Fire inspired card alcohol inks

Good Morning Ladies,

Exciting day here as the lovely nurses at Cirencester hospital rushed my Prescriptions through so that I can start my treatment a week earlier than planned,  so wmI will get three lots in before we go away, I cannot tell you how relieved I am,  fingers crossed the procedure goes smoothly! 🤞
I am taking a Thankyou card,  some chocolates and flowers to the lovely ladies for pulling out all the stops for me, as I really don't think I could have lasted to October!

Oh my did I make a mess making today's card, I decided to use Alcohol inks for this one, I picked out the colours I had that were close to the colours on our Challenge card 419.
Rather than be inspired by the colours I was more inspired by the 'Fire'.  I made 3 or 4 backgrounds with these colours,  this one was my favourite of the three, to me it does have a 'fire' or sunset look. I used a Tim Holtz 'Meadow' die to cut the silhouette piece.  I wasn't sure about sentiment,  I may just use it as a journal piece.

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. I hope the treatment goes well and that the “build up” will make your holiday a more comfortable one
Today’s card is gorgeous and works perfectly for the “fire” It doesn’t need a sentiment - writing a message inside would be enough
My mojo is struggling this week I have a few ideas but just can’t seem to get my act into gear Plus I have to make a couple of personalised cards which won’t fit the challenge Nagging toothache isn’t helping either
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
Wow Sandra, this card is striking with it's flame coloured background. Very nice 👍
Wishes for a good outcome 🙏 thinking of you.
Karen, hope you got something for the tooth at home. When we were small, Grandma used to give us cloves to bite down on. Can't remember if it worked 🥴
Cleaning up in my craft room today, it is in a real state and why do I have so many boxes with no lids and lids with no box 😂 it's a mystery. If I can and my body lets me I will put a card together but no promises.
The weather is awful with heavy rain and gust of winds.
Sending healing hugs to you all, take care. Maria xx

  3. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Fire is exactly what you think of looking at this gorgeous background.
I hope your treatment went well and you got the lady who does it so well. Hopefully it will be taking effect when you go away 🤞🏻xx
A strange coincidence but I used m £5 birthday credit from Hobbycraft today before it ran out. After a trawl through their online site I ordered a twin pack of gold and silver alcohol inks! I’m hoping to get my alcohol inks and yupo out and have a play very soon, when my body lets me!
Karen, sorry to hear you have toothache. It drags you down doesn’t it. Have you tried clove oil or chewing a clove like Maria said. It was something our families always tried first too xx
    Take care. Love Sue xx

  4. Hi all, I thought I wrote this at lunch time, must have missed the publish button
Sandra great card, love the black with the fire colours. I’m finding they are tricky to get right.
Hope everyone is OK . Lilian
