My first Sketch Challenge card and Happy Birthday Michele!!

πŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’ Happy Birthday Michele πŸ’πŸ’œπŸ’›

Good Morning Ladies,

First up today I would like you all to join me in wishing our lovely Michele a Very Happy  BirthdayπŸŽ‚ ! I hope that you get spoilt and you manage to have a good day despite all of the restrictions XXX

Where did that long weekend go ladies?? I swear it should only be Saturday today! I hope that you all enjoyed yours. I can't believe that we had fans to cool us down on Saturday afternoon and then had to have the Heating on on Sunday!  I put the brushed cotton sheets back on our bed, I sleep really poorly and if my feet are cold it's even worse, I think it's down to poor circulation.  Our Sophie was suffering with chilblains yesterday too, I think she may have Reynaud's the same as our Becca, bless her Chilblains are miserable, there is little you can do to ease them, frustratingly, I hate not being able to help  them when they ask me, I did ask my Mum once as she suffered with them too, she told me that the only way to get relief is to 'pee on them'!! Soph wasn't keen to try that !!!

I am sharing my first 'Sketch' Challenge with you today, ir's a very simple card, I masked off the top left hand corner of my card and the blended Atlantic Blue and Blush inks very lightly over the masked area. I used several different sets of Card -io stamps and a selection of pink and blue inks to create a stamped corner.  The Peony colour works quite well with my favourite Berry Burst card, so I used that to create the die cut border and to cut a mat for the card too.
I used Peony ink to stamp the 'Have A Wonderful Day' sentiment and added a couple of butterflies.
I hope you like my card.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Thanks you for my birthday wishes. We’re both off work today & we plan to have a walk to the beach later. We’re going to order an Indian takeaway for our meal tonight.

Sandra-your Card is gorgeous. I love the bright colours.

  2. Morning Everyone
    HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELE.
I'm hoping you have a lovely day.

I just could not believe the difference this week-end between Saturday and yesterday. Yes we too had the heating on all day yesterday. You really could imagine that you went to bed Saturday night in Summer and woke up in deep Autumn.
We have sunshine at the moment but it's still cold.

Not sure what I'm doing today but maybe I can make a start on my CC.
We had the most awful week last week. Our Dear Friend lost his battle after fighting for three years. He was in hospital with a chest infection which turned to pneumonia added to that the AML it was just too much. He can now rest.

The CAFE is OPEN waiting for you all to pop in.
HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  3. Happy Birthday MICHELE

What sad news JANET LIke you say he can rest now

We didn’t achieve much yesterday and I didn’t do an awful lot of crafting either I sent off Hero Bears to a couple of friends and to the local community nurses About 8 in total and I’ve done 10 blue poppies so far
I wish I could have sent you some buttons CHERYL but all of mine are smaller than you need as I only ever use buttons on baby garments these days

Work in a mo and then who knows what we’ll do this afternoon
    Take care all xx

  4. Morning ladies

Happy Birthday Michele, I hope your day is kind to you.

Yesterday was quite cool and clouded but I felt quite warm doing my daily exercise by clearing the mess of leaves and twigs from the cut down willow tree off the stones in the small garden leaving me with a safer surface to finally be able to start my pruning of dead branches and fronds of the Hydrangea and hart's tongue fern. Pete's Dragon Tongue Lily has appeared, I'm hoping it will be spectacular this year, so far since I rediscovered it the year after Pete left us, it has not grown as tall. High hopes for this year.

    Love 7 hugs

  5. morning everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELE πŸ’ have a very nice day and hope your not get flown away by the wind down the beach today.

Very sorry to hear about your friend Janet. Let him rest in
    peace.
Beautiful card Sandra, lovely colours. I guess they all from SU. Do you still sell their products ?
I wish your girls will soon feel better, sad to see them in so much pain. Sending them gentle hugs.
The wind is still strong here and my clematis had fallen down, trellis had broken away from the fence.
Going for our walk soon, taking the car for a run ca 10 minutes away. A lovely little village to walk around. Will have to put hair up or it just going to slap me in the face. Can't wait to get to the hairdressers but can see it being very busy when it opens up again.
Have a nice day everyone and stay safe. love and hugs xxx

  6. Hi Sandra & ladies
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELE. I hope you enjoy your day as your both off work today. Enjoy your walk on the beach and your takeaway this evening.
Love the card today Sandra. I too can’t believe the change in the weather. It was so dull and cold yesterday. Karen bought me some flowers down yesterday and stood on the drive shivering in a tee shirt. Jill in Colchester said they’d been sat in the garden it was so warm. Sunny here today but very windy. Craig walked from Farringdon to Sainsbury’s in Witney and Jenny came to pick him up. He has something on his phone that maps it out and tells you how far you’ve walked. It was 20.1 miles, he said it was for his Dad.
Take care everyone and stay safe.

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELE, Hope you enjoying your special day, hope it wasn’t too windy for your walk along the beach, enjoy the rest of your day. 🍰 xx

Sandra I love your card, love how you have added depth to your design using that beautiful Berry Burst card for your mount. Now I have a confession to make, when I first looked last Friday at this weeks challenge I thought you were asking us to make four cards. I think the brain cells are getting confused these days, OK nothing new there ha ha ha

I hope Sophie’s chilblains are easier today and not giving her the discomfort she has been having. This changeable weather doesn’t help, wish there was a magic cure.......not the one your Mum suggested.

Take care everyone and stay safe, enjoy the rest of your day, Love Brenda xxx

  8. Hello All, sunny, but very cold. No tea in the garden today.
Happy Birthday Michele, hope it’s a good one.

Sandra very pretty card, have similar stamps, but haven’t had muck luck using them.

Spent all morning looking for some dies that cut little tags, found them at last, going to have another go at my tag book, first one very messy

Have a good day everyone, Lilian

  10. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A lovely card to start this cold day! And I love the colours and that sentiment stamp. As always I marvel at all of the stamped cards you and the rest of us make now. The Cardio stamps are especially popular at the moment, they are so pretty aren’t they. The weather really has changed hasty it! I’m sorry to hear that Sophie is suffering. Give her a hug from me and tell her to listen to her Nans remedy.....not!!!! Take care my lovely xx
Yesterday’s cards are all beautiful, great backgrounds each and every one x
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
