A monochrome card for this weeks challenge

Good Wednesday Morning Ladies,

Well its the last day of August today, In my mind once we get into September it feels like the run down to Christmas, mostly because as we get back from holiday the Christmas decorations,  advent calendars and tins of chocolates are starting to appear in the shops, along with the Halloween costumes!

It seems so quiet here without the girls, don't get me wrong I love spending quality time with Paul but I do miss them messing about, winding Paul up and the constant giggling.

Todays card is one I made a couple weeks before our holiday,  I used Purple Posy as my colour, I embossed the background, then die cut a frame from the Ornate Rectangles die set, I stamped the detail in the same colour and stamped a matching flower and foliage to embellish the card. A few matching pearls to add some luxury to the card.

I hope that you all have a lovely Wednesday,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  2. Hi everyone
Beautiful card, I love the colour 😊
Hope the girls arrived home safely. Enjoy the rest of your time with Paul 😊
I feel the same, as soon as we hit September, it’s the run up to Christmas. Tesco already have their tubs of Celebrations, Quality Street chocolates, etc, in already! I really don’t know where this year has gone. I’m looking forward to Mark and I going back to the hot tub lodge in a couple of weeks time - doesn’t seem possible that it was nearly that time last year when we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we were going there then! I can see the rest of this year flying by in a flash - we have another wedding to go to, just after we’re back from Wales and a trip to Edinburgh at the end of October. I’m determined to start my Christmas shopping early this year so I’m not rushing around last minute like usual - I say it every year, so we shall see 😉
Have a lovely day everyone whatever you’re doing.
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Hi everyone
A gorgeous card and in such a lovely colour too.
Hoping to do some crafting this afternoon after done the shopping ( forgotten how cold it was in some part, finger were frozen ) washing on the line, it's a good breeze outside.
Going to Wales Sonia to your little heaven with the hot tub sound so nice, hope the weather is nice. We looked into going to Edinburgh by train but very expensive so we ended up in Bournemouth instead :>)
Sandra- enjoy the rest of your time in Spain. Hope it's nice and quiet and you can get into the sea/pool, it is the best feeling isn't when you can just float around and feel relaxed.
Janet, hope the weather is good where you are. My parent's have it in the 30 c at the moment but lots of thunder around.
Brenda, hope you have a better day. Just take it easy. Sending you both some extra hugs x
Lilian, still busy down in Cornwall or is it getting less tourists ? Would love to go to Cornwall one day, only been to Bodmin once a long time ago now when OH was down for business. Hope your meds. are helping you by now. Do takes time sometimes to get used to them.
Sue, I took a photo of one side of the room so you might get to see it hihihi. It is such a mess! I like sitting in there with the radio on but because the "kids" moved the stuff up I still can't find some things. I need to sort it out when we have done the broken floorboards, new carpet and decorated then first it will be my room.
Cheryl, hope you are alright ? missing to see your beautiful
    crafting.
Ladies, I hope to see some of you at Bedford Craft fair on the 25th, Karen are you coming with your friends ? Feel ages since we saw eachother again. It's right, the years goes quicker then ever before.
Have a lovely day and aches and pains are as little as they can be.
Many hugs to you all xxx
