Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
Thankfully thr glorious weather returned yesterday, Lucy and I went out in search of Terracotta pots for my Dahlias, I needed three more, I saw the big ones online advertised as by Wilkos, I think all of their shops have closed down around here, when I clicked on them it took me to the Range, so that's where we went today, It appears that The Range have taken stock from Wilko's and Homebase, as well as having Iceland in there too. The shop is so muddly to walk round though, so we got what we needed and left, called into Home Bargains as since moving I seem to have lost all of my plastic food storage boxes, I got those and we headed home, it's quite the journey so it was about 4pm when we got home. It was lovely to get out of the house though.
Today's card is another from the Creative Stamping Magazine that I shared with you a couple of weeks ago. I only used the little butterfly stamp for this card, I will say that both the stamps and the sentiment where not the best quality, if you pressed anything more than extremely lightly you get double line, it took many attempts to get clean image with the Hummingbirds yesterday, several attempts with sentiment too, even using a platform.
I stamped the butterfly all over my card piece and coloured using Distress Watercolour pencils and a paint brush. I then did a light wash of Tumbled glass around the butterflies and added some splatters or 'dots'
I coloured and fussy cut 3 more butterflies and adhered them and added some clear glitter pen over the wings (not that it shows).
So I used Things with Wings/ink/ dots
I Hope that you all have a glorious day,
Sandra xxx
So pretty I really like that stamp So well done for persevering Sometimes even the expensive stamps only need slight pressure and it depends where in your stamping platform you mount it
ReplyDeleteWell! Don't laugh ladies but I’m actually wearing a dress today as it’s soooo hot - I don’t do shorts!
Off to Knit and Natter in a mo There’s a lady starting to learn calligraphy and I’m taking an item with my dad’s handwriting to show
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card with all the butterflies. Haven't seen many of them around now for a couple of years which is a shame.
We are going out soon, we first and be looking for a parasol stand. We got one but the wind nearly took it the other day so need to get a heavier one. Mum had an operation yesterday, spoke to dad and he said that all went well so that's good news. My sister is there to help but a bit tied up at the moment with two mums having got 6 puppies each so yes ,12 puppies ! The house is full 😊
Have a nice day everyone. Hugs to you all xxx
Hi, it’s been a really warm day, have managed to start planting up my pots.
ReplyDeleteSandra love your card, it’s so true about some clear stamps over stamping especially if you are like me heavy handed. I mainly stick to my Tim Holtz or stamping up now.
Going to do my challenge tomorrow, not sure what I am going to, probably another tag.
Hope you have a goodnight all Lilian
