My Lovely Christmas from Brenda

Good Morning Ladies,

Oh I am so confused about what day of the week we are on, it seems that it is Monday, the very last Monday of not only this year but this Decade!  So we have to remember to change 2 digits in the date this time, it's bad enough for me trying to remember 1 !
Well sadly we didn't get to sample the delights of the local Red Lion once again!! Paul, Matt and Paul's Parents all set out for a walk early afternoon yesterday, they were going to call and see if we needed to book to eat on Saturday night (we didn't need to book before), the lovely new landlord showed them the only table that was left and it was tiny bench with a pew each side, there was no way all seven of us would have fitted on that, so we missed our chance once again!  Paul's Mum said that she quite fancied a Chinese takeaway so we had that instead, which was really nice and enjoyed by everyone.  Paul's parents left mid morning yesterday to get back before the shops closed and Paul and I spent the rest of the day relaxing on the sofa, I have to say that on the rare occasion we have had the TV on this past week there had been nothing on but repeats and rubbish! So we got started on our Annual Jigsaw puzzle, (we know how to party)! teehee!!

Today's card is a lovely 'Clean and Simple' style card, the main focus is that amazing Silver Mirror card 'Peace' die cut by Sue Wilson, Brenda's design was completed with the addition of that lovely 'Manger Scene' die cut in Navy, with the Star glowing brightly above.
I absolutely love my card Brenda thank you so much, thanks also for the inspiration, I have that 'Peace' die and I don't think I have used it in 2 or more years. XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,  thank you to those that have sent their favourite cards in, I am looking forward to writing this post.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Sandra-what a lovely card from Brenda, perfect example of Clean & Simple. Very classy.
Shame you didn’t manage to eat at the Red Lion but a Chinese takeaway sounds yummy.

Can’t believe it’s back to work this morning-let’s hope the day is drama free.

I’ll try to remember to look for my favourite cards tonight-I keep forgetting.

I love this morning's card. I too have this Sue Wilson die.

Well it's still dark here and it look's as though it's dry just for a change.
I'm on my own this morning as Jim is on duty taking our dear friend to hospital for his blood check.
I have to say I'm looking forward to having the house to myself for a few hours. Not sure what to do but I'll find something.

The CAFE is OPEN and ready for you all to visit. It's nice and warm and there's still Christmas cake waiting to be eaten with cheese.
HUGS are on their way to you all.Take care and stay safe xxxx

  4. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. The cards you have shared over the weekend and today are all beautiful. And there have been some lovely gifts that will be put to good use won’t they ladies.
Your meal at Becca sounded delicious but I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get to your local pub yet again! Glad you all enjoyed the Chinese takeaway though. I hope you can relax now my lovely xx
Karen, what a fantastic advent tree the craft society made. So much work and crammed with detail and all fora worthy charity too. I hope you can relax a bit today x
Lynda, I hope the pain is less each day. Please don’t push yourself. How is CU feeling now? Xx
I had a quite day on Saturday and yesterday we went for a tasty pub lunch with Gem, her boyfriend and a brother and sister of Chris’s.
Chris’s brother came back to ours for coffee and stayed until quite late as we watched a series on catchup which was very funny in places and all filmed on some of the UKs beautiful rivers which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I must try and find my desk under so many things that have been put on there over the last week. It is going to take a while!!!
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Michele and all in need. Take care xx

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Thank you Sandra and ladies for your comments about the card I made. My mojo definitely went out of the window this year, I was really struggling to make any cards, the few I did manage were all very CAS. I have made a note to myself - I must get started on my seasonal cards early, hope maybe if I make a few each month would be an even better idea..... watch this space!

What a shame Sandra the Red Lyon was so busy, at least you were able to sit in comfort with your Chinese meal. xx

LYNDA hope the pains are easing as each day passes. xx

It’s a lovely bright sunny day here hope you are all enjoying similar weather.

Sending hugs to everyone, love Brenda xxx

  7. Afternoon ladies.
    Beautiful card Brenda.
I once again have joined a group who are making a x-mas card a week, I might not do it all the way but it would be a good start don't you think Lol
O Lynda, glad you manage to do the injections and it all will be done soon. You keeping up the exercises, do take care. I hope Terry is better ? hugs for you both.
It's lovely outside but pretty cold here today. Had a little walk and then we went over to one of the garden centres. I got hold of 3 long sleeved tops in the sale, one is a bit tight but will go back to ww so hopefully not for long.
Sending warm hugs to everyone, Maria xxx
