Alcohol Ink Background

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, we had another overcast day yesterday, not that I got to see outside really, I ended up having to have a 'Bed' day, the pain is just relentless and unbearable.  I am hoping its just because we spent so much time in the car over the past few days.   I have X rays Monday so will hopefully know more then.

I got Paul to help me to my craft desk so that I could get a card made for today,  luckily I made a few different backgrounds yesterday so I had some to use today, the one I ended up using I made using Alcohol Inks Citrus and Aquamarine on glossy card.
I added Blending solution to help blend the two colours together and allowed the piece to dry naturally. I hadn't decided what I was going to use it for but after die cutting the Sue Wilson Floral Panel "Cosmos' die a couple of times and adhering them together I picked the inked piece and placed it behind the die cut I saw that it worked straight away. So I cut it to fit behind the die cut panel, I then used some matching card stock to matt and layer the panel before placing on a white card base.
To finish the card I added the 'Thanks' die cut to the bottom of the centre panel.
I like how it turned out,  I hope you do too.

I hope that you all have a lovely Thursday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  2. Your card is beautiful I love how the background card matches your inked piece
You really must get something done about the pain you’re in and lack of mobility Hopefully the x-rays will be able to tell and what needs doing I do wonder if a change of painkillers might help I know OH used to have to change prescription for his psoriasis as his skin became “immune”
We had a pleasant afternoon at bowls
OH is working today I need to go to PO and I want to finish sewing together an amigurami animal- Sean the alpaca! Can’t do that job in the evening
    Take care all xx

  3. Hi everyone
I love your card and the alcohol ink background is fabulous. The cosmos die looks wonderful against it 😊
Tried doing some alcohol ink backgrounds myself yesterday, but I can’t really get on with it. Don’t know whether I’m over doing it with the ink or what!? Really not happy with the results so they’ll probably end up in the bin 😕
Hope you managed to sleep last night despite the pain. Fingers crossed the X-ray will give some results on Monday.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hello, lovely and sunny here.

Sandra your card is super, love everything about it especially the coloured background. It’s lovely to see DL cards have come back in fashion.

Going out to the garden this afternoon, hoping I can watch the tennis on my iPad. Not sure it will work.
Hope you are all having a good day, Lilian

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A great card today. I love how well the background works with the white die cuts. I’m sorry you are in so much pain. Everything is crossed for Monday showing you what is going as the not knowing is worse than knowing what you are dealing with.
A sorting out bits and pieces day for me. At least the weather is brighter here today. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for everyone in need. Take care xx

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies love,

I love today’s card, the background works so well with the floral die cut. Thank you for your inspiration.

I’m sorry you are still in so much pain, Take things easy over the weekend, I Hope your X-ray will give some answers.

My sister got home around 12.30 this morning (last night) the night nurse ran her a lovely bath which she said was really relaxing. She slept well after all the trauma in the previous 24hours. Today has been spent quietly, but everyone was relieved to see she had returned home. Thank you everyone for your very caring messages.

Take care, I hope you all sleep well. Love Brenda xxx
