Mixed Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

What a wet and dreary weekend,  Our Matt is off to Winter Wonderland in London today, its a shame that the weather is better. He'll have a good day no doubt, when Paul and I went it rained so hard I was wet through to my  underwear!!  We still haven't managed to book our London trip 😕!

What do you all have planned?  Anything exciting?  After our trip food shopping yesterday I felt absolutely wiped out, it was my first full day out of bed yesterday, so food shopping was maybe a trip too far!  So an easy weekend for us  hopefully some crafting!!

So many people have already put their Christmas decorations up, it's crazy, have you ladies starting early?? We definitely are not!

Maria

How beautiful are these Crystal Art Paintings by our Maria?!  Such gorgeous scenes Maria, you pick some amazing designs and they look like they take hours and a lot of patience.  I am so happy that you have another craft that you enjoy so much,  thank you so very much for sharing them with us. Creative Stamping Magazine

Issue 115

This issue has some fun free gifts, a lovely stencil that will work for creating backgrounds for the Free stamps that also come with the magazine.  The stamps feature some very popular 'Gnomes'and lots of dies to create scenes for them , I love that big tree, the stamps are made in conjunction with the Colorado Stamp company.

The first feature uses both the stamps and the stencils to create some lovely backgrounds,  I think that these cards would make great cards for men, with the darker colour way, you could definitely lighten them up though.

This feature would have been perfect for last challenge as Sarah has used the free stamps to create a range of cards all influenced by triangles.

Another Masterclass that focuses on Embossing Powders,  this feature shows how to create some different backgrounds, the different embossed backgrounds look great.

Some lovely Festive cards from this Designer, I love the clean and simple style.

I included this feature to give some inspiration for anyone with a 'Media ' or 'Gelli' plate.  Stamps have been used to create some gorgeous cards.

Some great ideas for using your free stamps to create some fantastic Gift wrapping.

How lovely are these village scenes created with the free stamps.  Some really lovely ideas.

This last feature shares inspiration for cards for all occasions,  showing that the stamps aren't just for Christmas.

The magazine has lots of other features, from companies sharing their latest products, there are giveaways too.

We definitely do not put our decorations up early It’s only a tree anyway I’m all for keeping Christmas in December and I have to get through a couple of anniversaries too One being today - the anniversary of Gary’s death It may be 13 years ago but it is still very raw and feels like yesterday The family are visiting the zoo At least the grandkids will cheer me up!
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hi everyone
Good shopping by our Sonia, love the snow flakes.
Have I sent you a CA with a dog too or not, might have just thought it.
Thanks for the magazine review. I like the stamps but also bought some gnomes recently so maybe not this time.
Karen, thinking of you all today. Big hug.
OH watching football and I am meant to be cracking on with the x-mas cards. Sitting looking at the mess while having a mug of hot chocolate is as far I have got 🤭
Wishing you all a good day as possible, take care everyone. Many warm hugs to you all. Xoxo

  3. Hi everyone
Love the quote, it definitely rings true! 😉
Great magazine review, I love the freebies.
Maria, your crystal art pictures are as beautiful as ever.
Karen, thinking of you and your family today xx
We don’t put our decorations up until a couple of weeks before Christmas. I’ve seen a lot up already around here, and they are up at work too - although the official switching on of the lights is on Wednesday!
Hope you’re all having a good day
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  4. Hello, another very wet and windy day. Had a letter from our water company encouraging us to still keep on saving water. Apparently the reservoir for most of Cornwall is still only 15per cent full.if we all keep saving water, we get £30 off our bill in the spring, can’t see how that’s going to work but we will see.
That saying is o so true, each time I try not to make such a muddle, but at least I clear my table after each session.
Maria love your pictures, you must have very nimble fingers.

Magazine looks good, but not this month.
Sonia nice bit of shopping, love that snow flake.
    Hugs to all Lilian

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
I hope Matt enjoyed his day today at Winter Wonderland, it looks so magical.
Great magazine review, thank you for taking the time to highlight so many great articles for everyone.
Karen hope you have managed to get through today, focus on the happy times spent with your lovely son, no one can take those precious memories away from you. xxx
Maria your crystal art is lovely, I don’t think my clumsy fingers could cope with such fine detail.
Sonia love your shopping, great dies and those gumdrops will be so useful.
I hope your medication has helped Sandra, if it hasn’t you really must get back to your GP or call 111 xxx
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies.
    Love Brenda xxx
