Good Friday Morning Ladies,
Thank goodness its Friday, this week has been 'one of those' weeks! I can't put my finger on what it is, other than being in pain, but that's nothing new. I have made cards for the challenge but I haven't really 'loved,' any of them, today's included, it's not for lack of effort as the mess I made using the Alcohol inks for these backgrounds was huge! I seemed to have spread the inks everywhere! I will definitely be changing the challenge if its only the colours.
I thought these colours worked well for the Red Admiral butterfly, so I used my Spellbinders Butterfly dies to cut out the Butterfly in black card, I layered up the die cut with matt gold mirror card and a larger piece of the alcohol ink background onto a 5 x 5 black card base.

ReplyDeleteI definitely wouldn’t have thought of using a butterfly to show off the lovely inky background but it is the perfect way to and I love it, a wonderful card. I hope to see you fir a catch up later my lovely xx

Karen, be thinking of you. Toothache is not nice to have. Maybe you could get an earlier day ? Saying that, I'm due a blood test and couldn't get one until the 24/7, that's so silly. I'm like you Sue , don't wont to you give my blood to anyone. They using me like a pincushion. I have some ironing to do, the stand hasn't been out for at least 10 years 🤭
The dusting and hovering downstairs while OH is doing the three toilets. I did have a play yesterday afternoon but not really happy with it, will see if I can save it. I couldn't find the colours you had used. The funny thing is that I'm sure I had them but can't find them anywhere.
It's not raining at the moment so have been able to open the patio doors to get some air in, had forgotten how hot I get by ironing.
