Good Monday Morning Ladies,
Welcome to the start of a new week, the last week of September (if you can believe that)! We have been counting down to September for what seems like forever for Becca's wedding and its been and almost gone in a flash! This time last year it was 'Save the Dates '! I can't wait to see the photos!
We had quite a busy weekend, Paul got all of the hedges cut and the huge Bay Bush we have that grows so fast. The cleaning up was the hardest part, it reminded me of my childhood, we always got to have a go with the shears, clipping the privet hedge,we hated sweeping up the clippings though. It looks so neat and tidy now, well worth the back ache. Paul joked that we could fit another car in the parking area now!
Today I am sharing a Tag that I made roughly following a video on Instagram. I only had translucent crackle paste but it gave some good texture and interest. I added some stamping around the edges. I used Evergreen Bough Spray stain, Evergreen Bough Oxide Spray, Old Paper Oxide Spray to colour the background, I then used Distress Crayon in same colours to colour around the crackles. I coloured and fussy cut the butterfly and added it to tag along with the sentiment. I finished with some splatters of Old Olive Distress Oxide spray.
I hope that you all have a great start to the week,
Love & hugs to all,
Sandra xxx
Your tag is beautiful I love the effect of the crackle paste and the colouring of the butterfly is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI had a lovely weekend (a bit tearful at one point) We had our last friendly match on Saturday which my team won (OH lost🤣) and Sunday was closure of the green so we had a fun match against each other My team won (prize a small bottle of Prosecco) All proceeds from a fun “spider” game and sale of rolls & cakes are being given to British Heart Foundation
Take care everyone xx
Beautiful tag, the crackle paste adds great depth and interest to the design. Not a lot happening here, wish i could find my mojo to get crafting, i find if i stand to long my back gets so Painful - all i can do is take more painkillers i have to remind myself that there are a lot worse off than me. Daughter (the one who retired) cheered me up with photos , she and SIL are on holiday in South Africa, they were from The Cape of Good Hope it looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTake care everyone Hugs Brenda xxx
