A pretty Sympathy Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I managed to summon the energy to get in my craft room yesterday afternoon  which I am grateful for, after another very long night I managed to fall asleep after the cup of tea Paul bought me in eased the pain in my throat.  I took my tablets and pulled the sheet up to my chin and must have fallen asleep, I woke briefly a couple of times during the morning when Paul or girls came to see if I needed anything but when I properly stirred it was 1pm !!
I am thankful for those few hours, I just hope that it doesn't mess up me sleeping at night ( If that ever happens)  I got to the point of laying there crying out of a combination of Exhaustion and Frustration!  Maybe tonight will be different.

I ordered myself some Immune Boosting Turmeric Shots, they are really high in vitamins and minerals, they come refrigerated as they are fresh juice, the reviews were really positive so hopefully I'll be skipping like a Spring Lamb by February🤣😂😅

Todays card is one that we all dread having to make,  my Aunt called me Monday to say that her Husband had passed away while they were on holiday in Norfolk,  which must have been awful, luckily her Daughter was with her so she had support bless her.
I was looking at different styles of Sympathy cards but decided to go pretty as I know she likes floral and it will hopefully lift her spirits a little when she opens it.
I used my beautiful 'Hues of Happiness' papers and the dies that match to create the front.   The verse inside is from a stamp set called Woven Heirlooms, I think it is perfectly worded for the occasion. I added a couple of smaller flowers to the inside of the card to carry theme, besides it looked kind of stark without any detail.   A bow and some faceted gems finish the card.

I hope that you all have a great Thursday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Like you say these are cards we don’t want to make It’s very pretty and your aunt will certainly appreciate it
Don’t worry about your sleep patterns You are ill and need that rest There is a difference between tiredness and sleepiness I cannot remember which way around it is but one is if you have a reason to stay awake eg something nice or important you will The other means that you really really need that sleep Hopefully once the infection has gone your sleep pattern will improve Just don’t overdo things Sleep and rest are great healers
OH will be watching his beloved Chelsea tonight So I will be either in my craft room or in front of the tele crocheting
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
Not an easy card to make but this card is lovely and the words are perfect. Sorry for her loss.
Sleeping too much or not sleeping at all, well that not so easy to get right but at the moment it sound like you need the extra hours.
Sue, wishing you and the family to feel a lot better asap.
Well wishes being sent to you all and wishes for a nice day whatever you are up to. Many hugs xx

  3. This a lovely card for the occasion needed and as Maria says above not one we like to make. I have problems with sleeping too. I couldn't get to sleep the night before so went to bed early last night and managed to get to sleep with only waking a couple of times but drifted back off each time. Feel a lot better today for it. Hugs Mrs A.

Glad you managed to get some sleep, please take it easy xx
Another wet and windy day here today, heard it’s meant to get colder next week with possibility of snow. Anything is better than this continuous rain!
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xxx
