Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
We had a very relaxed saturday afternoon, the girls were exhausted from football, they do the full 90 minutes now, you can see towards the very end of the game they were all really flagging, but they managed to prevent the other team scoring, although it was a close call at times, plus the other team had subs so could keep changing players and for the past couple of matches we have had none, so the girls are really working hard, thankfully Sophie and Lucy kept up their fitness on holiday, they swam for hours each day and did all kinds of ball games, you can really tell which girls have bothered and which girls spent the summer sitting on their backside in front a lap top!
Now onto today's stunning card, it was my birthday card from Patricia, it was in a beautiful box, the keyring is a cute little gift that was packed in with the card, Paul must have thought it was part of the card! The oriental papers that Patricia has used are just divine and match perfectly, to me it reminds me of the Willow Pattern that my Nan had on great big china plates in her cabinet, she used to tell us the story of the pattern, I remember it started ''two birds, flying by' but the rest eludes me for now.
Patricia has embellished this card with her 'signature' hand made flowers, so pretty and made in matching papers. I am not too sure what the foliage die is that Patricia has used, but it is so lovely, delicate and not too overbearing, I would love to know please Patricia, they card was beautifully finished off with a Super Pretty Bow.
Thank you so very much Patricia, It really was a 'WOW' moment when i opened the box xxxx
I am hoping for another relaxed day tomorrow, I am going to make Millionare's Shortbread and maybe some brownies with the girls.
Paul went and picked another good pound and a half of Raspberries from the allotment on the way home from work, we must have had a good 5 or 6 pounds of raspberries altogether, which is fine with me as \I prefer them to strawberries. We have been freezing them on trays and then bagging them up, they are then perfect for our smoothies, Soph and I have been living on them, they include, Kale, frozen fruit (blackberries, raspberries, black and red currants), some frozen pineapple, fresh apple, pear and a banana, a scoop of oats and then some plain greek yoghurt and a little pure juice, I prefer cranberry, but Soph like pure orange juice! I know she is getting her 5 a day now atleast, they are yummy though and really make you feel full and ready to start the day!
Maybe I will bring the juicer into the cafe and you could all make your own?
That's all from me for now,
Love and hugs
Sandra
xxxxxxx
Good morning Sandra and ladies, well when I opened the cafe this morning I did think I had actually popped into Patricia's by mistake! Then realised it was her birthday card to Sandra. It was the flowers that throw me. Yes her flowers are wonderful, that why I have her make mine for me.
ReplyDeleteYes big sis your card is stunning. Sandra did the little saying in your key ring sum you up? I have one and a good few are me!!!
Well Andrew slept all night in his own bed, he always does here but not at home, so when he woke at 7, after at least 10 and 1/2 hours I couldn't expect him to not to get up. Me I could have stayed in bed and slept, I had not long fallen asleep, one of those nights of watching the clock. Seeing we have a full house for Sunday night tea, I might just need a little nap after Derek picks Andrew up. I will just have to make sure I have everything done by then. I hope everyone is well, I am a bit concerned about Sheila and Saba they haven't been in for a few days. I will leave ((((( hugs))))) in the basket, so just help yourself, I am off to make one wee man some hot buttered toast, it was " please granny can I have some buttered toast with your proper butter". Mummy uses Flora and grandad here likes his unsalted lurpac , so I will go get that done. xxx
Hello Hazel, what is it about children nowadays. My three grandchildren hardly ever manage a full night in their own beds and when they all stayed with us in the cottage I had all three in bed with me at one point!
DeleteI love lurpack unsalted butter too. Sadly we can't get it here.
Hugs Saba xxxxx
Hi Hazel and Saba - Saba! when did you pop up? I just like Lurpak, any way it comes!!! Have a great day with the family, and have forty winks before they come.
DeleteThe girls don't always sleep through at home - especially Zoe, but they sleep like logs here - of course I always hit them with the rubber mallet when they go to bed!!! xxxxx
And I don't like ANY butter, spreads or such like yuk!!! xxx
DeleteMaureen, don't go telling my secret, he often wonders why he has a sore bit on his head??? Only joking but I would love to know why he sleeps so well in a fold down bed ( not gold). Compared with being in his lovely posh bed. xxx
DeleteOurs just sleep and have to be wakened up! Do you think it's my fault? Xxx
DeleteMine are the same. Never stay in their own beds.
DeleteHi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
ReplyDeletePatricia's card is beautiful, the papers are gorgeous and I agree with Sandra that they remind you of the willow pattern plates that tell a story through the pictures. The flowers and bow are so pretty too.
I'm glad to hear that you are going to have a lazy day with just some baking. I can vouch for your scrummy brownies and I'm sure your Millionaires Shortbread will be just as good : ) Have a lovely day.
I have left comments on yesterday's posts for a change (thought I might not forget so many of you that way) I hope you all have a good day. We are hoping to have a lazy one as I am tired out after my day out with Gem yesterday. We had a lovely time, got a few little bits and pieces including a pack of coffee filters so maybe we can have a play at making flowers Sandra and Pat? Take care xx
SUE:- thank you for your kind comment. Glad the papers brought back memories xxx
DeleteSue, have fun with the coffee filters. I spray mine with colour mist, usually before I cut them out ( letting them dry first) and then spray them with water again before scrunching them up. That probably doesn't make any sense! It was a long journey home and my brain is not working properly yet.
DeleteXxxxx
Ah coffee filters, Sue. I've dried some tea bags to give it a go. How silly is that. Still, I've dried them so I may have a try this afternoon. Saba, I'll do them how you've explained, but I won't colour them as this is just a "try out". xxx
DeleteMuriel, sweet pea, you do realise I use paper coffee filters and not the little sachets of coffee don't you? Cannot for the life of me imagine how you are going to get a teabag to turn into a flower. Do take photos!!!
DeleteXxxxx
Stop it!! ...... SABA:- your back and it shows!!!
DeleteLove it though, have really missed you xxx
Maureen - bagsy the tea bag demonstration - I'll be riveted !! Xxx
DeleteHi Saba. Its good to have you back home safe and sound. Thanks for the reminder on how you make your gorgeous flowers. Your explanation makes sense to me : ) I wonder how Maureen got on with her teabags? She could well surprise us all as it seems that some people have the patience and skill to make a beauriful flower out of juat about anything. I hope after a good sleep you wake up refreshed. X
DeleteMaureen, please let us see the end results from your teabag try out. I bet you made some beauties x
DeleteGood morning Sandra and the Café Gang. I hope you are all wakening to another beautiful morning. The skies are cloudless again, yes!! it's been frosty but Hey! Ho! its, dry and bright. On the down side (for me anyway) is the trees are turning very quickly, also loosing their leaves. I love to see the beautiful colours but the Autumn brings us closer to winter which I am not so keen on.
