Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you are all as well as can be expected, I also hope that you are all able to enjoy this lovely weather while it lasts, that sunshine just makes life a little bit more enjoyable. After baking my bread yesterday morning and rescuing Milo from another 'interaction ' with the Black & White cat that keeps visiting, they had just started fighting as Paul got to them and sent the other cat packing, its a bold cat, as it knows that it's Milo's territory but it has no problem coming right up onto the deck to eat out cat nip plants, which evidently frustrates our otherwise 'big softy' Milo, Bella doesn't seem as bothered, whether it was because she didn't come face to face with the other cat, she just watched on as Milo fought off the intruder or whether its because Female cats aren't as territorial.
Lucy and I left after we had checked Milo over, we went to the Garden centre as Soph needed some soil for potting up her Terrarium jar, I got some 'succulent compost' to pot up some 'succulent plants thatvI have had since last autumn, I have been looking for a shallow terracotta bowl big enough to put them all in, while we were at the other garden centre on Saturday they had terracotta pots and the perfect sized bowl on 50% price reduction, so I put one in my basket!! So today's job will be planting all of the succulents in their new bowl. I bought some decorative stones to go on top but I am also going to add some if the little shells that we collect on holiday. I will share a photo when I have finished.
Today I apologise for not sharing an actual card or finished project. I have been working on my Colour Combination inspiration journal. I am hoping that by sharing some of the colour combinations I have done in both Distress Ink and Oxide. Some of the combinations look better in oxide inks as the blending makes the colours appear softer. I am only just getting started, I am looking forward trying some of the combinations on actual cards. I spritzed all of the blends with water too as I would do that if I was creating a background.
I have been really surprised by some of the colour groups and how much I like them. Are there any of these combinations that surprised you, or that you like?
I am thinking of photographing flowers that have interesting colour patterns to add to my colour journal too.
I hope that you all have a good day,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Great colour combinations I am particularly surprised and like the Tattered Rose Antique Linen and Iced Spruce Would never have put those together
ReplyDeletePoor Milo - thank goodness Paul was there to rescue him Is there anything on the market that would deter the cat visiting but protect Milo and Bella?
OH still in bed which is next to my craft room I don’t like to disturb him
A bit of crochet in the living room it is then
Take care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and all looking in. What some beautiful colour blends. Funnily enough I really love the same one as you Karen. It’s good to see them together like this. Thank you for sharing them my lovely
ReplyDeleteI hope the visiting cat gets fed up and leaves Milo to his own garden I’m looking forward to seeing your planted succulents, and it’s a great idea to use some of your seashells xx
I’ve been sorting the main bills etc of Pops now the house has gone.
Chris and I are both going down with a cold/cough bug which is doing the rounds here at the moment! Sleep well. Take care. Love Sue xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been busy haven't you. Funnily enough I agree with Karen that I never have thought that does colours would go together.
Tomorrow I will have a play and see if it can be a card. Poor Milo, I hope he is alright. Lucky Paul was around and could shoosh the other cat away. Guess he will come back tho. Maybe have a water pistol to hand.....
Brenda, hope your sister is feeling brighter.
It was colder today, didn't enjoy going out but needed some top up so Lidl it was. Spoke to mum. She will have some injections for some time and she got some blood thinners for she had some blood clots. My new sister is on her fourth round of chemo, not feeling too great but trying to work in-between. Don't know how she do it. I'm struggling just to get up and down the stairs in the morning 🙄
Hope you had a good day. Take care
Hugs to you all and to our missing friends xx
