Your Clean & Simple Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Greetings from a very chilly Paignton, we set off in heavy snow yesterday but as we got on the M5 we needed our sunglasses on!  Never have been so pleased that our car has heated seats, firstly because they are leather so they are really cold to sit on early morning, secondly I found the heat quite soothing on my joints. I did have to turn it off after half hour as I was getting too warm 😳!!

The traffic around Cribbs Causeway was really busy but I imagine it was Christmas shoppers looking for a 'Black Friday ' bargain!! I have never known two words trigger Paul more, it seems to make him really angry, in his words 'We aren't American'!!

Did any of you buy any BF Bargains??,

Your Clean and simple cards

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

1& 2:

I’ve used Tim Holtz snowflake die. The first card with Speckled Egg distress oxide inked on card behind the snowflake. The sentiment is from a Woodware stamp. I added a Pearl to the centre.
The second card I added a die cut star, and the sentiment is from my stash.

3:
I used a Penny Black cling stamp and added the die cut star. I thought it looked better without a sentiment.
4:
Ive used a selection of Inkylicious snowflakes, stamped and heat embossed in white. I inked my card with Dusty Concord and Tumbled Glass distress inks. I added the two vellum Christmas Roses from Chloe’s, inked on the backs in Milled Lavender. The sentiment is from LOTV, and the centres are peel offs.
5:
Not sure where the snowmen stamp is from, but found it in my stash! Coloured with ProMarkers. The hill border die is Mama Elephant (I think) The piece of backing card is inked in Stormy Sky distress ink. The snowflake is Joy Crafts and sentiment LOTV.

Sonia WOW!!! 5 stunning Clean & Simple Challenge cards.  They are all so beautiful from the gorgeous Simple Snowflake cards down to that adorable collection of Snowmen, you think a group is called a 'Flurry of Snowmen' ?🤣😂
Thank you so very much for an incredible display of cards XXX

Karen

I was going to paper piece the poinsettia but then thought it wouldn’t fit CAS for the faffing

Karen I love your designs,  adding that embossed card under the Poinsettia card makes such a difference, the card looks more luxurious! I absolutely love the adorable Reindeer cards, the way the are arranged the deers works so brilliantly.
Thank you so much for 3 amazing Challenge cards XXX

Janet

A selection of amazing Stamped Clean & Simple cards from Janet for this weeks challenge.

Thank you much Janet XXX

Maria

Maria's Descriptions:
1/ Kraft card, Poinsettia red embossed, Snowflakes and Candles made in Silver card.
2/ Snow embossed yellow card, Ribbon frame and an old decoupaged teddy with flowers.
3/ well I planned a white on white card but it does not look right for me so I
used some red pins and a ribbon with some hearts.

We don't give many presents anymore, only just Molly and Louis really but
I thought I make some 4"x4" cards for their prezzies this year so I started
off with some different colours of DO and then I stamped a Santa in the
red one.  Made a hot coffee in the purple one

Bell on blue splodge of DO and the Butterfly on green(going to put some
crystals down the spine) is going with the present for my sister-in-law for
her birthday on the 1st of January.

Oh WOW Maria,  7 amazing Clean & Simple Challenge cards!!! They are all so lovely,  I love the cute ones for Louis & Molly ! Thank you so much for so many amazing Challenge cards. XXX

  1. Morning Everyone
What a lovely way to start Sunday looking at so many beautiful cards and so many different designs too.

Well we opened our blinds yesterday morning to a very very white world. It was our really first WINTER morning. Thick snow everywhere and not a sign that gritting lorries had been.
We still have thick snow this morning and so our doors will be closed all day.

The CAFE of course is OPEN to all who need a quiet space for a time.
Sorry there isn't a lunch menu today.
PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. After the really high winds and heavy rain yesterday we now have glorious sunshine
As always your cards are amazing ladies I was going to paper piece the poinsettia but that would have been so faffy It would have turned it into a Complicated And Simple card
OH is off to Chelsea later and as my sewing machine is out I will try and make some face masks
Will everyone comply in the mandatory wearing of them? We’ll have to wait and see I certainly won’t be rushing to go shopping etc
    Take care everyone xx

  4. Hi everyone
Wow, a lovely selection of beautiful cards, I love them all 😍
Glad the journey went well, ending up in the sunshine. Hope you had a good night in the hotel, and woke up to a glorious sea view this morning.
Well, it’s been another cold one here today, but we had sunshine all day. However, its now snowing here! Didn’t think they forecast that!
Janet, it must be nice waking up to a winter wonderland, knowing you don’t have to go out in it, but I hope it hasn’t caused too much disruption.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely day and stayed warm. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies

What a lovely treat seeing so many beautiful challenge cards, ladies you have excelled yourselves, every card is so inspiring.

Sandra hope your trip to Devon was smooth and uneventful and you found Paul’s dad as comfortable as can be expected and his mum coping with all the changes that has happened recently for both of them.

We have had a quiet weekend, I think it’s just what we needed. This week I need to get my head around sorting out the Christmas cards and presents. It’s much more difficult now the grandchildren have all grown up, I usually ask them these days to give me a list so I can choose something from it. Saves a lot of time !!!

I hope you have all had a good weekend and have charged your batteries ready to take on whatever the next week has in store for you. xx

Take care, stay safe and warm, hugs Brenda xxx
