Hollyhock die card 2 !

Good Morning My Lovelies,

Well I couldn't tell you anything about the weather yesterday as I was sat in front of my laptop all day looking at dresses for the wedding.  What a nightmare I am having,  it just seems like you are looking at the same dresses on different websites.  I did eventually order a few, well over £600 worth,  I'm hoping one of them might work,  they aren't what I would have gone for but sometimes its surprising that something you wouldn't pick is the one you end up loving 🤞🤞

Today's card was a quick one that I made yesterday,  I had been on my laptop all day and my mojo and any enthusiasm had taken a hike!!  So I picked up the Hollyhock die that I used yesterday and an old background offcut from my bit box.  I made my card base and a mat that was 1/4 inch smaller,  I die cut a rectangle from it,  to make sure I got the piece of background and placed it over the aperture,  i used a bit of low tack tape to hold the piece in place,  I added adhesive to the background piece and lined the mat up on the base card a pressed the blue background into place,  I then lifted the top layer off added foam tape around that aperture and secured it in place,  I then took my die cut Hollyhock and arranged the pieces inside the aperture.                                                                             I stamped the sentiment and it smudged 🙄, so I had to stamp it onto a piece of card and die cut it.

A simple card with lovely coloured background.

I hope that you all have a great Tuesday,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hi Sandra and all looking in. Lovely clean and simple cards yesterday and today. My must try list is getting longer, I just wish my mojo would come back! Great to know you are enjoying the fruits, or rather vegetables of your labours. I have everything crossed for you in your search for “the “ dress. Chris made Mum try on a bright pink one when she was looking for our wedding. She wouldn’t have even glanced at it but she looked stunning in it and was so glad that she tried it on. I do hope you have the same result my lovely xx
Karen, I’m sending you gentle hugs xx
Another day in London after a warm night in the hotel.
Have a good one everyone. Take care. Love Sue xx

  2. Hi all , just lost a long comment, also sorry I missed yesterday.
The family have all gone home, so very quiet here now.
R has had to private to get new hearing aids, his are not working but nhs just tell him it’s wax in his ears. Has to have them vacuumed to remove the wax, that’s £60, and then the new aids cost approximately £1600.
I have been watching Utube this afternoon while doing the ironing. Saw one or two ideas to try, whether I can do them we will have to see.
Karen hope you are feeling a bit better, was thinking of you.
Everyone hope you are all feeling well. Sorry I forgot to come in yesterday. My memory is dreadful these days. Have a good evening all. Lilian
