Paul's Anniversary Card

Good Morning Ladies,
Well shock, horror, gasp......its one of my cards!!!!
I thought I would show you the card that I made for Paul for our anniversary.
It ended up being a little bit of a rush, but I certainly wasn't going to let Paul go away without his card.
I used an Anna Marie Designs Stamp for the focal element of the card, I love the words on that stamp.
I mounted it onto Blue Foundation Card, I then matted and layered the background with some red and the same blue card and the topped it with a piece of coconut white card, embossed with the A4 Swirling Hearts Embossing folder by Creative Expressions.
I then created a ribbon strip using red card and a Martha Stewart Punch, I layered it with some narrow matching blue ribbon and glued it to the right side of the card, I then added mounting foam to the back of the topper and placed it on top, I felt it needed something else, but I find it harder to 'embellish' mens cards, so I went with the heart theme, I die cut some different sized hearts, glueing two together with a strand of ribbon glued in the middle, repeated it three times and them glued it onto the card and topped with another die cut heart, i popped some red gems on for a bit of sparkle!
Paul seemed very pleased with his card, I hope you like it too.
We had a lovely dinner out last night after all the drama!
I will call in later to catch up with you all.
love and hugs
Sandra

  1. Morning all, hope you are all TicketyBoo and looking forward to the day ahead.
SANDRA:- I just absolutely love your wonderful card. I am sure Paul was over the moon with that one. You really do make fantastic cards and I feel we do not see enough of them.
Hazel and I are off out for the day to Feythie, there is an amazing market there. We really do not need anything but feel with it being so hot we have not done all the things we would have liked. We are "biting the bullet" and stepping out into the heat. It's a bit of a drive away but the bus will hopefully be Airconditioned!! or at least all the windows open!!!
Everything looks good in the Cafe today, lots of goodies for during the day. From what we have heard about the weather looks like that pot of soup will be needed.
(((((Hugs))))) by the door as usual. Be back in the evening to see what you have all been up too. xxx

    2. Hi Patricia, hope you managed to get out to the market even in the hot sunshine. Plenty of drinks and shade when possible is what you all told me so, only wish I had some of the warmth now. Have a lovely time, hugs xxx

    3. Patricia, I remember Fethiye well, don't think I saw the market though, it was the marina and the bars for me!! Have fun.

  2. Good morning Sandra,

What a beautiful card for Paul, I will reiterate Patricia, we do not see enough of your gorgeous creations.
Can you tell me again where this new craft channel is?
Every time I press 621 on Sky all I get is CITV and (tongue in cheek) I don't want to buy any programmes from there.
Off for my early morning cuppa see you later

    1. Hi Cheryl
Try Channel 660, funny I thought it was 661 and found QVC and thought how funny that was because they claim it's nothing to do with them! There is another channel number on their web site but that's possibly free view? I did have a quick watch yesterday, I can't remember what was on, nothing that caught my fancy. It's nice to have a choice though - if there's something that doesn't take your fancy on one channel you can now look at the others. Hope you have a good day today, hopefully the weather will be better! Xxx

    2. Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for your lovely comment yesterday about how I describe Paul, I find it so hard to put into words how very much I love him, i consider myself incredibly blessed to have him in my life, we never tire of each other's company, from what I understand from things you have said you shared the same thing with your Pete, therefore I know you will understand what I mean when describe his love as ' a gift'.
Now I can only get the watch the new channel online, (I just typed in 'The Craft Channel' ) .
It was lovely to watch Christine in action yesterday, the presenter and what I understood from his description yesterday the founder of the channel Julian is a great presenter, seemed genuinely interested in the products, I know how very nervous Christine was not only because it was her first TV show in years but with the added pressure of being part of the launch of the Channel but she was a natural, informative but also funny with it.
Between these two new channels though I find that some of the shows are very loosely based on craft, I watched part of a show yesterday about beads that you add water too and put flowers in....a craft??? Not in my opinion! Maybe I have the wrong idea.
      Love and hugs

