Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
Well we didn't get the thunderstorms that we had warnings for but boy did we get the rain! We had a lovely lunch out with the girls though at a nearby Cider farm, it was super busy but we had a lovely lunch. The rain prevented any garden chores getting done but we got some holiday prep done, paperwork and list making, I am an avid list maker!! Anyone else??
Let's look at your Color Cube Challenge Projects:
Gina
Gina's Description:
Gina thanks for sharing your lovely sympathy card with us. I love the papers and the Arch shape, your card is perfect for the occasion.
Thank you so much for supporting the blog & challenges XXX
Lilian
Lilian's Description:
I found this old card which goes quite well for 419?
Hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.
The stencil is from Lavinia. Distress inks bundled sage, tea dye, sorry I think the third one is wild honey. Die leaves are from stamping up.
Hope it’s OK.
I'm so sorry that you have been in so much pain, it's so much worse when it stops us doing the things we love.
Your card has perfect colours for colour cube 419.
Thank you so much for sending me a card despite feeling rubbish. I really appreciate it XXX
Karen
Karen's Description:
Here’s a card for the challenge card 206
I used a homemade smoosher a la Natalie Bowers using Seedless Preserves Blueprint Sketch and a few splatters of White Pearl PP’s
Die cuts - can’t remember make of card created using Serif and the CMYK colours
Sentiment- Taylored Expressions stamped in Blueprint Sketch and heat embossed.
I love this card Karen the colours are perfect, I really love your background.
I didn't know anything about Natalie Bowers 'Smoosher' so went and had a look and its a fantastic idea. For those of you that are intrigued I will leave a link below to her video explaining how to make a smoosher using paper towel, sandwich bag and tape!
Thank you so much Karen for an inspiring card and the great tip for the smoosher.
I really appreciate your support XXX
Maria
Maria's Description:
I've made a card but couldn't find the colours I wanted to use, I'm sure some have done a runner.
I used Milled Lavender and Shades Lilac with a stencil but then couldn't follow or I couldn't for my life know what to use. This stamp set had never been used so I stamped and cut out this stiletto shoe and used my pens to colour it in.
Maria thank you so much for taking time to make a card for this challenge despite being so busy preparing for your visitors. The colours are perfect, the cards are only a guide so you just use them to inspire, maybe choosing colour combinations you wouldn't have thought of.
I hope that you have a lovely weekend, thankyou again for your support XXX

Ladies I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,
Love & hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx
Great cards ladies and as Sandra mentioned the cards are just a guide and are a great way of putting colours together that you might not have thought to do
ReplyDeleteThe “smoosher” is a great little tool It is exceptionally cheap to make and it’s reusable too
I feel that my card is a bit busy Next time I think I will use plain background and all the coloured flowers or the patterned background and use white flowers …. the jury is definitely out on this one
Your lunch sounded lovely
We had a lovely day We travelled everywhere by train and the steam train at the Spa Valley Railway was wonderful Good old fashioned seats Beautifully turned out staff The chuff chuff noise, smoke and smells was lovely 🚂Made the journey home quite comical being in a very modern electric train 🚆
Have a lovely day everyone xx
Hi, dry but still very cold, hoping not to use the heater today.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards today, it’s surprising how you quickly get used of using the cards. Going to have to make Karen’s smoosher looks very useful
Your train journey sounds such fun , Karen it’s nice sometimes to remember the old times. They were all steam when I was young. I was scared of the noise when they drew into the station.
Have a lovely day everyone. Lilian
