One Colour Card

Good Morning Ladies,

It's been a bit wet and dreary here the past couple of days,  I think that makes it feel so much colder.  So yesterday I thought I'd have a soup making session,  I started with Butternut squash,  soup that had a base that started with Garlic, ginger (grated), onion, which you soften together,  then stir on coconut milk, vegetables stock, cayenne 1/8th of tsp and cinnamon,  which put me off but I trust the process and it doesn't taste cinnamon-y' at all, you get a very slight warmth from cayenne and ginger, the overwhelming taste for me was coconut,  Lucy thought it tasted like korma Curry which is understandable.  Then I made Leek & Potato and then roasted veg soup with our own tomatoes,  peppers,  onions and roasted garlic with vegetable stock.  Lucy then made Coffee & Walnut cake and I was fit to drop!  🤣😂

Today's card is a one colour card that I made alongside the Thrinchies I did last week, I was so pleased with how it turned out I put it to one side for Karen's Birthday.  I will definitely do something similar in a different colour, I was thinking of maybe setting the 'shades of one colour' as a challenge.  What do you think??

I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. This card is stunning and so much nicer in the flesh than the photo - thank you
A great idea for a challenge too
Just got back from Tring museum I used to visit this place so much as a child and in a way hasn’t changed much, it’s just got better Oscar wasn’t that keen and Charlie just want to whizz around everything I loved the humming birds and seeing how simple things like how much dog breeds have changed through the years Charlie was brilliant at guessing the skulls
    Take care everyone xx

Gorgeous card and yes, a good choice as a future challenge.
Glad you had a good day Karen. Must be lovely to see the boys exploring.
I'm so tired, no oomph at all but resting today because going to the NEC tomorrow to have a day out. Is it anything you ladies want me to get you while I'm there ?
Hoping that you all have a good day and looking after yourself. Many hugs to you all xxx.

  4. Hello all. Another day of blowing a gale and pouring with rain.
Your card is stunning, I love the idea of using one colour, or Christmas I really don’t mind. I love all the cards and journal pages you have been doing recently.
I have at last got a clear desk, starting a card for Sunday tomorrow, not quite sure what I’m going to do. Goodnight all, Lilian