ReplyDeleteWell folks it's my card today, I had to make Roses to put on it. The papers are from a 12x12 paper/card pack by Tilda called Country Escape. I have quite a few of Tilda Pads I love using these wonderful papers/card for various projects. The Roses were made using SB Blossom Five Die, the foliage is a Creallies Die from Joanna Sheen many, many years ago. Plus a few leaves using a SB Foliage Die. I don't think you get these Creallies Dies now, I never see them anyway. It is one of these very thin Dies where the cutting blade is hidden.
The key ring I bought when out on a day away. I bought a few, I liked the idea of having the names and little book with lots of "quotes" about the Name on the front.
Everything set up for the day, place looking really good as always. Do you think Sandra will drop off some of her goodies??? Will be back later to see, I like Millionaires Shortbread especially home made. Made some Tea & Toast and off to People Watch.
(((((hugs)))))) in the basket by the door. I am a bit worried about Sheila, I have e-mailed her and no reply. I just hope she is a away, enjoying herself with friends, and not I'll. Norah has been busy getting ready for yesterday's wedding. The wedding was good, looking forward to hearing how it all went.
Will be back later to see how you are all fairing today. xxx
Oh! dear I see a couple of BooBoos!! that should me "ill" when talking about Sheila. "weather" for the wedding .... will blame predictive Text!!
DeleteThat's ones I am seeing I am sure there are more xxx
Patricia, I have commented on your card below, but just want to say again, it is fabulous. Sorry you didn't get your tatties, how mean of the farmer to plough straight away,
DeleteHope Sheila replies soon.
Hugs Saba xxxx
SABA:- my thoughts exactly. Wait till I see that farmer during the week!!!
DeleteWe often get a bag of Tatties left on the doorstep. The funny thing is if he saw me he would say "what the heck are you doing that for, I will send round a bag" It is the thrill of picking up what would has been ploughed in. Like picking a cabbage or some carrots when out for a walk. xxx
PATRICIA your card is Stunning, gorgeous flowers & love the paper used. All in the beautiful pink.
DeleteSABA glad to see you back safe & sound.
Hug's Lynda xx
Patricia - you are chipping away at that poor man's profits! Ha ha! Xxx
DeletePatricia your card is stunning. Would love to see you making the flowers.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteHi Patricia, I understand just what you mean about picking the potatoes that would otherwise be ploughed back in, kind as the farmer is by leaving a bagful on your doorstep x
DeleteMorning/Afternoon to all who may pop in today
ReplyDeleteSandra - you are one very lucky lady to receive such a STUNNING bday card. Your more than deserve it though.
Patricia - what a STUNNER!!!!!!! So beautiful and your flowers WOW me each and every time I see them. I too am reminded of the 'Willow Pattern' and like many grew up with it on crockery. I think nearly every home had at least one piece.
I hope Norah had a really good wedding yesterday and that everything went off well. I'm sure that whatever the weather was like many happy memories were made and I'm looking forward to her report.
Sheila - Hoping it's just hat you're busy and not ill as you've not been in for a few days.
Saba - the same for you - are you nearly home yet?
I'm not sure what is happening here today. I think it's going to be a wait and see day. There are things to be done but all jobs rely on each other - you know like a chain - so it's a wait and see.
Have a good day everyone whatever you do.
Hugs are in their usual place.
xxxx
JANET:- thank you for your lovely comment. I love making flowers, making the card for Sandra was a pleasure xxx
DeleteHi Janet, yes we are back and it's nice to be home.
DeleteHow did Yvette get on?
Hugs Saba xxx
Afternoon Saba - pleased you're home safe and sound.
DeleteYvette has got to have a new rear axle. She is booked in for her operation on Wednesday of this week and we're hoping to be going to Marigny the following Wednesday. Jim is thinking that we're going to have to be on the look out for a replacement for her but this time it will have to be a used car. We bought Yvette new out of the showroom 11yrs ago so we cannot complain on her service can we. Will see what happens when we get back from Marigny.
Hugs to you xxxx
Yvette - I do hope you don't suffer too much pain - also hope you don't cause too much financial pain!!! Xxx
DeleteHi Sandra
ReplyDeleteI must say I can vouch for how how gorgeous Patricia's card is. I was absolutely stunned when Sandra showed it me the other week. Like Sandra I remember the willow pattern design from way back. Never knew the story though. I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday Sandra and are having a lazy one today. Congratulate the girls on winning yesterday. I said this yesterday but I'm not to sure if you saw my post under yours.
Petes still in bed as he had a very bad day yesterday. It was Romillys pre birthday dinner. Pete was given some stuffing which he ate of course. Now since his Bowel Cancer stuffing, onions etc upset his stomach. But being a man he still eats them. Well we went to Badbury Clumos for the afternoon and if course Pete was so bad. I'm not to sure how we got him back to the car, but between us we did. A shower and a change of clothes was needed. I really don't understand why he insists on eating these kind of foods when they make him Ill. He grows loads of onions as well.
Looking forward to hearing all about the wedding Norah. I also hope that Sheila and Saba are ok. A bit foggy today is Witney but I hope it clears up later. We were thinking of going to Hughendon Manor today, but we'll give that a miss.
PAT:- so sorry to hear about Pete ... men!! When will they learn??? I am sure you will hear "oh! I won't do that again". Look after him and I am sure you will get your day away soon.
DeleteThank you for the kind comment on my card. It was a pleasure to make it for a very special person. xxx
Good morning Sandra and all the lovely ladies
DeleteWhat a beautiful card you have revived form Patricia Sandra. I love the delicate papers you have used - yep willow pattern in our house too! I do have flower envy - I'm really looking forward to finding out how you make them First hand Patricia, they always look so real. Thank you for sharing ugh a beauty with us. X xxxx
I must pop into our pick your own place and see if they still have raspberries, what a fantastic crop this year. For a minute I thought you were putting the raspberries in the brownies mmmmmmmm I've made cherry ones in the past, they are yummy and the brownie of the moment here is oreo brownies which are quite scrummy. Our cake monster has left though - there's still cake left from last week! I shall have to remind Julian it's there! I do like millionaires shortbread too, must make that again soon.
Well hopefully it's a garden day today, Julian is still asleep but I'm just going to try the coffee technique to see if it brings him round! Pat I hope Pete isn't too bad today - what a shame his favourite food upsets him so much. I hope he feels more comfortable soon and you can rearrange your day out.xxxxx
Right see you all later, love and hugs to you all xxxxx
DIANE:- thank you for your kind words on my card. A few have asked for me to show how I make my flowers when we are at the Retreat. I have cut some out for those who do. Have have a good garden day xxx
DeletePAT, I am so sorry to hear Pete had a bad day, it must have been very upsetting for you both. I hope he feels brighter today, spoil him when he gets up.