    3. In answer to my own question the channel number is 261 not 621 as advertised somewhere else. Hope this helps everybody else.xxx

    4. You're welcome Sandra,
I coined the phrase my 'soul's other keeper' for Pete many moons ago now when I was asked to describe him. The next question was "That is a lovely way to describe your soulmate but why that?' My answer "God will look after my soul in heaven and he sent me Pete to do that job for him on earth". I did post it on Sue's blog when I said he had passed on, so it is a very big compliment that you remembered it and have used it to describe Paul. Our love for our husbands is a very great blessing indeed.
Give yourself a hug from me. xxx

    5. Hi Cheryl, I got a bit confused too about the channels. When they kept showing children's programmes like 'my parents are alien' and other ones I know the channel couldn't be right Lol ! 261 and 660 are the channels I found it on. Sadly I think they are equal to Hochanda with poor sound and the camera shots are dreadful. Maybe It's just me. You have a nice day, hugs Xxx

    6. Hi Cheryl I never actually saw your post on Sue's blog about Pete, so it is purely coincidence, it is a saying that we gave both used to try and describe our love over the years,
I can say that I trued to explain love and how it feels to my girls, I just said that there are many times that you think you have been in love, but until you actually experience true love you won't know!
      They were very confused!
      Hugs

    7. Cheryl that is so beautiful, when I think of Peter I think of him as being my rock. When my Father died I explained to Peter just how bereft I felt and said of my Father that he was my rock, never judged me, loved me wholeheartedly and I could always turn to him and Peter said "now I shall be your rock " and he is.

  3. Morning Ladies

Sandra-the card you made for Paul is stunning. It's our anniversary while we're away & I have made a card but it's quite simple-I'll send you a photo after the event.

Hoping work is relatively calm today-not feeling up to any drama as I've been awake since 3.30 this morning. I've got a few last minute bits of shopping to do tonight then will just sit & read or maybe start to pack the cases??!!

    3. Lillian it's lovely to see you back. I'm so glad to hear you are now feeling better. I love Sues blog and try and read the comments if I can but by the time I get to the bottom I may have forgotten something or you just put a brief comment to someone. Isn't it funny how some names mean something to you, you were one of the ones I always read when you were poorly just to see how you were doing! I would love to see some of your sewing projects, I've got pictures of elegant ball gown or bridal dresses in my head but I expect I've gone for the wrong sewing items. I'm sure Sandra will tell you how to get in touch - a lot of us are techno phobes but I think we have all managed to send something. I've just realised the last photos I sent were upside down ( sorry Sandra) so I've taken some more photos to try again!
I love Cornwall we have been there on holiday a few times, we hires a cottage in Fowey when our daughter was little, such a beautiful part of the world. We live in hampshire so not too far to travel.

I would very much like to showcase your crafting skills, be it cards that you make or items you sewn together, both are welcome, we have a 'mixed craft day' every Saturday, all you have to do us email me photos of what you want to share, you can include a brief description or come back on the day and add your description then.
I have just returned from almost a month away, so still playing catch up!

    6. Good morning ladies,
Sandra , your card is very eye catching ! I'm sure Paul will treasure it , as you say the words in the AM stamp are heartfelt and that's what makes a really special card, love all the little hearts! So happy to hear you had a lovely dinner together after all the drama xo
Well, I had a busy tiring day, I got back from craft day 5:30 and was back out again 7:10 - 10:30 I was so tired, thought I'd have a wee look in my iPad and found a message from a niece about her sister who is only 39 and she was in hospital with a suspected mini stroke , turns out her speech has returned and the numbness down one side has gone now ( thank goodness ) but they are keeping her in to have an MRI , but it certainly was a shock , so took a while to get over to sleep.
Hello to Lilian , lovely to have a new name to join in the fun, the cafe is such a wonderful friendly place to pop into , the ladies ( I use the name loosely, only kidding) are a great bunch who love a laugh! and the fabulous cakes etc. are calorie free, what more could you ask for?
It's a miserable morning here and I don't feel like going to golf but I better go and make an effort but not before I have a nice big cup of tea and some toast with homemade marmalade.
Hazel and Patricia , please take care in all that heat, plenty of drinks and some nice cool shady spots with comfy chairs are needed frequently( to people watch) I hope you have a great day!
Michele have you got your bags packed yet? you must be quite excited about getting away and having a much needed break from work .

