Good Morning Ladies,
Much better weather here yesterday, we actually saw the sun!
Lucy and I are setting off on a mission to get a list of chores done before tomorrow's lockdown starts, banks, Post Office, Prescriptions etc, we will get a few essentials too to get us through Paul's self isolation period prior to his surgery.
Paul and I were sick of hearing about the American elections so we ended up watching The Good Life! I had forgotten how funny it was, good harmless fun! Do you have any favourite sit coms from the 70's !!
The house seems so much quieter without Harley Dog, Paul's missing his little buddy already, he really did enjoy their walks, Milo & Bella are strutting round like they own the place!!
Today's card is the second part of my Challenge pair, I used the Couture Creations 'Timeless' Embossing Folder to make a Christmas card yesterday and a Birthday card today.
I used a pretty blue card called Sea Spray, I embossed it with the folder and this time I used the 'Debossed' side as it seemed to look more defined.
I wanted to let the Embossing folder shine so I kept the details very simple, I used the Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday' die for the sentiment and I just added 3 little die cut flowers in opposite corners of the sentiment and added some tiny leaves.
Simple but effective I think, I think I just love the colour combination.
I hope you all have a lovely day,
Sending my love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-gorgeous Card, the elegance of the Embossing Folder is so obvious on this card.
My favourite 70’s sit coms are Bless this House, On the Buses and Are you Being Served(this might be the 80’s though) plus my absolute all time favourite viewing is the Carry On films!!! I can watch them over & over again.
Yesterday wasn’t too bad but let’s just leave it at that!!
I’m off to the hairdressers tonight-she’s staying open late specially for me so I’ll come straight home, get changed and go and collapse in the chair!
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteI just love love that efolder which really makes your card so beautiful.
quite a busy day for me as it's the day to change the bedding (which I really do hate doing) and my hairdresser is coming this morning. She should be coming tomorrow but bless her she rang and changed it so that I could get it cut before lockdown tomorrow. My next scheduled cut is middle of December so that's a 'wait and see'.
My real favourite sit com is 'Waiting for God' I just love Diana. She definitely follows one of my all time favourite poems 'When I grow old I will wear Purple'. I also love 'The Good Life'- I think they were the 70s.
The CAFE is OPEN just waiting for youall to pop in.
HUGS are winging their way to you all.TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.XXXX

Hi Sandra f ladies
ReplyDeleteA lovely card today Sandra.i must ring the chiropodist in a minute and see if she’s working through lockdown. Apparently they can but I need to make sure as I have an appointment next week. I’m going over Craig’s later as I’ve been invited over for dinner. I’m not to sure whether lockdown will continue into Dec , it might finish at the beg of Dec if everyone does as there told. But I won’t hold my breath for that.
Take dare f stay safe everyone.

Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. What a difference you get with this lovely ef and that gorgeous Sea Spray colour card . Love it with the creamy flowers and sentiment. The devising looks really deep and clear. I hope you and Lucy managed to get everything done today. I can just see Bella and Milo strutting through the house 😁 I love all of the seventies comedies. Funnily enough The Good Life is one of my all time favourite sit coms, also Porridge, Man about the house and George and Mildred. Like Michele the Carry On films are my favourite films to relax with xx
ReplyDeleteKaren, did you get to see the new house? What does Oscar think of it? I can imagine him going from room to room giggling away with that infectious laugh of his 🥰 x
Hope you had / are having a good day. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLovely card again today. The embossing folder is so versatile.
Hope you and everyone has managed to get everything done before tomorrow’s lockdown. Fingers crossed it’ll only be the 4 weeks.
So very cold today, but at least it was dry and bright.
Took Barney for his 12 week injection this afternoon, another week and then we can start going out for walks 🦮
Hope everyone has had a good day. Hugs to all xxx
Hi, all, rather late again, no excuses, just forgot.
ReplyDeleteSandra loved your card, will have to make sure mine are to your lovely cards.
I’m busy making more masks today for my cleaners, they had useless ones, so I’ve said I’ll make them some.
I’ll say goodnight, hope you all sleep well, Lilian
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteToday’s card is really beautiful, love the colours you have used. The embossing folder works so well using the embossed or debossed side both giving a lovely effect.
I’m sure you are all missing Harley, even the cats although they are pretending to be top cats.
We have been out most of the day, went to hairdresser friend this morning, then dropped in on daughter as we were passing close by. Stayed and had lunch with her and SIL. Then did Asda before returning home. Once home did an online check on bank. Two of the unauthorised orders I had at the weekend had been charged to our account. One amount had been refunded but there was still one outstanding. I tried contacting Amazon, phone is permanently engaged, email is not available. Found contact customer services at the bottom of the page. The option gave me choices, one was call me back now - OMG couldn’t believe it- they called and I spoke to a person, OK I was on hold while they investigated what had happened, but was told by Patrick the refund will go in over night 🤞 Watch this space !!!
Tahoe care and stay safe everyone, Love Brenda xxx
