My Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

Here is my Tic Tac Toe Challenge card, it's so lovely to be using bright and spring like colours, I think that we all love the colours of a new season at the start of that season but as it draws to a close it's so nice to move on to the next batch of colours. This particular Patterned Paper Collection is called 'All My Love' and features soft pinks through to vibrant Lovely Lipstick.

So My Categories for the TicTacToe are:  Ribbon/Patterned Paper/Embossing

I cut a white card base 4 1/8 X  5 1/2  inch then matted a piece of  the gorgeous 'All My Love' dsp on top, I then cut a narrow white border and cut a scalloped edge down the length of it and embossed a stitched effect along the  scalloped edge .  I ran a piece of Flirty Flamingo ribbon down the card and finished the top a with a triple bow, which I popped a fussy cut flower into the centre of.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the 'Forever Lovely' stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink and die cut it with one of the Layering Oval dies, adding a scalloped mat of Flirty Flamingo card beneath.
I fussy cut a few flowers from the paper and added around my sentiment.
Quite simple but quite pretty I think.

Oh we have a busy day in our house today..... the girls and I need to finish a few decorations, then at 11am we are all having our hair cut, Freya is lovely and it's always great fun when she calls in.
Then Pauls parents are calling in with a 'Special Delivery',  I will tell you the story...…..

Sophie has asked for an Overhead Projector for Christmas for her art work, so we looked into them and to be fair she had no idea how much they cost to buy new, you are looking at at least £300 +,
we were looking everywhere for one that was in stock and could be delivered in time for Christmas,   I just happened to follow a link to Ebay, (not a place I would look for Christmas presents) the link took me to a Overhead Projector for sale that had 6 hours left and no bids, it said in the description that it has only been used for one project and is 'As good as new'!  So I placed a bid for the £50 minimum (it was midnight) and just left it to fate.  Paul woke me at 6am to see if we had won the auction, so I logged in and we were the only bid so we got it for the £50.  The other thing that probably put people off was that it was in Newton Abbott, which luckily for us is really close to Paul's parents house.  So they went and checked it out today and said it was great and it came with a large Screen too!  So they are calling in to drop it off on their way up to Birmingham tomorrow, which is really kind and helpful.  We don't ever usually get that lucky.   We had asked Sophie if it was one that she would like and she was super excited as it was the same ones as they use at School.

After all that I have to organise an early tea as Paul and I are off to get a few more gifts, we only have a couple more things to get apart from Matt who just doesn't know what he wants, he did suggest a Steven Brown McCoo Painting though. So I will look into that later today.

I hope that your day is far more relaxed than mine,

Have a lovely one however you are spending it,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  2. Morning Everyone
Love today's Card SANDRA. Those colours are so pretty and yes it's lovely to see Spring colours on these dark mornings.

Well it's definitely a busy day in this house. I'm off out for lunch with K&N instead of a crafting afternoon and it's the last day Jim is on duty for this year. He'll start again in the New Year. So he has to take me to the local pub where we're having lunch; get back for his 'duty' run; pick me up when we're finished lunch and then do a 'duty return' before tea. It will definitely be a quiet evening lol.

The CAFE is OPEN so pop in everyone for a chat and a mince pie etc. HUGS are on their way to you all with loads and loads of extras for Dear Friends in need. Take care and stay safe. xxxx

    1. Hi Janet
Thanks for your card. Sounds like Jim is going to have a busy day doing his taxi duties to the hospital. Pete is no longer under the hospital as no more can be done. But he’s under a Macmillan nurse who works in conjunction with Sobell House our local hospice that’s attached to the Churchill. We also have district nurses and Drs visits. But at least they come here. Hope you both have a lovely Christmas.

    1. Hi Margaret
I’m glad your class went well. I can’t remember which card I sent to anyone Margaret. Perhaps you could sent me a photo of the one I sent you and I’ll let you know. It might have been a combination of plates.

  4. Hi Sandra
Lovely card today. Great that Paul’s parents can pick up the projector you bought and deliver it to you. Killing two birds with one visit. Visiting you and delivering Sophie’s present.
Seems like Pete might have shingles. Donna his Macmillan nurse took photos to send to our Dr. So we’ll either have a Dr visit or a phone call and a prescription to pick up from the chemist.

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,
    I see I’m anonymous again - What a pain.
Yesterday’s journey was a nightmare, mostly cause by roadworks, my leg of the the trip took 95 minutes longer than the sat navigator had predicted and then our daughter still had to drive on to Leeds. We also has delays on the return trip M1 and M25 again roadworks and taking lanes out, some were reduced to one lane. I eventually arrived back home after midnight.
Sandra WOW what a bargain you got for Sophie’s Christmas present. Well done.
Love today’s card, it’s so pretty and feminine.
Going to be brave now - trying to prove I’m not a robot

Sleep well everyone, Love Brenda XXX

  8. Hi Sandra and all in today
Do like this sweet card, such a pretty paper. Well done for finding the projector at a great price and for the in-laws for being able to deliver it for you. Hopefully you got hold of the last prezzies so you now can take it easy, not Lol
Karen- glad the op for MIL went well. OH step mum has been taken to a home over the festive season and to middle of Jan. She is getting so bad remembering things, she might have to stay.
Pat-extra big hugs for you and Pete, take care.
Lynda-glad to hear your cough is easing, believe you given it to my hubby instead
Lilian- you take care too. Saw on the news you had a visitor stuck but now gone. Glad nothing got spilled or damaged.
    Sue- hope you ok?
Spent the morning in town. Had a well needed hair cut, bliss when you have a wash and cut once in awhile. Looked for a top to have on x-mas day but couldn't see one I liked so going out again tomorrow near by to have a look and have my nails done. Hope to do some crafting in the afternoon.
Have a good night everyone xxx
