Bit O' Grunge #2 and Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Babies

xxx Happy Birthday Lucy xxx

xxx Happy Birthday Sophie xxx

Good Morning Ladies,

I would like to start today by wishing my Beautiful Girls Lucy and Sophie a Very Happy 20th Birthday, I just can't believe that you are no longer teenagers, where did TWENTY years go!!
Love you Both more than you will ever know xxxxxxxx

Well yesterday turned out to be a 'Bonus craft Day' as Pat came over, I had to change from crafting today as the girls wanted me to go out with them for lunch. It made a welcome change to Housework day I can tell you!  Pat got her 'Groovi' on while I made another 'Simple Grunge' card.

Today's card is the 'Twin' of yesterday's card, this one was made with more muted tones, Sophie really isn't a bright pink kind of girl, these shades are much more 'her', well to be honest she would prefer Grey,Khaki, Burgundy!
It's made using pretty much the same method as yesterday's card, the only difference is that I didn.t emboss the stamp on this one (as it was first), so the stamp blends more into the background, I did use some masks to add some interest around the edges as the colours weren't as mixed and vibrant as Lucy's card.
I like how it turned out though, I hope that they do too.

We have cakes to make today, which will be fun, they usually like to decorate each others cake, although I think Sophie has said that she wanted a Toffee Pecan Roulade from Asda/Aldi as her Birthday cake, she said she wanted the whole thing to herself!  It is a family favourite, so we might all have to sneak a spoonful!
We are all going out for Dinner tonight, which is the best part of the day, I love having my family all together on as many occasions as I can manage.

I hope that you all have a lovely day too,

Special Hugs go out to Lynda and Margaret xxxx

Love and hugs to the rest of you too,

Sandra

We have gales of 55mph here today & it’s been like that all night, just horrible.

Quick comment as I’m running late this morning.

  4. Morning ladies,

    Happy Birthday Lucy and Sophie

Loving the grunge cards so far, still have to clear my table to get mine even started. The decluttering is going very well and finished soon. Amazing what I am finding that I hid away so as not to use it all in one go lol.

Terrible winds and clattering of hailstones all night kept me awake for most of it and the outside light from next door flashing on and off like a Belisha Beacon didn't help much either. I might need a snuggle down this afternoon.
The sun is shining brightly and the sky is clear blue with a few wispy clouds scuttering across quite quickly.

    Love 7 hugs

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Both Sophie and Lucy’s card are gorgeous, they will both love them in the colours you have used. It only feels like a few months ago that they were getting ready for their prom, don’t they look stunning in those beautiful dresses. Enjoy your day, no doubt you will be thinking of just what you were doing 20 years ago as each hour goes by 😊 Enjoy your meals with the girls and the rest of the family my lovely xx
Lynda, sending you gentle hugs dear friend x
Mum, glad you are not feeling dizzy any more. Love you xx
I have Chris jnrs fifth birthday card to make for next week. It is going to be a Lego one this year so hopefully won’t take too long!
It’s quite bright here today and not too cold so all of the windows are open for a while to have a good blow through. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hi Sandra & ladies
Wishing Sophie & Lucy both a very Happy 20th birthday. Enjoy the day with your Mum and dinner with the family this evening.
Spent a lovely day with Sandra yesterday a bonus as I couldn’t make Wed this week as I’m off to the Theatre with friends in the afternoon.
Well my microwave has been plating up the last few days. It’s a combi one and seems to do everything except microwave. I usually like to put a cup of milk to heat up for a hot chocolate at lunchtime. But I had to use the gas and a saucepan today. I’m hoping it can be fixed rather than me buying a new one. Just need to find someone in the area. Seems daft to buy a new one as all the other functions are working.
It’s cold and a Windy here today. I need to see Doreen this afternoon as I’m out for the day on Friday.
Sending hugs to everyone who needs one today.

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY AND SOPHIE, I hope you are having a lovely lunch with Mum, Enjoy the family meal this evening, just wondering when will you have time to fit in the birthday cakes? Girls enjoy your special day. XX

Sandra I love the second grunge card the colours are perfect, I’m sure Sophie loves it. As I said yesterday what a brilliant idea to make twin cards - you can’t go wrong x
I know what you mean when you said where have the years gone, our girls are 56 and 53 it’s only when I think about the grandchildren’s ages it brings it home, because to us they are still girls!!!

It sounds as though you have had all had really high winds, so scary especially when it’s dark, Hope you are all safe indoors and no damage has been done to your homes🤞

I must seriously get into making card that are needed this month, I have an 18th for next week and birthday cards for the 17th and 29th the lady will be celebrating her 18th birthday (leap year birthday) so has to be special!!

Time to get a wiggle on, Love and hugs to all, love Brenda xxx
