My First Journal Page

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that today finds you well, have any of you found your craft desks yet?  I managed to tidy mine a bit and make room to start my Art Journal,  I needed quite a bit of room.  Only I could buy A Journal that has all black pages!! I should have looked closely at the description!

Paul went into work today, so it was just Lucy and I at home,  she has an art project of her own going on so I encouraged her to go get it and we could craft together.  She is customising a pair of Air Force 1 trainers for Flynn for his birthday, they are plain white and she is painting a scene from Star Wars on the side of them, it looks AMAZING!

I had subscribed to a Tracy Evans Workshop using brightly coloured paints on a black background.  I got everything together, I only had chalky acrylic paints not the Dina Wakely ones which Tracy used, so her colours are a little more vibrant, you could infact use Oxide inks.  I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours I spent absorbed into creating this page, it's by no means perfect but it's my first one, hopefully they will improve with practice!

I hope than you all find time for a little creativity today my lovelies.

Sending my love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

from an extremely cold start to the day here.
Yesterday morning we had a slight covering of snow but it went throughout the day.

I have to go for another blood test this morning so it may take a while as I disrobe from my layers of warm clothing.lol.

SANDRA -what an explosion of colour which is so interesting and I cannot wait to see your next episode.

HUGS to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. Your page is gorgeous It is very much outside your comfort zone Perfection is not required It wouldn’t look as individual if it looked perfect and manufactured I will try something similar with Oxides as I don’t have paints
This is going to sound weird but it’s lovely to just spend a couple of hours just “playing” As it’s for a journal there isn’t that deadline we set ourselves when we make a card
OH is at Chelsea later so I will definitely be playing
    Take care everyone x

  3. Hi everyone
Wow, I love your journal page, it’s fantastic. The colours are great on the black pages. So pleased you had chance to craft, and with Lucy too. Hoping we’ll get a chance to see her finished trainers for Flynn 😊
I’ve got two crafty creations on the go at the moment. I made a start on a birthday card for my Dad and I’ve gessoed my covers for my journal, ready to decorate. I shall be continuing with them today, making the most of my last day off before going back to work tomorrow.
Janet, I hope the blood test goes ok.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  4. Hello, it’s a lovely sunny day, but still very cold.

Sandra your page is fantastic, love all the bright colours and the circles. If that’s your first, can’t wait to see the following pages. Did you enjoy it?

Trying to do my sons birthday card this morning, it’s taking me ages, it’s one of Tracy’s demo, using the pencil stamps, although I think I’m doing the same it never quite looks as good. It will be ok as he never says any thing about my cards .
Hope you all have a lovely afternoon, Lilian

Hope you had a good day everyone and blood test and other doctors appointments went well.
