Brenda's Beautiful Die Cut Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are enjoying what could be the last few hot, sunny days, if the weather forecast is right, dropping 10 degrees in some places.  In some ways it's a relief as it might make the people that consistently break Social Distancing rules by crowding onto parks and beaches, the downside will be that those of us that can Socially Distance sensibly with our families and friends won't be able to do so as the rules are for outside only (which I agree with), I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing my Mum and also Sue & Pat,  this is the longest we have gone without seeing each other in more than 5 years! I really miss our weekly crafting sessions, you don't realise how many things you take for granted until they are taken away.

Today I am literally buzzing with excitement to show you this stunning card that Our Brenda designed, it features a beautifully intricate die cut, the  die is one of Crafters Companions dies.
Brenda has created a frame for the card and added a beautiful,  delicate lace around the edges.
The centre features an ornate die cut cross and the card is perfectly embellished with a pretty ribbon bow topped with a flower that matches the rest of the card perfectly, the greeting and 3 tiny diamante in the bottom corner.
Brenda thank you so much for sharing your exquisite card with us. XXX

Here's hoping for one more day in the garden before the weather changes,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Brenda-what an absolutely stunning card. It’s gorgeous, I’m sure the recipient was thrilled to receive it.

Sandra-I can’t wait for some rain. The change in weather might help stop crowds gathering on beaches etc too. A group of volunteers have been clearing our beach every morning (7am) because of the sheer amount of rubbish that’s been dumped. The latest pictures included abandoned cool boxes...!!!

My briefing session wasn’t anything thrilling-just that they need all staff to feel included in the redevelopment of the service + department etc etc!!! Basically they want us to make suggestions for improvement then, if we complain they can say it was our idea. Waste of time I thought but Heh Ho.

  2. Morning Everyone
BRENDA-what a stunner. Your cards are always more like a work of art and this one definitely fits the bill.

It was another gorgeous day weatherwise yesterday and yet another world war started next door so much so that I had to close the doors etc.I'm definitely hoping for rain even if it gives us a bit of peace and quiet.

I need to look at my CC today well that's the plan at the moment.

The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting. Social distancing tables outside with brollies too.HUGS are on their way to you all. PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFExxxx

  3. Your card is absolutely stunning BRENDA A really beautiful keepsake
I agree with you about having some rain may ease the visits to beaches etc The world has gone mad
Some of my neighbours and I were planning to have tea on the lawn (social distancing obviously) on Thursday We might have to postpone it We started meeting up once a month or so before lockdown
I actually managed to start a cc yesterday - Yay! Then we went for a walk in our local park/woods It was glorious - still not found the fairy garden We’ll have to get our daughter (which we can now do) to show us
I hope to finish this one cc at least today and I’ve committed myself to the colour I want to use on my crochet project Hopefully it’ll be a semi-productive day
    Take care all xx

  4. Hello, wow is hot today, much as I lovely weather I find it difficult to breath. Rain would very useful for the poor plants.

Brenda , a really fabulous card, love that fine lace around the Edge, did you hand write the greeting at the top, it’s so neat.

Our new shed came today, it’s the same size as the old one, but being empty it looks huge, now to put everything away.

Hoping to do some crafting later, I find it really hard to craft in this hot weather, saps what little brain power I have. Have a good day all, Lilian

  5. Hi Sandra & ladies
Wow your card is stunning Brenda. Love the colour you’ve used as well.
I’m over Craig’s later for a social distancing dinner in the garden. I’m not to sure how that’s going too work though. The last time I went over they had no outside table. So I’d better take the lap tray I think just in case. I’m hoping the weather doesn’t break until after tomorrow as I’m going to pop over to Sandra's to pick up my cucumber plant. I’m still able to use the water buts at the moment to water my pots. I sat outside yesterday in the shade doing some picot cutting on my parchment. I was horrified to see all those people on the beaches over the weekend though. I’m not to sure which part of social distancing they don’t understand.
Stay safe f take care everyone.
My word you ladies were up late messaging last night I noticed this morning.

  10. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Thank you for all of your lovely comments on my card, my sister asked me to make special cards for sisters (Nuns) who were celebrating having been in the religious life for 70 years. This is the one I made for Sr Imelda.
LILIAN wish I could say I had written the comment at the top. It was done on the computer, the font is French Script.
Had a busy day mostly spent outside, we always seem to find another job or something to do in the garden.
Sending love and hugs to everyone, love Brenda xxx
