It's Friday, New Challenge

Good Friday Morning My Lovely Friends,

Welcome August,  where did you appear from so soon! 🤣  Fingers crossed you bring us a month full of sunshine & happiness 🌞

I am so relieved it's Friday, this week has been a really tough one, both (mostly) mentally but physically too.  My hernia has been 'stuck' out for a couple of days now and is quite painful, it makes my whole tummy area really painful, I may ca surgery and ask for a phone consultation I think.   The whole wedding outfit thing is really stressful,  it had me had breaking point yesterday,  it has dominated my head this week, I have sat at my desk everyday this week, getting out different new/unused things but it feels like I have a mental block when it comes to being creative!  I even ended up crying because I couldn't think of anything to cook for dinner!                                           I gave myself a bit of mental lift yesterday when I tried on the dress I wore to the second day of Emily's wedding last year, thinking it wouldn't fit me, despite my appetite being half of what it was and not being able to finish my meals I feel huge because of my abdominal area.  I tried the dress on and it definitely fit, in fact the top half was too big, which made me feel a bit better.

New Challenge

Now I know that I usually leave any new challenge to run for a couple of weeks, I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm for the last challenge,  so I thought a new Challenge might help.

So starting from Monday our new challenge will be......

" CASE CHALLENGE "

CASE stands for :  Copy And Selectively Edit

Which literally means:  Pick a card from anywhere that inspires you and add your own twist to it !

Basically what we do regularly when we see a card on Pinterest or something.  You can 'CASE ' a card, journal page, tag or anything you like.

I hope you don't mind the switch after a week,  we have done this challenge before but not for a long time.  I hope you enjoy it my lovelies 😘

Have a great Friday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra xxx

  1. That saying is good We all need to follow it especially you, young lady!
Definitely get in touch with your surgery for some advice and get them to chivvy along your appointment
I’m glad trying on the dress helped lighten you a bit - it was my favourite Buy a different jacket and shoes and no one would know you have worn it before unless you tell them!
I have a blood test later and dancing this evening
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Hello all, it’s been windy and dull, but not quite so humid thank goodness.

The saying is so true and well meaning, good for everyone.
The new challenge is a good one. I have been all afternoon trying to do a card for this week, not sure why I’m having such a hard time with my card making.
The orthopaedic lady I saw at the surgery, has decided to refer me to the orthopaedic consultant at the hospital, don’t know how long I will have to wait, not too long I hope.
    Hugs to all, Lilian

  3. Hi everyone
I too liked that dress so why not wear it again and like Karen say, just change it a bit with a shawl, jacket, new shoes and something in your hair . Guess you're like me and not much for a hat but something with feathers 😀
I made a card today, I actually made two but haven't photographed the other one yet as I can't decide what to use in the middle so maybe do it tomorrow. We were out to the shops this morning and back home I was ready for a nap. Weather was rubbish so felt a bit low, what happened to the summer ?
    Glad you feeling better Karen.
Lilian , take it easy. So sorry that you are in so much pain. No doctor that can help ?
Sandra, contact your doctors too. You must have this hernia sorted and not walk around in agony, bless you, All you ladies/ friends must take care of yourselfs.
Lot's of hugs to you all, Maria xx
