A beautiful 50th Birthday card by Pat

Good Morning Ladies,

We actually had a few flakes of snow yesterday afternoon,  it didn't stick and was followed by drizzle so, sadly, not a hint of white round here, Matt was having a fantastic covering of snow during the afternoon,  the flakes of snow were enormous,  I'm not sure that it stayed there either.  It's  flippin freezing here though!

Yesterday saw another record breaking day as far as Covid cases go, its horrifying, over 90,000 in just two days!! It is literally getting too much of a worry to leave the house, it doesn't seem to be frightening to everyone else though, the roads are as busy as ever and the supermarket car parks were full!!  I think the best thing to do is to stay home and stay safe.

Today's card is gorgeous,  it's another of Pat's Groovi designs, this one is extra special as it was  Karen's 50th Birthday card, it is a lovely design Pat, I love the heart, that fancy cut out piece gives the card a real trendy twist.
I bet Karen loved her card Pat, thanks so much for sharing it with us XXX

I hope that you all stay warm, dry and safe,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Pat-what an absolutely beautiful card. That’s a real keepsake.

My friend was in Theatre for over 6 hours and was taken to ITU. I haven’t had an update so will check with the ward this morning.
My Uncle now has pneumonia and is struggling. The hospital called his 2 sons to say that he might not survive this-no news overnight so I’ll see if I hear anything today.

  2. Morning Everyone
from a very very cold and white morning here.
The snow continued to fall until lunch time and so we had a good covering and of course not a sign of gritters or snow plough. By late afternoon the top road had cleared by traffic but we still have white gardens and paths.

MICHELE-I have everything crossed that things went well yesterday for your Friend and am so sorry to see that your Uncle is facing more problems.

Not sure what I'll be doing today.I don't have any enthusiasm for anything at the moment.I wonder if we will be moved up into Tier4 today.

The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting foryou all.
HUGS are on their ay to you all.TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFExxxx

I hope your friend is OK and soon out of ITU and I hope your uncle is doing OK too
We have brilliant sunshine at the moment but it is mighty mighty cold
Not going to be doing much today
The numbers for covid are frightening One of the problems is that with the new strain you might not have any symptoms So may be passing it on without realising Just stay in your bubble is the only safer option I think
    Take care all xx

  7. I've just read on my Facebook that the Oxford vaccine has now been approved as well. I hope that's correct. The Pfizer vaccine is already being rolled out here.

A beautiful card Pat, one to treasure.
Michele, hope your friend is doing ok after her 6 hour op. Sorry to hear about your Uncle xx
Another cold day here with a heavy frost this morning. No sign of snow though.
I nearly slipped at work on an icy patch - frightened me as I did that a couple of years ago and broke my wrist, ended up being off work for nearly 3 months.
Had our first vaccination this morning, having the second one on the 20th January.
Hope everyone well and staying warm. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  10. Hello Sandra and ladies,

PAT what a beautiful card you have designed for Karen’s 50th birthday. I’m sure she will treasure it.

MICHELE hope you managed to find out how your friend is progressing, fingers crossed she makes a speedy recovery. Sorry to hear about your uncle.

It has been very cold hear today, tomorrow is going to be colder and we have snow forecast for New Year’s Day. It will be nothing like Janet has had up in Sheffield.

Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
