Day 3 Favourite Colour Challenge

 Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that today is finds you well, for those of you that aren't feeling so well, I am sending gentle hugs 🤗 ❤

I am writing todays post as I sit on a sun lounger by the pool, it's a beautiful day (so far), there is barely a cloud in the sky, there is a gentle warm breeze that keeps us comfortable.  We decided to stay by the pool today because the sea is quite rough, the plan is to have a dip in the pool, its quite busy at the moment so we are waiting for siesta time  quite a few families dissappear early afternoon and don't return until late afternoon/early evening, the pool closes at around 8pm, there is a very large Spanish family in two mobile homes across from us, their children range from babies to 9/10 year olds, I'm not sure which children belong to which parents,  they don't eat until after 9pm and they don't serm to put them to bed until the parents go to bed, I believe its a cultural thing, seems very late to me though, they don't sit quietly and play board games either, it's entertaining though, Paul and I love to sit and people watch.

Today's card features another piece of the beautiful "Bloom Where you Grow" Designer paper collections, this particular piece has those trailing vines on both top and bottom so that you can chop it in half and get 4 6x6 pieces with the same trailing vines. I matted and layered the paper onto green  card  and then onto a white card base.  To finish the design I fussy cut a plant pot and the foliage from another piece of the patterned paper,  I finished the pot by added a little twine bow to the pot and stamped the sentiment in matching green ink.  Another quick and simple design.

I am now going to exercise my brain by doing a Sudoku or a crossword, not much else planned, I think we are having Steak for dinner, we have a gas cooker/bbq that we bring as I prefer to cook outside

It's so versatile,  not as messy as a BBQ!  Paul has asked if we can have his & girls favourite potatoes, which are basically potatoes cut into small cubes, parboiled for about 10 mins, drained and allowed to cool, I will add olive oil to the plate/pan allow it heat for a few minutes and then add the potato cubes, adding salt and pepper and cook until crisp on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I will cook the onions and garlic mushrooms on the Cadac too, we will have some peas and asparagus with it too.  We bought some little pots of 'Creme Catalan' to try for dessert,  they look similar to Creme Brulee, I will let you know what they are like tomorrow 😋

I hope that you all have a lovely day

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  5. Hello All, dull here again today.

Sandra another lovely card, you must have worked really hard to get all of these cards done.

Glad Jim’s op went well, and hope the discomfort eases soon.

Have spent the whole morning trying to sort Rs computer, it’s decided that it needs a new driver, it’s been working ok for ages, so not sure what happened to the original software. Managed to download again, now it won’t scan properly, hate computers.

Have a pleasant afternoon all, Lilian

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Both yesterday and today’s cards are lovely. Cutting the ef yesterday was a great idea and today’s fussy cutting is perfect.
I hope you enjoyed your steak and potatoes that sound delicious. Food cooked outside always taste so much better I think. Let’s hope you still have some beach left after any more storms etc! Continue to enjoy yourselves whatever you do my lovely xx
Mum is still in hospital. We are waiting to have another meeting which takes place tomorrow to decide on exactly what care she needs at home even though it was all agreed with her CBD doctor last Wednesday. We are not at all happy as Mum is the one who is suffering the most, poor thing. It is heart breaking to leave her each night in hospital. Fingers crossed it will be sorted tomorrow as most of the health workers involved are as upset as we are about it.
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
