Good Saturday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend, have you all planned to go out to dinner or to the pub tonight??? No, we haven't either, we have decided to leave it for a few weeks to see what the effects of these new 'easing of lockdown ' measures are, just to see if we see that rise in the 'R' rate again.
It's nice to see that family can now stay overnight in our homes, Sophie is finally going to see Lewis on Saturday night and stay over, the first time since 10th March!
I did see on the news that there were lots of people heading to your area Lilian, I was surprised to see how many, they were filming at a Service station, I have a bad feeling about all of this!
Anyway lets see what today's post has for us.....
Janet
Just look at this gorgeous, detailed scroll, so intricate, you are so patient and talented to be able to create something so beautiful.
Janet's Description:
The first box is for 'Mixed Up Saturday' Everything is LABLANCHE from beginning to finish. The Scroll mould is made by a two part resin and finished off with a gold rub on paste. This was the first time I had used resin successfully. I first tried with a paste but the mould is too deep and it didn't pick up all the nooks and crannies. I have to say that I fell in love with resin.lol
I can't wait to see your next resin creations my lovely, thanks for sharing XXX

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteJanet-wgstbz stunning project, it’s beautiful.
Sandra-what a very true statement!
Up & our early to go to Morrison’s then the butchers in the village. It’s raining here and & quite breezy do I think our beach won’t be busy. Not sure about the pubs, wine bars & restaurants though. We’re planning on ordering a takeaway gif tonight to celebrate our week off work. I was determined to keep my week off work as I’d cancelled most of my time off in March & May.
My Uncle was discharged from hospital yesterday afternoon and I spoke to him briefly yesterday evening. He sounded so much brighter-fingers crossed he stays out of hospital now.
Michele
Morning Everyone

We're off to M&S food hall again this morning and then it will be straight back home. We won't be going out to eat as we too are waiting to see what's going to happen.
The CAFE is OPEN and there will be cream scones for afternoon tea this afternoon.
HUGS are on their way to you all.TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE. Have a good weekend.xxxx
Today’s saying is so so true Hence the me going back to my “mile a minute“ blanket that I started about 5 years ago- maybe longer I’d just back into crochet and it was something light and easy to take to craft club
ReplyDeleteThank you for the magazine review MICHELE I am so pleased that you managed to keep your annual leave and that your uncle is out of hospital
Your box looks beautiful JANET I can see why you’re a fan of La Blanche I love their stuff especially the idea of their flexible wood for going around box curves etc
We’re definitely not going to the pub any time soon A neighbour’s daughter who lives in Middlesbrough has had to book a 2 hour slot!
OH is working today and I intend to potter about doing crafting (cards and crochet),cooking (roasted veg) and baking (banana bread)
Take care all xxx
Hi everyone.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote, so very true 😂
Janet, your box is beautiful and I love the scroll.
Fab magazine review Michele, some great ideas there. Pleased to hear your Uncle is out of hospital. Enjoy your week off.
They’re calling today Super Saturday, due to the reopening of many businesses. Seen on the news some hairdressers opened at midnight, and someone posted on a local Facebook group that there were about 15 men waiting outside a local barbers this morning. Still haven’t booked anything yet - even had a voicemail from my hairdressers yesterday asking if I was going to book. Will wait as I’m in no hurry.
I’ve gone over a year in the past without having a hair cut, only thing is the roots but I’m getting used to it now so might just bite the bullet and leave it to do it’s natural thing! Wont be going to any pubs (not that we did before lockdown) or restaurants yet either.
Hope you all have a good day whatever you’re doing. Hugs to all xxx
Hi Sonia. I hope Luke enjoys his special birthday weekend although it’s not quite what he expected! I finally stopped dying my very grey hair just over two years ago after starting to go grey at 15. The growing out is the worst bit I think but I am so glad I did it as I had to dye the roots every couple of weeks as my hair grows quickly. So unfair that my dad still has more black than grey hair at nearly 80 and Mum like me was grey early! It does save a lot of time if it’s natural but I think you do have to feel ready. But then again you can always go back to dying it again if you don’t like it can’t you 🙂 x
DeleteMorning everyone.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous box,beautiful resin work.
Thanks Michele for the mag.review. Glad to hear your uncle is back home. Enjoy your holiday.
Not going anywhere just yet. Maybe meet up with SIL at end of July but nothing before and no going out to eat or coffee shops. Haven't felt ok since yesterday, wouldn't surprise me if a summer cold is on it's way, going back to bed.
Have a nice day all and take care. Hugs xxx
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteYour box is stunning Janet. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the magazine reviews Michele. I might not buy but I do like to have a look at what’s in them.
Good to hear that your Uncle is home from hospital. I’m glad to hear that you were able to keep your holiday as well. Enjoy your time off.
Very cloudy & windy here today. I’m not to sure we’ll be over Amy’s later today.
I won’t be going anywhere for a coffee nor into a pub. I’ll also wait and see what happens. I hope there’s not too much trouble in the towns from drunken louts.
I’ll probably go shopping later as I also need to pick up my meds. My pharmacy is in our Sainsbury’s so I can do a bit of shopping as well.
Stay safe everyone.
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
ReplyDeleteI live the saying, again it is so true 😙
Janet your box is fabulous, I love the decoration on it. Well done you x
Michele, I have this mag, I need to cancel it next month as the cheap issues are up then. If anyone would like the freebie A4 ish score board please let me know and I will send it to you as I know I won’t use it and I am determined not to add more stash that will not be used! There are some good articles in the magazine this month which I want to have a go at. Enjoy your break x
Sandra, we won’t be going out tonight either, not that we would normally either though. Like you we are waiting to see what happens. No doubt the binge drinking louts will be out in force for the police and ambulances/hospitals to have to deal with won’t they! Enjoy your weekend with Paul xx
Lynda, great to hear you got a bargain chair. That will be so helpful won’t it. Love to you both xx
Maria. I hope you are feeling better today. You did have a long walk didn’t you x
Karen, what a lovely surprise. Your lovely Oscar has the most infectious giggle, having heard him on the phone to you at our last Watford meet up, no matter what other issues he has to deal with he will always be smiling and laughing and making everyone around him smile. What a wonderful gift, bless him. Have you had cuddles yet with Charlie, I bet he is growing day by day x
The weather is so chilly and damp here, same as most of you I think. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
Hello Sandra and ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra I love that quote, i have so many PhDs but am reluctant to bin them as I can see they have potential!!!
JANET love your beautiful box. It looks so tactile, I would just love to keep stroking it, xx
MICHELE great news about your uncle. Thank you for the magazine review. They are always so helpful. Enjoy your week off. xx
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
Hi, sorry just realised not left my comment today.
ReplyDeleteNo excuse really.
Janet love the box, always wanted to try resin, but as of yet have not had the courage.
Michele, great news about your uncle, great mag review also.
Spent all morning doing my c card, only to realise that my trim across the middle is not straight, didn’t have time to do another one and it was stuck down very firmly.always the case when you would like to move something, so it had to go as it was.
Time to say goodnight all, Lilian