DeleteLove and hugs Saba xxxx
Pat, poor Pete he was trying not to be making a big thing of being given stuffing. Made worse by the fact he use to love it so much., my friends husband is still finding out the hard way after his op for bowel cancer, not helped by my friend I have to say as she thinks he can still eat everything, then moans at him when he says anything. You will maybe have to put him right before he eats it. Hope he gets feeling better soon. xxx
DeleteHello Pat, I'm sorry that Pete has been so poorly, but it's a "man" thing to just eat it and then suffer - and make others suffer with him!!!
DeleteI hope you have a better day today. xxx
Afternoon Pat
DeleteI'm sorry Pete has had a horrible afternoon and night. Isn't it just like a man though they know what they can't eat; what upsets their system especially when they've had an illness etc but yet they still insist on doing the things that upsets their systems and of course you suffer with them too. I know I have one such man here who is just as bad. Hope Pete is better this afternoon.
xxxx
Sorry Pete is suffering! I do hope he feels a bit better now. Xxx
DeleteHi Ladies
DeleteThanks for your kind words. As you say must be a man thing. Trouble is it means all his underwear and trousers need changing. To much information I know. Must be more than the stuffing as he's still quite poorly. It seems very odd as apart from his Cancers he's always as fit as a fiddle.
Hi Pat. Sorry Pete has not been so good these last couple of days. Hope he will feel better soon. I like Hughenden Manor. I pass it every time I go to see my son and his family. The church is very nice also.
DeleteHi Pat, sorry to hear that Pete isn't so good at the moment. Maybe it wasn't just the stuffing but a tummy bug too. I hope he feels better soon x
DeleteGood? morning Sandra,
ReplyDeleteQuestion mark after the good is because I have woken up to fog! Was not expecting that, I can see down the garden to the line of oak trees the nothing. So we will have a wait and see day too.
Mum and Dad coming shortly, an early shower then quick whip round with the vacuum and I shall be ready for lunch.
Wow! Patricia, what a stunner of a card and how lucky of Sandra to receive it. Everything about it just screams of gorjussness. And the little booklet keyring is delightful.
I think the Willow Pattern story goes along the lines of .... the Emperor or some bigwig's daughter fell in love with the wrong man and her father forbade them to marry. The 2 figures on the bridge is them running away to escape her dad's clutches. And if I have the right story, I believe they were transformed by magic into the 2 love birds so they would be together forever.
((((HUGS))) to poor Pete. I can understand the suffering he goes through.
I am the same with bread/potato/pasta products, they upset my IBS and I end up with the most horrendous acid reflux. Yet I still eat it if offered, can't escape it if sandwiches. I have found though that by changing to Warburton's slims, I do not get the same effects.
Must dash away now, Mum & Dad's "we'll come early" usually means about 9.30!
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
CHERYL:- have a great day with Mum & Dad.
DeleteThank you for your kind words on my card xx
Cheryl enjoy your day with mum and dad. I have read the recent comments and can only reiterate what everyone else said, well done for being so brave and conquering your fears. You might be a work in progress but from where I am standing you are already a masterpiece.
DeleteHugs Saba xxxx
Hi Cheryl, have a lovely day today, I hope your lunch goes well, and as usual you have hit the nail on the head with the story of the Willow Plate Pattern. xxxx
DeleteCheryl, have a lovely day with your mum and dad !
Deletehugs Maria xx
I totally agree with your story Cheryl ! I too have this China , but in blue and white. It is displayed in my dresser in the kitchen and belonged to my great grandmother!! It's oooolllllddd! Xxx
DeleteHi Cheryl
DeleteI've passed on your hugs to Pete. Petes still very poorly at the moment. Apart from his cancers he's never sick at all. Must be more than the stuffing upsetting his stomach. But he's eaten nothing different to What anyone else did yesterday.
Hope you had a great day Cheryl.
DeleteGood Morning Sandra and All, you're baking sounds wonderful, although I'm not sure what millionaires shortbread is, sounds yummy.
ReplyDeletePatricia your card is really a WOW card, your flowers are beautiful, when I try these I seem to get glue everywhere, do you use a glue gun?
Hoping to go Trelissick Gardens today(lovely N/T gardens) although it is clouding over already, rain not supposed to be here until tonight.
Hope everyone has a good day,and those who are not feeling well will soon be on the mend.
LILIAN:- have a wonderful day out and the weather stays good.
DeleteThank you for the kind words on my card. I use Cosmic Shimmer Glue for all my flower making. Yes! you do get it on yours hands but it's all worth it. xxx
Lilian, hope the rain holds off and you get to visit the gardens.
DeleteHugs Saba xxxx
Hi Lilian, I hope you enjoy the Gardens if you get there. Millionaire's Shortbread is - a layer of shortbread on the bottom, then a layer of caramel, and on top a layer of chocolate, cut into rectangles about 2" x 1", or bigger if you like. I couldn't eat a lot -- only a dozen or so at a sitting!!!! xxx
DeleteThanks for info on the shortbread, I'd better not make them,on strick orders from GP to loose weight, but I can imagine how lovely they would be,I have a sweet tooth.
DeleteLilian, have a nice day out. Hope the weather is staying dry and enjoy the gardens. hugs Maria xx
DeleteLilian - hope your day is as nice as ours - it's beautiful here today. Enjoy your day out! Xxx
DeleteHope you had a great day out Lillian.
DeleteLillian, Patricia's flowers are gorgeouse, and I would love to make them , but I HATE messy hands and the glue drives me mad, I am more at the sink washing my hands than making a flower, thankfully she will make me some if I ask. Have a lovely day out. xxx
ReplyDeleteHellooooo, one and all
ReplyDeleteWe are back. I haven't been able to get in for a couple of days because we have had no internet whatsoever.
We left our lovely LivslĂĄng on Friday morning and decided to travel through Croatia and Slovenia using the country roads instead of the motorways. We saw some wonderful sights, most impressive were the waterfalls at a place called Slunj in Croatia. It meant we didn't arrive at our hotel in Austria until quite late and to our surprise the bar/restaurant were closed and so after checking in we set off for another one nearby and had a lovely meal. Back at the Hotel there was no internet in the bedroom and my Croatian SIM card wouldn't work.
Yesterday we travelled again through the Austrian countryside, through mountain passes and saw some spectacular views. We arrived home late last evening and after a quick shower (blissful) fell into bed.
