Good Friday Morning Ladies,
I know it's another Pumpkin journal page, but I was excited to do this one, it was one of the first Vicky Papaicannou pages that I saw. I really enjoyed creating it,
It started off with cutting up some patterned rice paper and arranging it so that it overlapped, giving lots if different depths of colour, I used rice paper glue like 'Slap it on' to adhere the rice paper, giving a good coat over the top too to seal it in.
After this I added some stamping and then gave a coat of white paint using 'dry brushing' to give a light coat here and there. Now I didn't have any Copper texture paste, although I had translucent paste and some copper pigment powder (that I bought off of Craft Tv over 10 years ago, proof that the saying "if you hold on to it long enough you will need it''
I used a stencil and added little areas of embossing randomly over the background. I then set it to dry and picked out the die cuts I was going to use. I arranged them onto the journal page and adhered the die cuts with the same glue, I used my pencils to add some colour to the pumpkin and the leaves. I picked out some sentiments and added them and finished with some white and gold splatters.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteI love your journal page. All of the elements and textures are fantastic 😍
Done a bit of crafting, but couldn’t really concentrate! I did manage to make a card for the challenge though.
Hope everyone is keeping well and has a good day
Sending hugs to you all xx
Hello all, trouble here again, woke up to find the kitchen sink drain blocked. We have a very large oak tree and although we have a cover the leaves get in. Poor R it’s a horrible job, but all done now.
ReplyDeleteSorry too much information.
Sandra another super journal page, love the pumpkins, love the idea to add colour to your cut outs.
Found some old papers that I think I can use now, they didn’t suit card making but I think I can do a journal page with them. Thank you for finding Vicky , she is a real inspiration.
Have a good day all. Lilian
