My third Texture Background Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

It hardly seems possible that we are in July already, these weeks and months are just whizzing by, it's odd to think that we are on the now closer to Christmas than the  beginning of the Year!

Today's card was the result of a bit of a messy play session that I had yesterday afternoon, while having a move around I found some Cosmic Shimmer Lustre Polish, I have 3 colours, I had a play with a couple, spreading them onto both white and black card, this particular background was a blue Lustre Polish that I spread quite thickly onto black card, I then thought about adding some texture, so I scrunched some Cling Film over the wet paste, I then popped it on top of the Aga where it dried quickly, although I was a little disappointed with the amount of texture, so I thought that I would run it through a embossing folder, it was shiny and blue so I decided to go for a Festive theme.

After embossing I added some touches of Silver Gilding Wax, using the wrong side of the Cut and Dry foam, see below Karen.....

I think the fact that it's a firm surface it helps the wax glide over the surface of the embossing.

I tried to take a photo that showed the texture and shine, I thought that I would keep the embellishments simple and leave the textured background as the main feature.

I used some white Dotted Tulle ribbon (SU) and attached it at the back, I then tied a double bow and found a SU Metal Snowflake Embellishment that worked perfectly for the middle of my bow.

I finished the card with 5 tiny diamantes in the centre of some of the snowflakes.

Not a bad result from a bit of messy play!