Today we are going to the MIL for lunch. I would so like to stay at home but hey ho it has to be done.
Today's card is stunning, I can understand you having a wow moment Sandra when you opened this. Those tilda papers are so pretty and the flowers, well Patricia your flowers are always fabulous, lucky Hazel getting you to make them for her. I think Paul did a good job placing the key ring very artfully behind the ribbon!
Right must dash, I still have a couple of emails to write, two thank you ones for beautiful cards which were at home waiting for me, I had wow moments with both of them.
Oh before I forget, Patricia, thank you for sending me the list. It must have taken you hours to do.
Love and hugs to you all, normal service will resume this evening!
Saba xxxxxxxxxxx
Hello my friend, how lovely to know you are back safe and sound after an eventful holiday! Take it easy, give MIL a big kiss!!! and see you later. xxx
DeleteSABA:- great to have you back. Your trip on the high seas seemed a bit "hair raising" however the journey home sounds wonderful.
DeleteThank you for your kind words on my card. xxx
Hi Saba, good to have you back in Germany but isn't the roads wonderful and some fabulous views in Austria. Hope you have a nice time with MIL and can relax this evening back home. hugs Maria xx
DeleteHelloooo again! Enjoy your day with MIL ! Relax tomorrow - well after you've dealt with all the washing! Xxxx
DeleteSo glad you are back SABA.
DeleteMorning Sandra and ladies, I kind of thought that your birthday card today was from Patricia Sandra, I think the flowers gave it away. I love the willow pattern paper so delicate.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone who is going somewhere nice today , have a lovely day, me I'm still painting, but it will be finished today, oh yes it will!!!
Pat I hope Pete is feeling a lot better today, when will they learn!
Norah hope the wedding was a lovely day and you were not tired out, can't wait to see Rory in his kilt.
Off to paint, will pop back later, take care xxx
Jess dear, I am so disappointed in you, encouraging the blog ladies to work. It's made me look at my kitchen - oh dear, George is going to be busy ha ha. xxx
DeleteHi been waiting for my O/H to paint my kitchen maybe if I make a start he might take the hint, don't think I'd be any good at as l am rather messy with my paints crafting.
DeleteJESS;- thank you, your a very kind lady.
DeleteNow!! this painting lark is making me look twice at my Lounge .... Oh! Heck! it's fine, it will do another year.
I am off to make some cards!! xxx
Jess, hope your painting goes well. I now want the whole house repainted/ freshen up but here we call in 'Ron' friend and painter/ decorator for over twenty years. I like a new kitchen too, new cooker and, and hihi better stop Careful up the ladder, hugs Maria xx
DeleteJess - I hope you get it all finished today! Just look at the mayhem you have caused! Xxxx
DeleteMaria, wish I had painter friend, OH is called Ronnie or Ron for short
DeleteSabs, I begin to wonder about that to? Calum has always been good and stayed in his bed but this one he has been like that all his 7'years! ,Tammy can put him back 4 or 5 times and he doesn't always know he been in their bed. I don't know if when he sleeps here he sleeps in our room on the gold down bed, he doesn't like being downstairs on his own.,, so is it because he knows we are there that makes him sleep. They keep telling Tammy routine, routine, makes no difference. He goes away to bus bed ok sleeps till the house goes quiet then that's him. They have even left the radio on doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteOh I feel for you having yo go out, a day of just catching up on washing and relaxing would have been nicer. Me I was silly and have invite Derek and Calum to have brunch before picking Tammy up. Then having Gillian, Andrew and my sisters two for tea. But roast dinner at least is easy. Xxx
Hazel, Rachel would be up anything up to 7 or 8 times a night. Nothing worked and she still wakes up a lot now. I found out when she was in her 30's that it was because she was frightened in our old house, she always felt that "something" was there!! xx
DeleteWell Sis, first I knew that you had "gold" beds ... how posh are you guys?? xxx
DeletePatricia didn't you know that, I didn't but iPad seems to think we do. In fact I have just about lost it with the I pad? Why won't it let you spell words correct, you change it and low and behold it changes it back to what it wants. Even Calum was telling me that today.
DeleteMichele, I see your home, yes those woollies are needed in the morning.
Maureen, children sence things we don't. Our Christopher hated when we lived in the lodge in South germany and would run up the stairs as he said it was like he was being watched. I felt there was a ghost, but not unfriendly more like making sure we looked after the lodge. But we can't work out why Andrew doesn't like his room, calum slept in there when he was little with no trouble. xxx
Gold beds! I've only got a ring! Xxx
DeleteMorning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-your card off Patricia is truly amazing, it's a work of art.
We got home about 9.30am, made a cuppa and started the "unpacking of the suitcases "! Virtually all sorted now, think I need to swap my summer clothes for my winter woollies though. I think we'll walk down to the co-op in the village later to buy milk & veg which might help up stay awake.
Michele
MICHELE:- welcome home, great to have you back.
DeleteOnce you have your afternoon snooze to catch up you will be fine.
Then bed at normal time tonight .... I do hope your not working tomorrow.
Thank you for kind words on my card xxx
Afternoon Michele - so nice to have you back where you belong. Hope you're feeling better too. Isn't it horrible that you look forward so much to such a wonderful holiday and then fall itll when you get there. Anyway I too hope you're not working tomorrow and that you can at least have a day of rest before having to face the normal grind.
Deletexxxx
Welcome home Michele - at least the sun is shining for you! That is if you manage to stay awake and see it! Xxx
DeleteGlad to see you back MICHELE. Hope you are feeling better now.
DeleteHi Michele
DeleteWelcome home. I hope you are feeling better now and have one day at home before facing work. I bet your bed was so welcome : ) x
Hello Michele, glad you are back safe and sound. How are you feeling now. I bet after you get over your jet lag you'll be as fit as a lop. Take it easy, you can do more when you are not bone tired. (I know, we are all the same, have to sort everything straight away). xxx
ReplyDeleteCor, I finally made it to the bottom.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely, all the wanderers on foreign shores are back with us, well Saba lives in Germany but we'll forgive her that because we know she's a Yorkshire gal though and through.
Oh he's shouting, got to go, will be back in a couple of hours.
Patricia, it's stunning but will speak further later.
Muriel xxx
Hi Ladies,
ReplyDeleteCuriosity was killing me so I have found the story Nana used to tell us...............
Two birds flying high,
A Chinese vessel, sailing by.
A bridge with three men, sometimes four,
A willow tree, hanging o'er.
A Chinese temple, there it stands,
Built upon the river sands.
An apple tree, with apples on,
A crooked fence to end my song.
