Good Morning Ladies,
Just a quickie today, as I am waiting to find out whether Becca wants me to go with her to her Eye Hospital appointment, she was going with a friend but I explained to her that we need some answers about her treatment so far and going forward, as you know she came back from her mini honeymoon in Devon early last week for her post op follow up, but they cancelled last minute, giving her an appointment for 25th September, on Saturday she was in a lot of pain above and below her eye, the Eye Hospital aren't open on the weekend so she called Monday and was told to go in first thing Tuesday, it turns out that there is a lot of pressure built up in her eye, they think it maybe the gas bubble moving forward, they were very concerned, they gave her 3 lots of eye drops and sent home, to return this morning. They didn't give ger any information about the drops, so she ended up calling me in a right state at midnight on Tuesday as any form of light or brightness felt like knives in her eyes! I did some research and all three of the eye drops (which are for Glaucoma) caused light sensitivity, she was most afraid that she had pain in her good eye too, it turns out that that is also a side effect. I finally calmed her down and started talking about other things by which time it was after 2am, so I finally got into bed and tried to relax at about 3am. She wasn't in as much pain yesterday morning and was happy to wait for today's appointment.
It literally doesn't matter how old your children are, they are still your babies in your heart ♥️
Today I am sharing this absolutely stunning card made by Our Karen.
Karen's Description:
I saw a card very similar to this on Pinterest and cannot find it now to show comparison but I’m quite chuffed by my result Created in Serif (which I’ve saved to be used again) and added some Spellbinder Flowers from Marissa's Bouquet
I created the letter “C” as a punch in Serif and cut it from a piece of “material”
Found an embellishment and coloured it green and added Blossom die cuts
Karen did find the card that inspired her....
I absolutely love your card Karen, the card that inspired you is pretty but adding mat that also ties in the black ink makes it look properly finished off. Those tiny flowers are so pretty, I always remember them as Christine Embersons favourite flowers, they were often in her kits.
Thank you so much for allowing me share your lovely card. XXX
Sending my love and hugs all of you,
Sandra xxx
I do hope Becca gets on OK today It is so unfortunate that they cancelled her appointment at the last minute
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing my card My daughter isn’t the frilly type So this card with just a simple spray of flowers was right up her street
We are on grandparent duty this afternoon/evening which I’m looking forward to
Take care everyone xx
Hi Sandra and all.
ReplyDeleteKaren your card for Charlotte is beautiful. I haven’t seen this style befor but it is definitely going on my must try list. I would have to get my head around the Serif side of it first though 🤭 As you say it is perfect for those who aren’t frills and fluff ladies….or gentlemen with a change of colours as many of them love flowers too don’t they. Enjoy your grands later on xx
Sandra, I have everything crossed for Becca and hope she gets some good news at her appointment today. Our babies stay exactly that no matter how old they are in years. Especially when they are ill as all we want to do is take all of their pain away. Sending hugs to you all my lovely xx
