Good Monday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you have managed to rest and enjoy the weekend and you are now ready for the start of a new week.
I spent yesterday afternoon creating a journal page, following a Tracey Evans YouTube video, it kept me entertained while Paul worked another 11 hours! I am so worried that he is going to burn out! I put a piece of brisket in the slow cooker, it cooked all day and it smelt delicious, we had mashed potato, spring greens, carrots and Yorkshire puddings, it wasn't really the weather for such a hearty dinner but we enjoyed it anyway 😋
Today I am sharing my first 'Ticketed Snippet' I followed Tracey’s YouTube tutorial and really enjoyed it, I stamped a little script stamp with Versamark ink to cover the background, added white Embossing powder and heat set, I then taped Tracey Ticket stencil over the inked area and used Distress Oxide Sprays in Salvaged Patina and Villainous Potion to spritz lightly over the Ticket stencil, I removed the stencil and dried the ink, I cut the stencil out, I used a damp piece of paper towel to clean over the embossed script, I used Versafine Nocturne to stamp a chicken onto the ticket, I stamped another chicken in black and used the same script stamp to remove some of the black ink, it gives more interest to the chicken,I fussy cut it and added it to the ticket, just in front of the other Chicken, I added a strip of card from the scrap from around the tickets, to use as base for the chicken, I stamped and coloured and fussy cut a flower and added it to the ticket, then adhered the ticket into my little square journal, I added shading then added some stamping beside the ticket.
I hope that you all have a great start to your week,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
That looks great I really must get back to doing some of her Thrinchies or Snippets
ReplyDeleteYou must nag Paul to slow down Does he take regular breaks when he’s doing long shifts like this - that’s the NHS in me!
OH has just gone to get the boys and later we will be off to one of my favourite places for a few days So no crafting but maybe a bit of crochet in the evening if I’m not too tired!
Take care everyone xx
Great page, love her snippets, but I’m no good at them.
ReplyDeleteI’ll echo what Karen said about Paul taking things easier, but I’m sure he’s like R and the job has to be finished. He’s not much different now even though he is 77yrs. It’s in their nature I think.
Karen have a lovely break with the boys, crochet is relaxing more than any other craft, mind you I only do very basic stitches.
Have a good day all, it’s started to rain here now. Lilian
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteI love your snippet, it’s beautiful 😍
Your dinner sounds lovely and I’m sure Paul enjoyed it after working all day! We went out for a meal last night with Luke and Hayley. I had lamb rump which was delicious 😊
Karen, have a lovely break.
Been hot here all day but clouding over now, looks like we may get some rain.
Have a good evening everyone
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snippet.
Your meal sounds lovely . Hope Paul is alright.
Karen, have a lovely holiday.
Head still spinning, it's like a carousel and you can't get off today 😔
Hopefully you had a nice day today everyone whatever you were up to. Hugs to you all, Maria xxx
Your meal sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteWe returned home this morning having spent the weekend at our daughters. We spent most of the time outside soaking up the sunshine. We did go down the garden and picked some apples eating and cooking and plums, the pears aren’t quite ready for picking yet. When we were walking down there we spotted a deer watching us it was quite young and we didn’t want to scare it, so waited until it had gone it had been nibbling an apple still on the tree, such a beautiful sight. Anyway we have came home with enough fruit to keep us going for quite some time. We had a lovely weekend.
Love all of the cards over the weekend.
Hope Paul isn’t overdoing things, its difficult to get men to slow down especially when they have a lot going on, xxx
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
Take care, love Brenda xxx