SANDRA:- that's a new one on me. It's absolutely amazing what you learn on here.
DeleteI have heard CHERYL'S story about the lovers. xxx
Never heard that before Sandra, like Patricia I have heard about the lovers, both are lovely stories x
DeleteNever heard that one SANDRA only the one CHERYL said.xx
DeleteSandra, thank you for telling us. It has been bugging me too. The different patterns all tell different stories I believe xx
DeleteHi Sandra and everyone in today.
ReplyDeleteWow I can see why you just love this card from our Patricia ,it is wonderful and her flowers are a master piece in itself. Love the papers too. Think I got a cross stitch with a similar pattern somewhere. I one too who would like to make some flowers Patricia so if you just say what I need to bring. I heard about making flowers of coffee filters but never of tea bags before.
Hazel- have a nice day anyhow and try to take it easy even with all the family around. Sue as well, hope you had a good day yesterday but can have a rest today. Hoping Norah had a great time and looking forward to see her Rory in the kilt. You are free then to join us end of October Norah.
Did have a good sleep-in . Got up when the sun shone in the face and we went for a walk over to Dobbie's garden centre. All the Christmas things out and some lovely smells around. Had some brunch before going back. Phoned my mum (8 minutes), they are having friends round so she couldn't talk long. At least she liked the card I sent but they getting so many, not sure what to do with them all ??
Janice and Sheila, hope you are alright
Karen- a meet up soon ?
Pat- hope Pete will feel better soon and learn but hard when you like certain things . hugs to you and to anyone in the cafe' today, Maria xxx
Maria, I don't know if I can make flowers with tea bags. I remembered someone on the blog (I think it was Saba) talking about making flowers but in my mind it was tea bags - and of course it was coffee filters!!! Well, I'll have a go with the tea bags and let you know what happens ha ha. The sun has just come out here xxxx
DeleteI think it was my be a lightbulb moment - the sun was a bonus!!! Xxx
DeleteMARIA:- thank you for those kind words on my card and Flowers.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good day xxx
Hello, I'm back, we've been to get my brother in law's mail to sort out what has to be sent to them In France, so that's taken a good couple of hours.
ReplyDeletePatricia, your card is stunning. The flower is stunning. The paper is stunning. In fact I'm totally stunned!!!! You know, I think you are a Master of the flower making, so will look forward to a few lessons please at the Retreat. What will I have to bring? It will be great to learn different things. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, having a good natter, and learning new techniques. Bring it on. Sandra, your juicer sounds fantastic.
I've never heard that song about the Willow Pattern before, I've only heard the story that Cheryl said about the star crossed lovers.
Well, I'm away to do my ironing and now that the sun has finally emerged, to hang some more washing out.
See you all later.
Muriel xxx
MAUREEN:- welcome back after doing your good deed for the day.
DeleteGlad my flowers Stunn you!! Hope you did not loose your balance though. I love what you have said about them,I appreciate it. I have yours all cut out ready to work on at the Retreat. A few have said they don't want structured Classes. I will do "ONE" class for flowers that all will be welcome to.
That's my washing in and all ironed. Better go see what I can rustle up for the dinner now. xxx
I would like to do flowers too, please, Auntie Patricia! I will be very good and even get up early!!! Xxxx
DeleteMYRA:- your are cut and ready as well ... you know what they say??
Delete"No show without punch" Ooopps!! I better duck or I will be getting a "punch". xxx
Never! - you're safe! Judy!! Xxx
DeletePatricia, please can I come too, I promise to be as good as Myra and I'll even stay up all night so I don't have to get up early!
DeleteGood afternoon Everyone
ReplyDeleteThis is my third attempt to leave a note!!!
I have been concerned about Sheila and sent her an email but did not receive a reply which is not at all like her, but at last I have, she has not been too good but is now feeling a little better and sends her love to everyone and will be back soon she hopes.
Patricia your card is absolutely stunning and so very elegant and beautiful, your skill and talent really shines through with your beautiful flowers, as Sandra has said it really does have the WOW factor and no mistake.
We had a super evening with our grandson he made a Christmas cake but was not up to see it come out of the oven at 11pm I'm pleased to say! Just like Hazel's grandson he always has a good night's sleep when he stays with us. His mum and dad enjoyed the wedding although SIL had nothing to eat as it was a buffet and he doesn't like them, but our daughter really enjoyed it as it was a hot buffet. Usually around here an evening wedding buffet is a cold one.
I must say I did not realise Hazel was so very posh having a GOLD bed!
I have heard Cheryl's version of the willow tree story but have never heard Sandra's version, it is funny how in different parts of the country stories can differ.
Pat sorry to hear that Pete is none too well bless him I can fully understand him being tempted with the stuffing I too love it, I always have a stuffing sandwich on Christmas eve!
So pleased our two holiday makers Michele and Saba have returned home safe and sound from their very different holidays.
Now everyone is home I suppose the drink will be flowing in the café tonight!!
Whatever you are all doing today I hope you are enjoying yourselves today.
Margaret xxx
Hi Margaret.
DeleteI hope he gets better soon as well. Apart from his Cancers he's never Ill. I've just sat down after cooking, washing, and pegging it out. I've also washed and dried up and watered all Petes veggies. Just need to dry the bed and bedding off and remake the bed. I hope he's not Ill for long. Must be more than the stuffing for him to feel this poorly.
MARGARET:- I have a really "posh" sister do I not?? Gold Beds, she never told me about them.
DeleteThank you for your lovely comments on my card.
I had an answer from Sheila. She's been a bit down since Thursday when she forgot to take her Medication. Hopefully she'll be back joining us soon.
I had a wonderful smell pass me by last night .... think it might have been your Christmas Cake coming out of the oven!!
Have a great evening xxx
PAT:- I hope Pete has a better night tonight. It is not good when they get these setbacks. xxx
DeleteHi Margaret. Thank you for letting us know about Sheila. Sorry to hear that she hasn't been feeling well but hopefully she will be back to usual very soon x
DeletePatricia sorry you did not get your free potatoes better luck next year! Did you not think of offering the tractor driver a cuppa and slice of your lemon cake then you could have nipped in quick and picked some? I find a cuppa to a workman works wonders if you want them to do something extra. xxx
ReplyDeleteMARGARET:- it's so funny to be honest. We often get a bag of potatoes left on our doorstep by our Farmer neighbour. If he saw me in the field looking for the ones left after lifting he would be asking "why". It's just the thrill of getting them before they ploughed them in. Like getting a cabbage, beetroot or carrots when out for a walk. xxx
DeletePatricia, you do realise you have all the classic signs of kleptomania don't you.
