Pretty Daisies

Good Morning Ladies,

It feels like it should be Friday today for some reason, this week has really dragged.  The humidity yesterday was almost unbearable here, we had lunch at the local pub on the Thames yesterday, the breeze was wonderful, but as the afternoon went on it just seemed to get more humid, I am hoping that the forecast storm happens tonight and clears the air a bit.  Now it's so different to when we are on holiday, the temperatures far exceed ours but there isn't the humidity plus we are beside the sea so there is generally a breeze. I hope that you are all managing to stay cool and comfortable.

I wanted to create something elegant and simple for todays Challenge card, I used Categories:  Feminine/Stripe/Die cuts

I took a piece of White Linen card and used an off cut to create 3 stripes across the card that I mounted onto foam pads for dimension. I then used a Brittania Die that I have had for years to create 3 daisies,  the foliage was made using John Lockwoods 'Additions' Foliage die, I cut them in Old Olive card and arranged them to create a base for the daisies.  I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of leftover card and added foam pads to the back.  I made this card for a lovely lady in the village that has just had hip surgery,  she was really worried bless her.  I hope this card brings a little smile to her face.

I really need to tidy my craft room today, it looks as though we have been burgled in there, like they just emptied draws and cupboards! I am that exhausted after making a card that I just don't have the energy to tidy my space!  (That's my excuse anyway)!           In this heat even thinking is exhausting!

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Morning Ladies

Why a lovely card Sandra. Both cards yesterday were great too, I couldn’t heave a comment so blogger kept telling me!
Busy day at work, ended up taking a member of staff to A&E as her back had gone into spasm although I later heard she discharged herself without waiting to be assessed. I was meant to be meeting a friend for a meal last night but she cancelled at the last minute so it wasn’t a great day.

  4. Morning ladies,

Hopefully this posts today. Lovely card, I love the simplicity of it.

Joseph and Joshua have worked really hard in my garden the last couple of days, we're beginning to see the fruits of their labours. With Jamie being away so much and my various aliments and Mr. Arthur Ritus visiting so often I'm afraid Mother Nature took over and the bottom half was very overgrown. Where all the blackberries come from I have no idea. They won't be staying for much longer. All we need now is for Jamie to bring round the big trailer to take it all to the recycling centre on his next few days home. I'm going to suggest to our local council that as I pay for the green garden waste bin, contents of which are turned into compost which they then sell onto us via the recycling centre, we are given 2 bags each year in exchange.

Lovely cooling showers last night brought the temperature down to a manageable heat this morning.

    Love 7 hugs

  6. Hi Ladies
Lovely card today & yesterday. We also had rain overnight but no thunder. I’m out to lunch again today. Didn’t do much yesterday as it was to hot. A bit of a breeze today but still warm.
No sign of the baby kid yesterday. Karen & Amber have been sleeping up the field. Hope it hurries up, or else the next lot will be due.
Hope you enjoy your meal out yesterday Sandra.
Take care & stay safe everyone.

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,

What a beautiful CAS card Sandra I really love it. I hope whoever receives this card will enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying looking at it now.

Not a lot on here today we had rain overnight so plenty of water and it’s brightened up at this moment so we might get outside for a little while.
Not a great deal planned for today it’s her wedding anniversary so we just enjoying each other’s company, we will go out later for a meal. The family are all working, so we are planning a big get together on Saturday which is always lovely.

Take care everyone, enjoy your day, Love Brenda xxx

  8. Hi everyone
A beautiful card, love it 😊
Quite a bit of rain here overnight and this morning, but no thunder storm so still quite humid.
Have managed to make a card for this weeks challenge, but only a quick one for a birthday that I nearly forgot! Been so busy at work these last couple of days that I don’t feel like doing anything when I get home!
Hope you’re all having a good day. Hugs to you all xxx