A very big welcome to you to our happy and friendly wee cafe where we come and everyone is more than welcome. Yes we are all screwballs in here but they are the finest friends that you ever have your good fortune to come across and meet. They lift you on the darkest days and join in on your daft days. We love all crafts in here and welcome seeing others skills and what they produce. It is the one cafe that you can have the largest cakes on the menu and not put on an ounce. And of course there are a few renegades that enjoy the odd tipple or barrel of baileys, wine, anything goes so please stay and have fun with us.

Well it's really tipling it down here this morning and it's my Knit and Natter day too. I've everything crossed that it may have slowed down somewhat before 13.30hrs when I need to go out. It's the first one since I got back so I'll be playing catch up on all that's happened this summer.

  6. Good morning Sandra and all the lovely ladies
Sandra what a treat for us today, your card for Paul is lovely. I know what you mean about embellishments for men cards, it's so easy to put a flower on but that stops you short for a man. I'm pleased to hear you managed to go out for a meal together. I hope Matt was ok after his drama yesterday too. Life has returned to normal quickly after your lovely holiday hasn't it, makes it all seem like months ago now. Still with Michele off to warmer weather soon we van all sneak into her suitcase - I'm sure she won't mind !( oh what a thought opening your case and finding us lot in there!!!!) .
I had a funny day yesterday, I did one lot of washing, put another lot on, cleared out the fridge of a few bits that had been overlooked in my mad dash to get Emma packed and off and bought some flowers out of the lounge that had gone crisp whilst we were away. I went to open the back door and no keys! I always give my neighbour a key when we go away and I'd given her my set, Julian had gone to work with his set and also had one of Emma's keys on his bunch! I realised I was stuck in the house! I could get out the front door but couldn't get back in again so if I popped round to my neighbour I was stuck unless I drove to Julian's work! Well I did have a chuckle. Luckily my neighbour dropped my keys back late afternoon when she came back from her day out so. Could leave the house and get the food shopping we desperately needed! I must get some new keys cut is the moral to my story, especially now there is just the two of us at home!
Right I must go and get on, I'm out for lunch with some friends today so I will call back later.
I hope the weather improves today - I've got washing to dry!
    Have fun xxxxx

    1. Oh Diane, that brought back memories! We were always having " key problems" before Alastair retired! He would go off with both sets - his and mine - front door key and car keys! He worked about 45mins away from home - if the M61 was behaving!! Someone would come to the front door and I'd be calling through the door for them to come round to the back door as I could open it! Couldn't go out in my car either! It was going out the back door round to the front door to collect the milk from the doorstep that used to get me! Xxx

