A Monday Memory

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I think  'Monday  Memories' might become a thing as I always seem to run out of time on Sunday's for crafting,  mind you yesterday I ran out of time because I was sorting through my old dies, we are talking 2010'ish when the collection started, back then Spellbinders where the main die company, Sizzix were a bit slower to get to the thin dies.

Paul bought me these old Aircraft Service Folders home from work, so I covered them in paper and decorated them (hideously when i look back) 😳! I was shocked at how many I had, all of which I haven't touched in years, then we get to the Sue Wilson dies, I started like most of us with the Californian Collection and loyally bought most of whatever followed, until it became too much !          I must try and make an effort to use them!

When did you all start collecting dies and do you still use them?

Today I am sharing some more of  the cards I made using these older dies, the cards are from 2014, scary to think thats 8 years ago!!

I know our Maria loved the first card, I don't think that they have dated too much.

I hope that you all have a great Monday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  1. Hi everyone
I love the trip down memory lane with the old dies. Your cards are beautiful 😍 The binders are perfect for storing them in.
I really can’t remember the first die I bought, I shall have to get them all out and then it might jog my memory ☺️
Hope you’re all having a good day.
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  2. Hello All, wet again. Sorry I missed yesterday, loved all of the cards yesterday.

My first dies were small plain circles, I was thrilled to be able get perfect circled.

I love all of the cards, bring back memories.

Have dug out my dies, so will have to go through them to get some ideas. Didn’t collect many of the Sue’s dies, too expensive for me then. The first die I bought was an oak leaf bigs die.

Legs and back are bad again today, so haven’t done much today.
Hugs to you all, especially Sandra, hope the Dr visit goes well. Lilian.

  3. Hi Sandra and all looking in today. What beautiful cards. Your flower arrangements on your cards are always fabulous. The storage books you have your old dies in are perfect for the job. Shame you can’t get more of them these days. I will have to find my first die I bought. It was a Spellbinders flower. Thinking of you my lovely xx
It will be interesting to see what dies we all use this week.
Sending hugs to everyone. Take care xx

  4. Hi everyone
I love your folders Sandra. Think to sit there and look through them and then you get all these wonderful cards made out of them.
I like your system. I will have a look around tomorrow what I can find, not sure which one I bought first but think it was the circle and square set by spellbinders.
Popped into town this morning. It was pretty busy but managed to get the few things we needed for Molly and Louis. Will miss the "kids" but hopefully SIL and her daughters and family will keep us occupied for x-mas day.
Tried to make some cards this afternoon but didn't get very far again.
Hope you had a good day, sorry to see some of us did not but wishing you better and sending warm hugs to you all. Wrap up warm if going out the next few days, it will be chilly. xxx
