Good Morning Ladies,
I hope you are all well, how is your week going so far? Ours has been ok, I managed to speak to Paul's Consultant's Secretary yesterday afternoon and she has 'pencilled us in' for a meeting today at 6.15pm. We are really hoping that he will agree to take Paul on as a Private patient for his Right eye surgery, his Secretary was lovely and seemed like she genuinely wanted to help.
Today's card is the stunning Sympathy card that Maria made for me after losing Mum, I can't tell you how much your kindness meant.
Maria's beautiful design was made by stamping the Crafters Companion 'Classic Rose' onto a pretty blue background in versamark (sticky ink) and adding White Embossing Powder, this mskes the design really stand out from the background, Maria then coloured the stamped image using a deep red/pink the leaves are beautifully coloured too. Maria finished the card with that beautiful sentiment. Maria, thank you so much for designing such a beautiful Sympathy card for me, I love it! XXX
Yesterday Pat came over, so lovely to catch up, particularly as we hadn't seen each other for about 3 months! We sat and 'Groovi'd' together, the design that Pat was working on was STUNNING! Thanks so much for coming over Pat xxx
I hope that you all have a lovely day Ladies,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-what a beautiful card from Maria, it’s so lovely.
Glad you had fun doing your Groovi with Pat yesterday.
Michele
A beautiful card from MARIA
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun with PAT yesterday and fingers crossed the meeting goes well this evening
It is so dark and miserable here that I am working with the light on
My new role hasn’t materialised yet but fortunately it’s allowing me to write up some notes I’d made for the previous team
Take care all xxx
Hi Sandra
ReplyDeleteA lovely card from Maria today. I’m glad your able to see Paul’s consultant today. Fingers crossed it’s productive. Sandra & I had a lovely productive afternoon yesterday. Funnily enough we both had projects from Hazel Edwards, I’d taken mine over for Sandra to see. Funnily enough 1 of Sandra’s projects was completely different to mine. So my project was photographed for Sandra to do and she sent me her candle project. I was working on a project from Maria Moorhouse. An awful lot of picot cutting which is getting better with practice. I also popped in to the garden centre at Lechlade to look at waterproof coats in Cotton Traders. As it was a coat I was allowed to try it on. It fitted so I bought it. It’s very dark here today and very wet. I’ll wear my Peter Storm waterproof today to see if my attempt to re waterproof it worked. It got absolutely soaked the other weekend when I popped up to Karen’s to see Sophie.
What a to do between Manchester & Boris, frankly I’m sick to death with Covid wrangles so usually mute the tv.
Take care & stay safe everyone.
Morning ladies.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest card to make and write is a sympathy one. When I saw this I thought that is a nice one and forgotten it was one of mine. You are more then welcome.
Hope the meeting goes well tonight and Paul gets the help he needs.
Nice that Pat could pop over and you both enjoyed some groovi work together. I so missing to craft with someone.
I decided yesterday to move a few things around, as you can understand crafting in the kitchen is not the biggest place but I spread myself out over the years, oops Lol Well you know that when moving anything you can't help but to make a mess and I really did, sorted a few bit out for the neighbours kids and tidied up as I went and some went in the crafting box in the garage. The result, everything had to go back to it's original place for it was not working out as I had pictured it !! Got a parcel from Craftstash to come soon too so it be more things to put away but so fed up never to find a good option how to store my stamps. Please, help someone !😵
It's raining all day so no walk today.Did some swearword instead and hopefully will start on a cc this afternoon, after I made a 12"x12" clear space Lol
Have a nice day everyone. Hugs Maria xx
Hello All, very dark and wet, waiting for storm Barbara to hit us later, with very high tides.
ReplyDeleteMaria love the card you did for Sandra, as you say they are very difficult, as were getting older seem to be making more.
Going to try and do my card for this week later, took all morning to put away what I used lats week.
I see the post are doing collections now, great if your post office is crowded, extra 70p, worth it if you are worried about COVID.
Sandra do hope you a successful outcome of your meeting tonight.
Have a good afternoon, hugs to all Lilian
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed and praying, because you should now be talking to Paul’s consultant, I hope he is able to help. shame you have to pay, You have contributed to NHS all your working life. it seems the NHS can only concentrate on Covid these days. I know the situation is serious but so are so many other issues, like Paul’s and some patients have had cancer treatment halted, in fact lots of people are going to take the NHS to court for that very reason. Soapbox away.
Fingers crossed 🤞 and praying 🙏 xxx
What a lovely card Maria made for you. Maria you are so very very thoughtful.
Love Brenda xxx