DeleteXxxx
SABA:- is that what it's called. It certainly tastes good no matter which way I cook them!! xxx
DeleteI have to say our freebie potatoes were lovely roasted tonight, by the way plates were cleared, dog would starve if he was fed on the scraps from the table, the two young ones went home well fed, and when offered to come next week again big smiles and big Yes Please!!! It's so lovely to see them enjoy their food, big Andrew has booked in for next Sunday too. You would think Gillian didn't feed him. Again I enjoying cooking when it's all eaten. xxx
DeleteAaaahhh!! that's another post gone to join the ones in cyber Space. There can't be much room left up there by now!! xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia
DeleteMust be a mystery as to why our posts keep disappearing. Also why predictive texts keep changing outer words. I'm looking forward to seeing how your wonderful flowers are made.
Painters back, I have done my bit, the rest is up to OH, he does the doors and surrounds he is so much better at painting then me, I either put too much on or not enough. It is quite cold in here as all the windows were open, need to go now and close them and put the heating on.
ReplyDeleteI watched a bit of John on Hochanda and loved all the things he did, he is quite talented.
Just remembered to ask you all, have some of you stopped commenting on Sues blog, I haven't seen your names there for two or three days, I have decided that I am only going to read the comments from our regulars, and have missed a lot of you on there recently.
All for now, should be able to pop back later, till then take care xxx
Jess I have trouble getting her card up till late in the day, I even have gone into on the day before to get it up, it's a pain. Plus I lost a couple because the stupid robot thing. But I do like seeing what she does. xxx
DeleteJESS:- you are a great worker, could do with you here giving me a push!!!
DeleteI watched John as well, I just love the wonderful Hints & Tips he gives. I feel he is "teaching" as he goes along. Rather than just promoting the items for sale on the shows. I was a bit unsure about him at the very beginning when he first started working with Sue. My goodness Sue has got a brilliant partner there. xxx
I agree! I haven't seen today's shows or show but John has some very good tips! Xxx
DeleteManaged to see today's shows but missed some of them yesterday as Freeview wasn't working. Good show today and a bonus it was two hours,
DeleteGlad Sheila is ok even if she isn't feeling too well at the moment.
DeleteJess,I usually running late sometimes even a few day's but I try to get in at some time. I like John and have seen most of his shows, he is quite slow in showing things and that suit me fine as I'm a slow learner tihi hint, hint xx
DeleteI don't get my Bloglovin email link until quite late in the day now, it always used to come 'first post after 6am. xx
DeleteThat's the same with me Cheryl, so of course it then late in the day. I liked when I went in first thing. Hope you had a lovely day with your mum and dad. xxx
DeleteThank you Margaret for letting us know Sheila is ok, even if she has been ill, which is not good, we all do worry about her being on her own. I bet her chest has got worse, I know she did say the other day it wasn't cleared up. This is where I wish we didn't all live so far apart. Glad your grandson enjoy making his Christmas cake. Andrew did well with his one. He just likes plain chocolate sponge no extras. xxx
ReplyDeleteRight folks, some time ago there were comments about some not wanting "structured classes" at the Retreat. I was going to do a class then thought I would not bother. It's a lot of work cutting and making up kits if they are not used. I have cut out for the ones that have asked me recently. I will go make up enough for everyone as I think there have been change of minds. xxx
ReplyDeleteWell Hello!
ReplyDeleteI've finally reached the end! I've be commented now and again all the way down !! Got no roast beef left here , no trifle either !! Everyone still here but watching the football although that is depressing !!
We have played cricket too for probably the last time this summer! It's hard to bowl well with leaves on the wicket!
PATRICIA - your card is really lovely! I guessed it was yours. Love the papers, colours , flowers and that pretty bow! The keyring is a good idea which I may copy! You are a clever girl!
Good to have all the travellers home again!
I'll be in touch Michele! You have been warned! Ha ha.
So looking forward to the Retreat now! It's getting sooo close!
I've booked a facelift for the week before!!!
Will call back when everyone has gone home!
Love Myra xxx
MYRA:- thank you for your kind words on my card. When I saw the Keyring, some the little Quotes inside I thought were just Sandra so just had to buy it.
DeleteOh! My! Word! know the feeling of the "leaves on the wicket". John and Robert complained about that last week when they went to the Village Park to play. xxx
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteWow, wow and another wow, Patricia the card you made for Sandra is really stunning , your flowers are just perfect and match beautifully with the backing paper. I have looked at your tutorial for making the roses, I really must give them a go. If I could make them half as good as the ones you make I would be more than happy. You really seem to have a good eye for picking backing papers that compliment your flowers. Sandra thank you for sharing Patricia is beautiful creation. LOL
PAT, so sorry to read about Petes problem, Sometimes life doesn't seem fair does it, when we eat certain foods that we really enjoy, but then have to pay the consequences for eating them. I hope the symptoms don't go on much longer. Poor you, you must be worn out, all that washing and clearing up. Take care, and be sure you get some rest as well. Sending gentle ((((hugs)))) for both of you.
Welcome home SABA and MICHELE great to have you back
SHEILA sorry you have not been feeling to good, sending gentle (((Hugs))) LOL
Well I'm going to sit and have a cup of tea, I'll sit by the window I think, now I'd like a piece of cake, oh dear choices - what shall I choose !!!!'
Sending love and hugs to everyone, Brenda XXX
BRENDA:- thank you for the Wow's on my card. I usually make the flowers from the papers I use on the main card.
DeleteThink I might join you in a cup of tea ... did Sandra leave any of the Millionaire's Shortbread ??? I would have one of them xxx
Yoooooooooo hoooooooooooo Brenda OB and Patricia, I can see you sitting there, so I'm coming to join you. NO, don't run away, I'll be good - well I'll try any way!!!
ReplyDeleteThere's no way I'd invite Hazel to my house. GOLD BEDS. You have got to be joking. We lie on the bare floor boards with a very thin blanket over us!!!
Margaret C, thank you for the update on Sheila. I wish her well and send love and hugs.
Patricia, I'm up for anything anyone wants to show me. Now should I rephrase that - someone (Myra) is bound to come up with a cheeky retort.
I tell you what, my mouse has stopped working for some reason and it's such a nuisance as it takes forever to scroll up and down. It's a remote one and I've changed the battery twice but it's still just blinking. It's just a blinking mouse ha ha. I think I'll threaten it with the rubbish bag, and see what happens. No, I've threatened it but it's had no effect. I may have to invest in a new one when I'm next in town.
Going to make George a cup of tea, I know, it's not often I do it but I'm really getting fed up with all the cracked crockery!!!
