Your 'Bit Box' Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning My lovely Friends,

We had a lovely day yesterday,  sunny with a bit of wind, we managed a couple of hours in the garden, I was just pottering,  Paul was very productive though.  I was delighted to see that the Kale that we planted back in spring, that the caterpillars had eaten down to bare stalks had started to regrow, when we got back from holiday my heart sank to see that there was nothing but stalks, the sprouts we had grown for Christmas were badly eaten too  although with daily caterpillar checks we have saved those thankfully, It puzzles me every day where the darn things come from every day,  we think we have got every single one but the following day we find a big fat juicy one, it doesn't help that they are the exact colour of the leaves that they eat !!!

Enough caterpillar chat lets look at your gorgeous Challenge Cards....

Your 'Bit Box' Challenge cards

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, here is my card for this week, small pieces of left over papers, run through an embossing folder, sorry no name on it. Ink the lines and black edges.

Lilian what a brilliant idea, running the bits through an Embossing folder and the inking the embossed lines, genius, I love it and will definitely be having a go!   It looks like you have perfectly paper pieced each bit of paper!

Thank you so very much for taking part my lovely XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

My Challenge card for this week was made from left over bits of STAMPERIA's ALICE IN WONDERLAND 8X8 PAD.
The backing mirror card bits are left over from making Seasonal cards over the last few weeks and are from TONIC. I really haven't found any better mirror card from any other supplier.

It's amazing how papers from totally different collections work together so well, that's Stamperia for you!  Such a lovely card that will bring a smile to it's recipient.  Thank you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Here’s my “bits” card
All made with white card coloured with Do’s in one way or another.

A lovely card Karen, I love the effect of the paint flicks in the background,  it gives the card a visible texture almost.  I have to say that I love the font of your '30th' die cut.
Thank you so much for taking part, you have had a busy week so I really appreciate the time you took XXX

Maria

.
Maria has created two lovely Challenge cards, the first card uses the 'sunburst' effect using some lovely subtle papers to create that incredible effect.  I love that saying too!
The second card is a super adorable Christmas card, that snowman looks so cuddly, with that gorgeous fluffy scarf.  I love the colours too.

Thank you so much for taking part in the Challenge my lovely XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

For the first card I used bits of Anna Marie Designs papers. Sentiment from the Stamp Market and Tim Holtz butterfly. Second card is using Tracy Hey papers, and the butterfly again. Quite simple but I like the effect ☺️

Like you, I love ❤️ the effect of the simple design,  they do say that "less is more" and where these cards are concerned I agree!
Both paper collections are gorgeous and using just  a few strips shows how lovely they are.  I would say that that beautiful Tim Holtz butterfly is becoming a 'Sonia Trademark ' ™️
Thank you for two gorgeous Challenge Cards my lovely XXX

  1. Morning Everyone
What a lovely selection of CCs this week.
It's amazing what 'left overs' can be made into.

I'm hoping for a quieter week but it's K&N on Tuesday and it's my turn to 'take and make'. Fortunately I made a set of kits while I was away so hopefully it won't be too busy.

The CAFE is OPEN after the Summer hols but sorry I haven't got around to a Sunday lunch menu for today.
HUGE HUGS are ontheir way to you all.
Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Gorgeous cards, no one would guess what the challenge was.
Sandra, glad you have managed to save some of the veggies. Mother Nature has created some very clever creatures hasn’t she. The way the caterpillars hatch at different times is a real pain for you though isn’t it! Hope you have had a nice day today my lovely xx
Lilian, your card and the technique is fabulous. I would never have thought of embossing the card then drawing in the lines. Xx
Karen. I hope you enjoyed your dancing today. I’m pretty sure I would mess up the black lines if I tried Lilians beautiful embossed card technique too Karen 😏xx
