Good Monday Morning Ladies,
What a wet & wild Sunday!! It was so cold too, we put the Aga back on on Saturday night I was glad of the warmth yesterday. My goodness did we get some rain, very windy too, I put the tumble dryer on for the first time in minths months, it almost finished its cycle, we heard a strange noise and it will no longer start. mind we have had it a good 15 years +, it almost caught on fire about 13 years ago, (it was one of those that needed an adjustment, when the chap came he said that it had been smouldering as he could see the burnt lint on the element) so we now have to look for a new dryer! Funny how it decides to give up on the first cold/wet day of the season! After all that we decided to stay home and spend our anniversary at home relaxing, we literally did nothing, just reading and relaxing. It's something I find so hard when there are jobs that need doing, we managed though, we were going out for dinner but the torrential rain put us of, we decided to get a takeaway and stay in the dry.
I am really looking forward to sitting at my desk and crafting this week, I feel like mind has been to 'busy' this past few weeks, luckily I made enough projects leading up to the wedding to cover last week, I sat at my desk a few times last week but couldn't summon the enthusiasm to create anything. But I really wanted to sit and craft yesterday but wanted to sit and spend time with Paul.
Today's card is another inspiration card from the IndigoBlu magazine I got on my birthday. I started with some background stencilling, then used some stamps from the free set with the magazine and coloured with Pretty Peacock ink and I used the same colour card in matting & layering.
I hope that you all have a great start to your week,
Love and hugs,
Sandra xxx

ReplyDeleteKaren it’s also our daughter’s birthday today, we celebrated it yesterday as she is in London today. Unfortunately only one of her children was home, Ciara went to Nottingham on Saturday to start University, and this week is freshers week, Her sister is in Bristol at university but also has a part time job as a teaching assistant in a primary school so couldn’t get home, Callum was home he is filling his time until after Christmas when he is going to San Sebastian to study, he already has a degree in Micro Biology and this is the boy we were worried about, he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome before he started school !!!! Last week he drove to Scotland with three friends and they claimed Ben Nevis.
Take care everyone, Love Brenda xxx
Hi all, at last the wind has gone down, it was so noisy with everything banging on the patio.
ReplyDeleteSandra love your Christmas card, so delicate. Put my sewing machine up but only did a bit of mending.
I am trying to finish a wall hanging that I started ages ago but lost interest, determined to finish now.