Muriel xxxx
MAUREEN:- your Posh as well .... thin banket we have a Newspaper. Not one we bought, one we found!!! xxx
DeleteHa ha so I'm not the only one who threatens inanimate objects. I have been known to threaten a tomato plant with boiling water if it didn't produce any tomatoes soon. Funny thing though, I think it was listening, I got a bumper crop!
DeleteAs for being up for anything on the retreat, shall I show you my chicken impression? It's rather good, Val and I often do it for our party piece but she's better at laying the egg than me.
Xxxx
SABA:- Cheryl might not want to watch that .... she's allergic to eggs.
DeleteI will want to see that though, I am always up for anything!!. xxx
I just threaten anything that annoys me. That's why John is staying out of me way this evening.
DeleteJohn is driving me nuts!! He is missing his boys, even worse, there is a problem on his Railway. It's an electrical fault, he knows where it is but can't reach it. He would have to crawl and of course he can't get on his knees. It will have to be a job John Jnr. he's away till Friday. Aaaahhhh!!! Help!! xxx
Good afternoon SANDRA & everyone
ReplyDeletePATRICIA wow your card is stunning love your flowers, wish mine looked lik yours I did check out your blog for the tutorial so will try them next time.the papers used very pretty.i did say this morning.
We went to a boot sale early this morning well what a wast of time that was. Then went home for breakfast. Did some ironing & then there was the bear & food festival on in Broadstairs so we took dogs with us for a walk we got the bus as it's a job to park the car with all the day trippers down, only Lots of tents with different food & drink but OH had to walk round on his own as couldn't take dogs round so I sat & did people watching there are some strange looking people in Broadstairs with weird cloths. We had fish & chips so didn't have to cook. Didn't get home till 6.15 pm
SANDRA hope your ok today & had a lovely restful day & hope all your baking turned out well it all smelt yummy. Now Terry is asking for cheese on toast im not eaven hungry . So will make him some.
Hug's Lynda xxxx
Oh Lynda I bet those fish and chips tasted good, especially if you had them in the fresh air, yummy I'll bet.
DeleteWe have the same problem with day trippers and parking in the Lake District. and boy do they go slow on the roads while driving. xxx
Hope the bear are the tame variety and didn't eat any people hihi
DeleteHave you read that Margaret P putting her grand children in her Christmas cake Lol Glad you had a nice day people watching with fish and chips for after, hugs Maria xx
Maybe it was a sort of Teddy Bear's Picnic , Maria! Xxx
DeleteI am going on a diet tomorrow, I was going to go on it today but have just rediscovered a box of scrummy Belgian chocolates which I received for my birthday. So that's me settled for the night, choccies and wine evening and some Strictly catch up.
ReplyDeleteXxxx
XXXX
SABA:- I went on a diet for a month and lost 3lbs, blooming big deal!! See this Thyroid thing it's a right bummer!!!
DeleteI was determined this morning, so far so good. xxx
Hate that word, lets call it Healthy Eating if must be . Life to short, enjoy your chocolates and wine <3 xx
DeleteGood evening everyone
ReplyDeleteWell Patricia I really think you are going to have your work cut out on the retreat teaching everyone if I were you I would get all these promises and vows to be good in writing!
Derek has a problem with his Railway too it must be the season for faults
Take no notice of Saba's name calling I know just what you are talking about and the thrill of finding some potatoes as a child I used to garden with my grandfather and got so excited when he took potatoes or any vegetables up wondering just how big they would be!
Pat do make sure you get some rest, I hope Pete has a better night and feels more bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Saba enjoy your chocies tonight, as tomorrow you will starve!
It seems quiet tonight but as the Strictly results are on I suppose everyone are watching.
Margaret xxx
MARGARET:- the old "sticks &stones" comes to mind...!!!
DeleteAs I told SABA:- they all taste really good what ever way I cook them!! xxx
Patricia, what I fail to understand about this blasted thyroid is, after years of having little or no function and being a size 8, suddenly on leva thyroxine which causes the metabolism to speed up why am I now putting on weight. It just doesn't add up!
DeleteNot happy at all, I am going to see the GP soon to discuss it all, but to be quite honest, I felt better before I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and started taking all these tablets.
Just watched the first strictly. I love Pascha.
Xxxxx
SABA:- I was a size 10 before all this started now I go between a 14 & 16 I get bloated very easily. Have tried to work out if it is food related but no concrete results. I only take one tablet every day, that's it but trying to keep a lid on the weight is almost impossible. Thank goodness I am tall or I certainly would not cope. At least my height does not make me look like a "butter ball" xxx
DeleteSABA, don't get Patricia started, she was like you a size 10/12 at the most I think and now it's a battle, but saying that she is here with us, I have the problem with weight because of these steriods, but there tonight my oldest daughter said mum, you are here with us and to us that's all that counts, we would rather have you here a bit over weight than not at all. She is right and to be honest I couldn't have stood and cooked what I have today if I wasnt on them as the pain would be too much. Xxx
ReplyDeleteHAZEL:- you are so right, we should be grateful we are here to tell the tale. Let's be thankful for small mercies!! xxx
DeleteAbsolutely Ladies!
DeleteI was a size 10 all my adult life until I hit 50! I'm now size 14 - yes I'd like to be smaller but I'm not going to make myself ill over it or make my life a misery on a daft diet when I feel well and pretty fit for my age. An awful lot for which to be thankful!
Maybe I'll get a corset for the Retreat! Ha ha! Xxx
Exactly Myra, our size is just a number hat or heads don't like? I am just so glad I am here. 2012 I didn't know if I would see Christmas that year. So what a bit of weight. xxx
DeleteMyra just remember rouges and cheats never beats, you are well just be grateful. The trouble with diets is once you stop dieting back comes the weight, so why bother, smaller portions on smaller plates is the best way I find. Oh and no eating duck even if it's served with orange! xxx
DeleteOh that should read size is a number that our heads do t like!
DeleteDefinitely no duck! Margaret! It would be like cannibalism!! Ha ha!
DeleteI agree smaller portions on plates best way to go! Xxx
Hazel, strange you say that about the steroids you making yo put weight on. I was always size 10-12, since takin my steroids I am now 14-16. My doctor says this is normal with those kind of meds. So no worries, I'm still here and I had already told Pete he would have to wait until I'm 100 before I join him Cos I want my telegram from whoever is on the throne at the time. Women in my family outlast the men!. My maternal grandmother died at 88 and my other one died aged 99. xxx
DeleteA sign in a local café hung over the cakes cabinet says, 'I went on a diet 2 weeks ago all I have lost are 14 days!' xxx
ReplyDeleteMARGARET:- Brilliant absolutely Brilliant my sentiment exactly xxx
DeleteLove it Margaret.
