Your Challenge Cards

 Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope you are all having a relaxed Sunday,  we have quite a few little jobs to catch up on, so I dont think we will be relaxing.

One thing I am excited about is that we are having roast chicken today and all the veg, including the cauliflower is from our own garden!! I tried a new recipe for our French Beans last week as we had a lot ready at same time,  I simply popped them (washed & trimmed) into a bowl and added some olive oil, salt,  pepper and crushed garlic, I coated everything evenly and spread them on a baking sheet,  into the oven for about 15 minutes,  they were divine,  the girls couldn't get enough of them so that's what we will be having today.

Sue

Sue thank you so much for suggesting 'Aperture cards' as the theme for this weeks challenge, your cards have been so inspirational too,  your first card above turned out perfectly,  the other two cards were fantastic too, I know how much work and thought went into the easel/aperture card, it was definitely worth it.  Thanks again for a great challenge XXX
Karen

Karen's Description:

3 cc for you
I made a second version of the shaker card because I didn’t like the font of the sentiment I used I made the backgrounds for last week (circles) but didn’t get around to using them
Not sure if I like the layout of the Christmas card a) we only have one Father Christmas usually! and b) I followed Sue’s idea of not having apertures straight but didn’t take into account I wanted to add Ho Ho Ho!!!

Love your cards Karen, the first two cards are just so fun,  I love the style of them, your Christmas card is perfect, Sue's idea of not having rhe circles in a straight line is a brilliant idea, no worrying if you have everything straight! I think that adding the HoHoHo was a brilliant idea it makes the card more fun!  Thank you so much for supporting Sue's Challenge choice XXX

Maria

Thank you so much Maria,  I love your aperture card, The font of your Happy Birthday is so pretty.  The cute little images around the aperture are so pretty, thank you for supporting Sue's Challenge XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

My first Challenge Card this week was made using one of my  TONIC DIE SETS - 'SQUARE FLOURISH'. The backing paper is from my stash and the Butterflies are also TONIC.

My second card was made right at the beginning of the Pandemic and sits on top of the Piano where I can see it everytime I walk pass.
It was made using 'PHIL MARTIN's  stamp set  'DAILY THOUGHTS' (I think it's called). The flowers are from my stash

Oh Janet thank you so much for creating these beautiful cards for Sue's Aperture Challenge, having the flowers over the edge of the aperture really softens the look.  your second card using the Phil Martin's sentiment which is very useful ! Thanks again XXX

Brenda

Brenda' Description:

"The dies are all from Sweet Poppy. I used the two largest to creat the bauble edge."

Oh Brenda you just can't beat Navy Blue & White as a colour combination,  I love the Bauble Aperture idea, I love the font of your sentiment too, adding the blue drop shadow really makes the sentiment pop!
Thank you so much for taking part , enjoy your weekend with family XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description:

Card 1:
Made a shaker card, using printed acetate by Kanban. I’ve used Heffy Doodle slimline dies and My Favourite Things ‘Merry Christmas’ circle die.

Card 2 & 3:
Used LOTV images inside the cards to peek through the apertures. Christmas papers from Studio Light ‘Scandinavian’ collection. MFT ‘Merry Christmas’ circle die and the snowflakes are from Memory Box.

Sonia thank you so much for three gorgeous challenge cards, your  beautiful shaker card would take top spot on anyones mantlepiece, it is so beautiful,  what a genius idea for using up the patterned Acetate, I have some Kanban printed acetate from years ago, ooh thanks 😊 for that idea!! 😘
Your 2nd and 3rd cards are just too cute, you can recognise a LOTV cutie anywhere, you have created the perfect card around them, your attention to detail is incredible Sonia, by the way I might just have to buy that MFT 'Merry Christmas ' die, it works with any style card.
Thank you so much for your inspiring challenge cards my lovely XXX

****************************

Ladies once again you have blown me away with your incredible challenge cards, I get so inspired every week and I'm always sat here thinking  'why didn't I think of that'? !
Sue thanks for a great challenge theme,  you must be so pleased seeing all of these amazing cards XXX

I am going to be trying on clothes from our holiday suitcase today, I have about 4 pairs of every day shorts (knee length) that I have been having to homd up with a belt, since I have lost weight they are way too big.  Not much else happening here, Paul wants to vacuum the car and fit the new mats, thats as exciting as it gets for us!

I hope you have an enjoyable day how ever you are spending it.

Love and hugs on there way to you all,

Sandra

Hoping to make a start on this weeks card today. Have a birthday card to make for James and my nephew.
Just started raining here, so looks like we’re in for another wet and windy day! It did clear yesterday but still very breezy.
Sounds delicious how you cooked your runner beans Sandra, might have to try that. Enjoy your roast dinner today.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. I so enjoyed this challenge Thank you SUE and like you SANDRA I was thinking “why didn’t I think of that” as the cards are beautiful
Had a surprise visit from the grandsons yesterday afternoon which was lovely Wreck it Ralph was in his element trying to physically get into the washing machine! Needless to say he didn’t but he made me smile in that he knew exactly how much to duck to be able to get his head in through the door!
Oscar and I played writing letters and numbers in my new A4 whiteboard which is a boon for work as I forever scribble notes/figures whilst I’m working which can be wiped away leaving no confidential waste paper that I have to haul into the office to be thrown away
Nothing on the cards today It is wet wet and more wet
    Take care everyone x
