Purple Shades today

Good Morning Ladies,

I managed to get sat at my craft desk by about 11am yesterday,  that was after giving the bathroom a clean, which took long than usual with my added stiffness.  It was a very uncomfortable day by I did my best to distract my brain with crafting!

I chose to start with the card 206 and started by using my Distress Oxide Swatch to pick the colours

I went with Milled Lavender for the 'Light Pink, Seedless Preserves for the 'Orchid '  & Blueprint Sketch for the Royal Blue

I tried a few different ways of blending, starting with the lightest colour in the middle blending out to the darkest, which just didn't work, then I tried blending splodges of colour and spritzing but didn’t like how that looked either.  So I ended up doing a standard 'ombre' style blend.

After making sure the ink was dry I stamped a floral stamp at the bottom corner, then turned the stamp and added a little more detail in the opposite corner, I then added gold embossing powder and heat set.  I was unsure what to do with the sentiment but decided to go okd school and used oval dies with a scallop mat, then I thought it looked bare on the two unstamped corners so I added a couple of flourishes, die cut in gold mirror card .
I think I liked the outcome 🤔

I hope that you all have a better day today,  those of you with injuries and pain, sending you gentle hugs,

Love to all,

Sandra xxx

  3. Hi everyone
Gorgeous card, I love the ombre effect that you got going and so pretty with the gold.
I did a few more hours deep cleaning in the kitchen and run some washing machines, sadly it had to be hung indoors because it was raining today.I didn't have a very good night so it will be a earlier night. I hope you all had a productive day. Sleep well. Hugs to you all, xxx

  4. Hi, very chilly here today, lots of rain this morning, so no watering today.
Another fabulous card today, thought I might try a card tomorrow with your colour cards. You certainly have got the way of them.
Still have this terrible pain in my leg and back, not sure what I did if anything.
Have a good day tomorrow. Lilian