DeletePat S, we had Scottish oatmeal stuffing with our chicken tonight, and I thought of your Pete. As I know it would have been so hard for me to have had to sit there and not have any. He unfortately is suffering very badly from it. As I said I think you will need to let folk know what he can and can't eat. He is well to a point, but these little things just set him back. I can't drink pomegranate juice, Patricia can tell you howvIil I was from just having a large glass of it one year. Ok I wont drink it now, but it is lovely and refreshing,
Patricia, unfortunately I am not tall and am starting to look like the butter ball!!! It's the bloating more than the weight. Some days it's so bad I can't close my trousers. Hazel you are absolutely right, but sometimes I feel so upset by it all, especially when I look in the wardrobe and can't find a thing to wear which won't disguise the fact that at times I look like I am heavily pregnant. But and its a big but, I know I am extremely lucky health wise and I really am grateful for that. Moan over, I'll just have another chocolate!
DeleteXxxx
Oh SABA, I get days where I could cry, because nothing fits except my pull on Jersey trousers that I wear in the house, I have pairs of trousers in the wardrobe that I can't get into. I carry all my weight on my bust and round my middle don't have big legs so I have to buy for my middle and the legs are so wide so another problem. xxx
DeleteSaba I had a friend who had a similar problem and she used a loop of sheering elastic to hold the opening of her trousers on the days when she needed it. Loop the elastic through the button hole and then around the button it worked a treat. xxx
DeleteSABA:- I had in my mind that you were Tall. Don't know why but I saw you like myself. Actually, Hazel pointed out to me when I mentioned this to her ...... Patricia, "Saba will not be tall she only takes a size 3 shoe" xxx
DeleteSaba is smaller than me in every way! I'm only 5' 4" !! Xxx
Delete5 ft 1 inch. Midget really. I would LOVE to be tall. Peter is 6 foot and a bit. We are an odd couple in more ways than one.
DeleteXxx
MYRA:- I had you similar to Maureen in my mind, I am not far off with that. Maureen is probably about 5'3" slim and a pretty lady. xxx
DeleteSABA:- Oh! My! Word! I got that wrong then!! My friend Elaine is small, I always feel so tall beside her.
DeleteWell folks I think you will know "me" when I walk through the door at the Retreat!!! xxx
MARGARET:- when I was pregnant (one hundred years ago) I did not put on weight till a few weeks before John was born. That was my fastening for my ordinary close till I had to give in and make a couple of dresses. xxx
DeleteNow please ladies don't start worrying about height, Derek used to be 5ft 9in then a few years ago he was measured at the hospital and discovered he was 5ft 5in. Before his op in August he was measured again at the hospital he is now 5ft 3 and a half, Boy do I get into trouble if I forget that half inch! His spine is the problem apparently, if he gets annoying I say to him pull yourself up to your full height! He says if he gets any shorter he will be able to shelter under a mushroom when it rains. xxx
DeleteOh Lord give me strength. Please don't let me shrink when I get older.
DeleteXxxxx
John has a similar problem. Since he broke his back in a accident he has lost a couple of inches. His sentiments are the same as Derek!! xxx
DeleteSABA:- don't worry, you'll have two men to keep you company under the Mushroom!!! xxx
DeletePatricia, when I was pregnant I weighed 7 stone, and shot up to 12 stone. Had polyhydramnious ( theres a big Word for you). Then gave birth to Rachel at 9 and a half pounds. Ouch.xxx
DeleteI was lighter the day John was born than I was before I was pregnant.
DeleteJohn only weighed 7lbs 5oz. I can't remember what I weighed but it had been about 8st. xxx
Maureen, I can send my cats to you if you want,,they will help you with your 'mouse' and chase it along.
ReplyDeleteSaba enjoy you chocs, tomorrow is another day. xxx
If you don't want a cat Maureen I could lend you my little corgi Amy, she is very quick at chasing anything! xxx
DeleteOooooppppss!! I am running out of power ... well my iPad is anyway xxx
ReplyDeleteI am going to say goodnight before this iPad goes blank.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight God Bless see you all in the morning xxx
I am struggling to keep my eyes open so I shall say goodnight and God Bless xxx
ReplyDeleteOh looks like you have all gone to bed, I was tired this afternoon went for a little nap, and felt worse, now I have got a second wind. So it looks like I will be having another night of not sleeping properly. xxx
ReplyDeleteAaaarrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteDuck, there's a low flying post somewhere. Where do these posts go, do you think they are having a Retreat.
It looks like I've missed all the fun while I've been looking for a bag full of post that has arrived for my brother in law and his wife while they've been in France. I was sick of seeing it on the sideboard so I put it somewhere "safe". Say no more, I cannot find it for love or money. It's a good job that I've got another few weeks before they come home.
Saba, I've lost an inch, I am now 5'2". George was 6' 2-1/2" but he is now 6'1". Like you we are a bit like Little and Large. I went on a diet once and put on 6 lbs!!! That could only happen to me.
I will gladly accept any cat or dog you wish to send me, anything to sort this blinking mouse out. If it doesn't start to work tomorrow, I'll get a new one on Tuesday when I go to town to meet my friend Ann.
To those who have gone to bed, you won't see this but I'll still wish you a good night's sleep, sweet dreams and God Bless.
To those who are still up - don't make too much noise and wake the others up.
Sandra, I hope you don't have any nightmares tonight.
Right, I'm up early tomorrow so I'll say goodnight, sweet dreams, God Bless and will look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Love and hugs
Muriel xxxx Now where did I put that blanket, oh yes it's rolled up in the corner of the garret !!!!!
Good night God bless Muriel. Hope the floorboards don't creak. Try taking your mouse to bits, sometimes bits of fluff get trapped in the ball thingy. Failing that send it to an animal experimental lab. That'll teach it a lesson.
ReplyDeleteXxx
Right, looks like you have all caved in and gone to bed so I might just do the same. Myra, you've been a bit quiet tonight! Good night and God bless each and every one of you. I'm stuck with Peter again tomorrow! He has taken an extra days holiday. Looking forward to him going back to work. Don't know how you all cope with them at home all week!!!
ReplyDeleteXxxxxx
Just sent you a message Saba xx
DeleteEvening all, well anyone left up(writing this in bed)
ReplyDeleteWe managed to go out to the N/ T gardens, but it was very cold and windy, went for a short walk then a lovely roast lunch in the restaurant.
Must say a complete change in the weather, the sea looked very grey and cold, not the lovely blue of summer.
Loads of people about as it was Apple Day.
Good night all,sweet dreams.
Good night everyone. God bless. Looks as if all the night owls have gone to bed as well.
ReplyDelete
