Part 1 of my 2nd Challenge card set

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and relaxed after the weekend, ours flew as usual, we really didn't do very much at all apart from little jobs around the house, we did shopping etc on Saturday and Sunday we pottered around in the morning then I went into the craft room in the afternoon and Paul sat and did his accounts.
We then went into the kitchen to figure out how to cook Beef stew in our new Ninja Foodi, (slow cooker/pressure cooker) thing.  Oh what fun!! I have had an old fashioned Pressure cooker for some years but I just couldn't get on with it, it was one that had a weight thing on the top, I used to frighten the life out of me, this new one does all the thinking for you and tells you what to do, it also won't go under pressure if there isn't enough water etc, watch this space, I will let you know how we get on!!

Today's card is the first of two cards that I made using this stamp set, I really like the set, I bought it a while ago from Ebay I think, it's a Stampin Up! set called Serene Silhouettes.
For this particular card I took a stamp from one of my background stamp sets and created the shaded area behind the tree, I then inked up the tree with Versafine Black ink and stamped the tree and sentiment.
To finish the card I matted on to Black card and then placed that onto a white base card.
Super simple but quite effective I think.
Tomorrow's version has a little more colour!!

Today I am going to sit and make the cards using the dies that Inlovearts sent me, I just haven't had any inspiration to use them so far, let's hope I have some today.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Gorgeous card Sandra, looking forward to seeing the second one.

I finally managed to get into my craft room and actually made 2 cards!

The weather improved after lunch so we did end up going for a walk-seems a shame not to when the weather is fine.

I’ll not get chance to pop in tomorrow morning as I need to be at the Hospital by 7:45. I’ll try to pop in later in the day.

All of the challenge cards are great and I must say that Maria’s genius use of the fruit net makes a lovely mask. I will try to remember that idea.

  3. Morning ladies,

Wow! love this card today Sandra, especially the ethereal background.

Lost without my car, her MOT showed up a few faults that needed rectifying before MOT can be issued. Hopefully tomorrow will see the delivery of a new brake fluid pump to complete its recovery. Apparently this is a recorded fault on Corsa's and the new one will come with a replacement guarantee. Mega bill but heyho she is my lifeline now I am back to driving.

It will soon be half term so chance for Milly-May and me to have some precious crafting time. Plus shopping, plus role playing, plus park plus cooking etc. etc. She certainly keeps me on my feet and I love every minute.

    Love 7 hugs

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
A lovely ca d today Sandra. Not much went on here over the weekend either, except for the rain. I could do with some warmer weather. Mind you that’s not going to be for a couple more months yet.

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the cafe' today.
Very nice card Sandra , looking forward to see the second version. Need some inspiration to get me going.
Had a nice walk down the lake this morning while it was blue sky and sunshine but now it's gone over and the rain clouds are hanging very low. OH going for eye test so I'm going with to have a look in WHSmith for the crafting mag. Michele reviewed on Saturday.
If Littlelamb by any chance is looking in I'd like to wish her a Happy Birthday and hope she is having a nice day.
Many hugs are sent to you all, Maria xxx
