Good Tuesday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you all got to see a glimpse of the sun yesterday, I wonder if we'll see it today?? The forecast says cloudy and windy so we'll keep our fingers crossed.
Not sure what Lucy & I will do today, tomorrow we are finally getting our haircut, I have never gone this long without a haircut (since lock down). The last haircut I had was last August, the stress of the diagnosis of my Bile duct/pancreas had my mind of many things that seemed more important than haircuts! So I will be glad to get it chopped off tomorrow! The girls wouldn't go without me either so they are both looking forward to get a trim, although they have really long hair so it's not as obvious. Shayne stays open late so that we can all go together, he's a funny chap but quite old fashioned in his ways, he calls us all Madam, I love watching the girls try not to grin when he says it.
Today's card is another blend, (I expect you are getting bored of this challenge, I will change it this week, although I am quite enjoying it) this blend is Distress Spray Stains Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry & Seedless Preserves, now I did spray onto a watercolour card that was more cream than white, which slightly makes the spun sugar look more peachy. I absolutely love the blend too, I did nothing to it other than spray the stains onto the card, no blending or anything, they settle and blend together beautifully.
I left it to dry for a couple days and then I inked up and stamped one of the Tim Holtz 'Floral Outlines' stamps onto my background, added Gold Embossing powder and heat set it. I wanted the background to be the main focus of the card so I did nothing more. I simply added a sentiment, stamped in gold on the same cream card that I used for the card base.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love & hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Great card and that stamp really showcases that DO blend I don’t have any sprays but am tempted We are looking after Oscar today he has an inset day Yesterday’s rain put us off booking anything but today looks quite bright and sunny So we will do something
ReplyDeleteTake care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. I seem to be missing every other day for some reason at the moment! Beautiful throw back cards yesterday anyway. And today’s blend is gorgeous with that golden embossing. I hope you are a bit more mobile today my lovely xx
ReplyDeleteI definitely need a haircut. It’s gets all fluffy and starts to get curly now since I was ill so it’s time for a good trim.
Have a nice evening. I spent the afternoon with Pop just watching David Attenborough and chatting. It’s so good to be able to go and see him for just a few hours with a 12 minute journey either way. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteLove the finished look you have created with the DO blends. It has a rich look and the gold stamping adds a tasteful finish.
Hope you and the girls manage to get your hair cut. You will all be looking fabulous. I asked Julie to trim a couple of centimetres off my hair at the weekend, my hairdresser has had surgery on her right shoulder so can’t work for several weeks, she suggested i get one of the girls to give me a trim.
Karen hope you were able to keep Oscar entertained, on his school inset day. Im sure he was very happy to spend the day with you,
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Take care. Hugs Brenda xxx