  8. Good morning my little coffee shop cherubs,
Sandra, i don't think you could have made a more thoughtful card for Paul than you have as it has all the true components in it for him, it has your love, admiration and most of all just what he means to you and what he is to you. I know that the next few days are going to be difficult for you with him being away but he'll be back before too long. Hopefully the girls can help you get sorted as best they can and you let them, mmh?
Well the men have come and dumped off stuff to reskim and reharl the house with so that's me stuck for the day as his lordship has told me i can't go anywhere with them working outside....WHY???? Oh well just as well i don't go or can't go out much isn't it. We have a lovely day here at Glenochil the now so lets hope it continues.
Saba, i hope you had a lovely day yesterday for your birthday and enjoyed your cake. I hope that your hubby got you something lovely for your special day. Sorry that i am late in wishing you happy birthday but it was just one of those days yesterday that everything was happening and Rory's appointment with Rhuairdh at CAMHS had been changed from 3pm to 11am which threw a spanner in the works as well. When i came out to retrieve my coffee this man shouts out my maiden name. It was someone from school who i have seen in more than 30 odd years, that's what i said to him "i take it i haven't changed much". Naw Norah, you've no, you still look the same". Good god i hope not as i didn't have grey hair then and thought i was fat at 9st 3lb and a size 12. Although i didn't recognise him until he told me who he was, perhaps because none of the boys had stubble never mind beards and moustaches.
I think i will have a large latte this morning as the body could do with some heating up and toast today as i am trying to be good and stay out of the cabinet with the cakes in it but they are so good looking and just shouting out about eating them, but no i'm going to be strong and resist, for the moment anyway. Have a good day everyone and see you later hopefully, i have brought in my little huggles friends to assault each and every one of you
    Love

Thank you my lovely friends but I definitely look and feel the half century coming nearer and the face is positive that it's already has arrived but the brain hasn't moved forward from being 19, so I'll stay at that and just add the VAT on. hee hee OH boosted me no ends the other day by his little turn of phrase "hey your fairly putting on the beef the now as your face, stomach and legs are all fat". Thank you dear, that's lovely to know I thought before I walked out and went for coffee with my friend. They really know how to boost a girls morale don't they?
Myra, you and the rest of the lovely people that are in this special part of time really are my Angels. You all pick me up when I am having the worst day. You all take me out of these four walls to places all over the world in my imagination and dreams. I can say something in here that at home would be regarded as me being the most stupidest idiot that God almighty created, but in here it is taken in the context and happy way that it is meant, so you see you all really are the most wonderful bunch of Angels that set foot upon this earth for me.

    1. Hello Pam,
I watched yesterday - didn't see the whole show - but what I saw I liked very much. The new Platinum Machine looks really good and I like the fact that the sides fold away. Looking forward to meeting you. Xx

So pleased Sandra that you did manage to have your meal out in the end. I hope too that Matt is ok.
Your card is really lovely - lovely colours too for a Serviceman! I like that sentiment very much - and your little hearts are gorgeous. It's lovely to see a Sandra Card!!

My new dies have arrived from Sue, Double pierced rectangles and squares and they are WAY BIGGER than I expected, they are HUGE!!!!
    I am proper excited!
Now a bit of an upstate on Matt, he has a middle ear infection, hence the dizziness and nausea, I have had this and it's awful.
I was absolutely crying with laughter though as he came to me all animated, he said hey mum did you know that we actually have 3 ears! I looked at him a little puzzled, he then explained that he gad an ear infection but not in either of the ears on the side of his head, it's in the ear in the middle mum!
I just nodded, told him to lie down and then almost had a 'tena moment'
    Love and hugs

The card for Paul is just brilliant Sandra ! Love the little hearts and don't know the stamp but it's all look great. Glad you managed to go for the meal out and that Matt is ok. Big hug to you all x
Saba, is it typical for restaurants to be shut on the Monday ? glad you found one in the end but maybe not what you wanted so another meal out is required asap :-)
Nice to see more people have taken the step in to our cafe' and hopefully you won't be scared away by the fun and craziness that's happening from time to time. This blog have helped me a lot and to be able to one day to meet up is a huge bonus. So I for one hope you are staying.
Sandra, you asked the other day what we thought about Hochanda and the new craftchannel, when I at last found it, I can't see them making to good unless the sound and camera gets better.
The prices are a lot more then other you can get on line so I'm not watching it unless our crafting makers are on. Did miss all of Sue W shows and have tried to find it on catch-up but no luck but hope to see her next time. More washing and actually some shirts to iron, can't hear them either maybe to tired after the flight.
Is Sheila ok ? Michele, hope your day not to hard and you looking forward to the holiday.
I see you later , must move around a bit to keep warm, brrr

  14. Hi Sandra
Love the card you made for Paul. I'll have to read back to see what all the drama was about, unless it was Matts ear infection. I'm glad you had a lovely meal out yesterday for your Anniversary. Fancy ordering Sues new large dies, even I was flinching at the price. Well, can we behave ourselves, I think not. Maureen is threatening us as She'll be back, or is that a promise. She's obviously expecting floods as she's ushering animals into the Ark. I'm glad I'm not living near her. Well, I hope I don't.

