Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Today is another chance for us to give thanks and remember those that gave their lives so that we could live freely. We will always Remember them.

Your Old/New Challenge Cards

Karen

Karen's Description:

Card 1: Here’s the finished onePositive and negative I used green mirri card and a Sizzix die.  Inspired by Clean and Simple cards on FB.

Card 2:  I made this yesterday for my great niece Apart from the card blank everything I used has either never been used or not used in a very long time.

Love both of your cards Karen, your Christmas card is stunning, I adore the Clean & Simple look ❤️  Your card for your Great Niece  is lovely,  I really like the mix of Modern (the sentiment) with the 'traditional ' (balloons & cake). It really works, it's so hard to make cards for relatives that we don't see regularly,  I have no idea what my niece is into, she was super crafty but has moved on from that!  Your card is perfect for that scenario.
Thank you so much Karen for two incredibly inspirational cards  XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

My two cards for this week's Challenge are made using
Stamps from a set that PHIL MARTIN launched some time ago.
They were at the bottom of my box where I store my stamps.
To complete both cards I used background papers and embellishments from my stash.
I have to admit that I was so thankful I have a 'Stamping Platform' or I wouldn't have been able to consider using these stamps as they are on the large side.

Oh Janet, two lovely cards, that first card would make a perfect journal cover, I love, love, love that background paper!!
Both sentiments are lovely too,  I like the style of them too.  I like you would not consider stamping these without a platform,  I have some of Phil's stamps they are long rectangular stamps in different themes, to this day I haven't got a decent stamped image.
Thank you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

Maria

Maria's Description:

I just put together a pair of x-mas cards out of things in my
bit box and papers I have had forever but never been used.

Two lovely Christmas cards Maria, that background paper on your first card is stunning,  I think it would look amazing with a big die cut sentiment too.  Your pretty, traditional Christmas toppers work too, love the little bells too 🥰
Your second card is so lovely,  a perfect traditional Christmas card, perfect for posting too. XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi here is my card for this weeks challenge,
I used a piece of paper from a Stamperia pad, called forest, I had forgotten all about it, it’s mostly wild life, but I thought this background suited the the tree stamps from stamping up. A few gold stars and some stickles.
Have the family coming soon so I’d better get on.
Hope you have a good weekend.

Oh Lilian 😍 the scene you have created is A-MAZ-ING !!  Did the background have that crackle texture on or have you added that?  This could be either a Christmas/ New Year Card or a Winter birthday for those Men in our lives.   Thank you so much for taking part, I hope you have a lovely weekend with your family XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

I’ve used a couple of Sue Wilson’s festive dies, which haven’t had much use! I used Kraft card, distressed the edges and inked with a white ink pad. I also inked with white over the Poinsettia and the ‘merry’ die (which I think is from a Reverse Confetti set)

Oh Sonia what an amazing Vintage style Christmas card, you must be so pleased with how it turned out!  You have given a totally different look to those Sue Wilson poinsettia dies.
Thank you so much for taking part during such a busy week at work, I hope you aren't too exhausted XXX

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Once again Ladies I send you my heartfelt thanks for supporting the Blog and Challenges, I had one of those 'low' weeks mentally, where you think 'what's the point', am I just burdening you all with these challenges each week, hence my overthinking Friday's Challenge.  But I've brushed those dark thoughts aside and painted on a smile!  I really do want you to know how much I love and appreciate you all X❤X

I hope that you all have  lovely Sunday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Lovely lovely cards ladies It is good to see some “older” stash being used For instance I am sure I have those poinsettia and snowflake dies you have used Sonia I need to dig them out and use again!
I hope you feel better today SANDRA You certainly are not burdening us AND please have that smile, enjoy what you have , don’t paint the smile on - wear it
Dancing was great yesterday afternoon I really enjoyed it Felt a bit weird going in daylight The bonus being we have only ever done that in the past on a Sunday I kept thinking that and so waking up today to realise it IS Sunday is a bonus
The saying you have put on for today is so true for the passing of any young person Thank you xx
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Morning ladies
Wonderful card ,so nice to see so many different themes and what we can make out of the stash we got in bundles. I love them all.
Some days are harder then others and I do struggle with getting the mojo to be around but if I didn't have your blog to go to and the weekly CC's it would be a very lonely place. Wish anyone else out there would see that and join our lovely little group, we don't bite :)
Have a nice Remembrance Sunday everyone. Many warm hugs to you all xxx

  4. Hi everyone
Beautiful cards today, they’re all fantastic 😊
I’m glad to be home after a busy day at work. We had the Remembrance service on, which some of the residents came to watch, and were able to observe the 2 minutes silence.
I’m off tomorrow, but sadly have come home to lots of housework needing to be done, so that’s what I’ll be doing on my day off! Sorry, I don’t mean to moan, but it’s never ending 😔
Hope you’ve all had a good day
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Fantastic display of challenge cards, I love each and every one of them, you are so gifted and inspiring ladies.
Sorry you have had a ‘low’ week Sandra, you are not burdening anyone with the challenge each week, I’m just sorry I haven’t been contributing lately, my head tells me ‘yes’ go for it, but the body is not a team player at the moment, Think the head should have words with the body !! You had a week when the girls were not around so much, fortunately Sue was able to pop over midweek……what a lovely friend she is.🥰
We all have times when we feel low and often can’t understand why we feel like that, just try and concentrate on something that you can loose yourself in, you have so many talents I’m sure sometimes you can totally loose yourself in what you are doing, just try and relax. xxx
Lillian who stole the weekend, it seems like only yesterday you said daughter was coming for the weekend. I hope she will be able to return soon, thank goodness we have telephone’s and the internet. When my mother left home in Southern Ireland, it must have been about 1933 she could only contact her parents by mail, grandmother couldn’t read, not sure who would read her mail to her, probably the postman as he always stayed for a cuppa. Thank goodness we are able to keep up with our family’s with the technology we have at our fingertips today.
Take care dear friends, it’s like getting a love warm hug every day knowing you are there. XxXx
    Bug hugs, Brenda xxx

  6. Hi Sandra and all looking in today.

On this special day I want to add my thanks. We will remember them.

Beautiful cards again. Sorry I didn’t get mine finished. I have so many PHD’s maybe that could be a challenge one week. I know just how hard you always think about what the challenge is every week with trying to make sure everyone can join in. We all appreciate everything you do for us all my lovely. Please don’t forget that. I know I have issues with remembering to come in everyday but I would be lost without you and the wonderful friends I have made here. Anybody looking in that fancies sharing their cards or just wants to say hi won’t regret it.
I hope you have all had a good weekend. Sending hugs. Take care xx