  15. Good afternoon all,
I have been so disorganised today, don't seem to be getting anywhere fast.
Sandra what a lovely card you made for your sweet husband. I can see the love you have put into it. I agree with Patricia, it would be lovely to see more of your cards, they were always fabulous so put those noble squares to the test and show us what you come up with.
Well I managed to squeeze some cash out Peter last evening after we came home. I had thought my flowers were my present but when he got in from work he told me he was sorry, he had gone to a perfume shop in the city to buy me my favourite perfume ( I am still in shock that he even remembered it's name) but unfortunately it had just closed. So I just thought I could play on the fact he was intending to buy me something. He had called at the cash machine as we were going out and was just checking that it had given him the correct amount when I walked into the room and said how lovely is that for me? Well it was like Dickinsons real deal, he laid a 20 on the table. I just raised my eyebrows and looked at his wallet so he put it back and laid down a 50. I then gave him a sickly grin, eyebrows even further up and nodded very slightly towards the wallet again. With great hesitation and never taking his eyes from me he laid another 50 down. We eyeballed each other for a few seconds and I risked another little glance at his wallet at which time he laughed and told me not to push my luck. So I grabbed my cash and ran. I am a very happy bunny.
I am seriously considering buying a new cutting machine with it, the Platinum looks good but then so does the new Sizzix Big shot and it's cheaper.
    Bye for now

    1. What a minx you are! I wouldn't know which machine to buy either if I were you - The Sizzix looks really sturdy but would maybe take up too much space for me. At the moment my GC is on a Butler's Tray! It's an M&S one so folds up. The tray is upside don on the stand thus making it flat. A glass mat comes next then the GC - I can move it if required and it freed up desk space. It's also higher so a more comfortable height when standing.
      Decisions, decisions!! Xxx

    2. Oh heck! Don isn't upside !! It should be upside down!! I'm having a great day so far. Xxx

    3. Hi Saba,
I am going to go for the Sizzix Big shit A4 plus, it has fab reviews, Cheryl gas one and said it's great too. Sue and I watched a demo at Farnborough and challenged the lady, she cut a piece of really thick card 350 gsm plus and it was coated too, she used a really intricate lattice die popped it through the machine in the centre of the plates and it cut like a dream, I have just about lost my patience with the sPellbinder machines!

    4. Well Sandra, thank you for giving me its new name!! I hope that doesn't apply to its performance though!
But seriously I think you are right, I have always had Spellbinders. Started with the Wizard, killed that and bought another and then went on to the GC as it was one of the first with A4 size. I have been happy with it but it is definitely loosing it's pressure.

    5. Ooh SANDRA - you have renamed that machine!!! You have no idea how much better I feel! Ha ha! Xxx

    6. Oh oops Big Shot, is it's name, I have gone through 4 grand caliburs, all gave leaked oil and lost pressure, so damn frustrating, particularly when you email customer services and get told it's mainly uk that have problems as we abuse our machines, putting dies through that are too thick what absolute rubbish!
Sizzix (Ellisons) have been going years, this machine seems to have got it just right, the A4 embossing folder the lady embossed were so crisp we were shocked !
I just need to find the right price (and the money)!
I've got C&C on at the minute on tv and it's Mel with brother scan and cut, what a laid of waffle, you can tell paul is away and my brain is fuzzy as I found myself tempted!!!
Cheryl has one that she hasn't really used and she is bringing it to the retreat for us to play with!!

I'm late today, had a very early appointment to have my blood ( INR ) check this morning. Then John picked me up and we went to my friends she cuts and colour is my hair so that took us through till lunchtime. On the way home stopped to do a little shopping, came home and had our lunch, where has the day gone!!!
Sandra, I am so jealous of you getting your dies. I have been waiting for mine which were dispatched on Wednesday or Thursday last week. Guess what the postman tried to deliver while we were out ????? You got it - my squares and rectangles. They are now sitting in the post office in Streatham and we can't pick them up until tomorrow. I hope I will able to sleep tonight's, because I know I shall be getting excited.
Sandra, I love the card you have made for Paul, The message is spot on. I really love this one as I'm sure Paul does.
Hope Matt is feeling okay now. I had to smile about his third ear, like that one - well done Matt!
Well I better set to and do some work, before you know it it will be time for dinner.

Normally she has to ring the bell to get into the house but today I think the bin men must have left the door open. Anyway, there was a parcel on the steps from my best friend in the UK and inside was a handmake card, a pack of embossed card, a lovely embossing folder and the NOBLE CLASSIC ADORNED SQUARES!!!! I couldn't be any happier if I had won the lottery.

  20. SANDRA Your card for a Paul is lovely. I am sure he was pleased with it. Also pleased to hear you were able to go out for dinner last night.
Well if looks as if three people are happy today as their new Noble dies had arrived although sadly Brenda has to wait until tomorrow. Enjoy using them. I am very pleased with mine.
Went to a very large garden centre today near Bagshot. Called at a craft shop on the way and got some card that was needed for the craft group. I also wanted some glitter card to go behind the Three Wise Men mini Striplet. I got some just in case I didn't see any on Saturday. Wonder if they will have the new Spellbinders cutting machine. No they won't as think Christine said it is not available to buy yet only on the new craft channel. Think I will wait to see if it develops any faults first before thinking about it.
Michelle hope you have a good holiday. Nearly time for Patricia and Hazel to come back. Good to see Maria, Diane and not sure now if it is a Jean or Jess went to Greece. Whichever it's goid to see you back and Welcome to Pam. I do follow your blog. Hugs by the door if Norah's will let them in the basket.

  21. Helloooooooooooooooo
I started reading this blog at 17.50. It's now 18.42, you work out how long it's taken me to get this far!!!
I've had laughs, and I must confess a tear, reading all the posts, but I can remember a few.
I think the most memorable is SANDRA'S Big Shit, and the fact that she says Cheryl has gas!!! I exploded (get it) at that one!!!!
Reading Cheryl and Sandra's comments, and then Saba's Peter saying he would be her rock, really affected me. I didn't tell George though, give him a rock and he'd tie it around my neck!!!
Lilian, I don't know if you are aware that people go back and forth answering peoples posts, so you are literally scrolling up and down the blog more times than a flag on the flag pole (I can be discreet at times, ladies.)
Pam, it's nice to see you.
Myra - what is the matter with you today?? I think you need a tonic - or a drink, here you are dear, a nice pint of cold white wine!!!
Saba, I loved the tale of Peter, his wallet and the money. But it's no good just raising your eyebrows, you need to get a bit more adventurous than that ha ha. By the way, would you give your friend my address lol.
Brenda OB - I bet you're first in the queue at the Post Office in the morning!!!
Jess, I'm glad you've had a nice day, It's been pouring all day here but it's brightening up now.
Norah, lovely to read all about your lovely hills, and the family.
Ann and I had corns on our behinds by the time we left to go home, but we have sorted out all the troubles, including Jeremy Corbyn and the Refugee Crisis, so all is well!!! (If only it were that simple).
I'm away to my little room, and will pop in later.

  22. Evening Ladies

Goodness-what a busy day today has been. Have gathered a few items together but will just have to pack the suitcases tomorrow evening . We fly at 11am on Thursday so will have to leave home just after 7am so quite civilised.

I ordered Sues pierced square dies last Thursdat & have been panicking that they would be "delivered " or not as they won't fit through our silly letterbox-card arrived today so I can collect them on the way to work as I go past the parcel collection depot luckily! Pity I won't get chance to use them before we go away but heh ho!

Right-have set up the payments for both credit card bills so not much more to worry about!

  23. Hello hello hello,
I have been on the phone to my best friend for the last two hours. Bless her cottone socks, she took out her box of treasured things in which she keeps every card which I have ever made her just to make sure I didn't have that particular die and then bought it for me. We first met in the school of nursing in the year blob and have been best friends ever since. We have been through thick and thin together and when we were nursing together, well I can't tell you some of the escapades we got up to. She has had me locked in a supplies box on A&E for what seemed like hours on end, we both hid in the the mortuary fridge at work to scare the pathologist half to death, and once on night shift she scared me so much by setting up a skeleton in a shroud, put it on a wheeled stand and got it to move just when I entered the ward wherein I screamed and leapt into the arms of a senior night nurse and weed on her. Truly I did. I had to wear paper knickers for the rest of the shift! But I love her to bits.
oh happy days when it was fun to be a nurse.
Off to check out blood and gore Holby now. If Fletcher is dead I will not be happy!
    See you later

    1. Hi Saba,
I loved your stories and I believe every one of them. When I was a patient in the Sanatorium we lead the night nurses a merry dance. It was no holds barred, the bed pan was passed around all the beds until it was full to the brim, then put in the middle of the Nightingale Ward for one of the nurses to step into. (no polystyrene things then, all stainless steel and proper sluices.) We made up Apple Pie beds for the patients who were up all day, then when they tried to get into them, they couldn't get their feet right down!!! Filled the spittoons with green jelly! Oh we had great times. lol xxxxxx

  25. Good evening Sandra and anyone else who is popping in for a last minute coffee. I have been trying to do some crafting and popping on here from late this afternoon but have been sidetracked most of the time with visitors, grandson came round, then son and daughter in law, they have had a lot of photos printed off and have made up an album for our wedding party on Saturday night. My daughter in law took the main photos of the wedding but they have an official photographer for Saturday, well we ended up sorting through the photos and putting them in order, have made an anniversary card for an order, just need to do the insert.
Speaking of anniversary cards, I love the card you made for Paul, Sandra and it's lovely the way you describe him - so sweet.
I'm now going to go back and see what everyone is up to, can't seem to get into a routine,

  31. Hellooooooooooooooo
It is me, I finally have a few minutes to get on to my laptop! Sorry to everyone to have been missing I have just had a quick look to see what cards and crafts I have been missing, wow they just get better and more and more beautiful, well done everyone.
To Patricia, Maureen and Saba your birthdays came, your birthdays went, this is the message I should have sent, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!!!!!
To Sandra and Paul, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY but, sorry it is late delighted you had a lovely meal and time last night.
Have I missed getting the list with everyone's contact details and birthdays? I had no idea that it was Saba's birthday?
The reason I have been missing, my elder daughter and husband and our darling grandson were moving to their new home. There had been so many delays that at one point we thought the move would never happen. At last they moved yesterday, but as our daughter is a deputy head teacher she had to go into school, so our SIL had to take charge. So at the weekend we were helping get as much sorted and moved over to the new place as possible, they had to be our priority. I was also in charge of getting the curtains pressed, measured, altered and re-pressed and finally hung up too, can anyone tell me why oh why do they have to fold curtains up so much and pack them so tightly? Don't these companies realise how creased they get? They are finally moved into their dream home and it is fabulous, although there are packing boxes everywhere but come the weekend we will be on unpacking duty! There is school work and marking to be done each evening so it has to wait, I do hope you will all excuse my absence as they had to be the priority. Tomorrow we will be having a rest and relaxation day as we are cream crackered!
If anyone has sent me any emails I will get them answered tomorrow sorry I am not ignoring you honestly, but bed is calling, so I shall wish you all sweet dreams and good night and God Bless.
    Margaret xxx
