Your Cards for Karen's Animal Challenge

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

Karen set this weeks challenge for us with an 'Animal' theme, you all loved the idea and the amazing line up of cards below show just how much you loved the challenge.  It's so much fun for me seeing all of your cards arrive in my inbox and messenger each day.

Here are all of your cards:

Brenda

Well no Crazy Birds from Brenda this week, her card features a cute cat instead, mind you he looks like he is up the tree looking for the Crazy Birds!  Brenda I love this cat, the mischievous look on its face is comical, you have coloured the image beautifully, adding the puffy stuff for snow was such a brilliant idea, love the snowflakes too.
Thank you so much for taking part in this weeks challenge, I really love your card.

Janet

How bright and cheerful are Janet's cards this week, the first card has a lovely coloured background with a really fun farm scene on top, it's just such a bright, cheerful card.
Janet's second card has been cleverly stamped through the aperture of the card, so that when closed you see the whole image, then when you open it you get to see the image on the inside too.  A lovely country scene with toadstools and Hares.
Janet's third card features a cute pirate that has so much detail, with the skull and crossbones on his Tshirt and his tattered trousers.  He looks like he is about to take on those Hares.
Thank you so much for creating three amazing cards Janet,  it's so lovely having your cards featured again, it just isn't the same without you.

Karen

Karen has made 4 Animal cards for this weeks challenge, the first is the Original card that launched the challenge last week, the Giraffe and the Tiger cards both use Serif Images, I love them both, I love that splattered background too.

The second two cards are amazing, that Stag is so majestic behind those corrugated trees, so a genius idea Karen it has so much texture.  The fourth card is one of Sue's Stained Glass dies.
I will leave Karen's description below:

''Here’s two Christmas ones Really Pleased with the stag one It’s a take on one Pete from Sizzix showed on Hochanda
The trees are cut in corrugated card and brayered with white gesso The grey is splattered with white pen
The robin is a very simple SW stained glass window one I am going to do more of these with a bigger piece of card so that I can do a different sentiment as I think the one I used is too quirky''

Thank you so much Karen for coming up with this weeks challenge and for making 4 amazing cards for it.

Lilian

Lilian has used an adorable Hedgehog stamp for her Animal Challenge card, I love the embossing folder that you have used Lilian and how you have highlighted the embossed detail with green ink, it makes so much difference.  The Ladybirds add a real hit of colour to your card too.
Thank you so much Lilian for taking part in the challenge this week.

 Lynda

Two amazing cards from Lynda for this weeks 'Animal' Challenge.  The first card has an absolutely amazing blended Oxide background, this time you have managed to create an almost misty scene, those elephants are so cute too, they are an old Stampin Up set called 'Love you Lots'.
Lynda's second card has an image that Lynda downloaded from Google, adding Glossy Accents that don't always show up on photo's, Lynda has matted and layered the image onto black and blue card, the blue really picks up the colours in the image.
Thank you so much for two amazing cards Lynda.

Maria

Maria made these two fantastic cards for Karen's Animal Challenge.  The first is a super cute Christmas card, those bears are sweet, the extra snow detail that you have added brings the scene to life Maria.
The second card is Maria's Fathers Day card for her Dad as its Fathers Day in Sweden on 11th November. Maria wanted to create a Safari style card and thats exactly what she has created, how adorable is that Elephant with it's baby hanging on to it's tail.  Such a perfect Father's Day scene.
Thank you so much Maria for two amazing cards.  Enjoy your trip to Colchester, I hope you have a lovely relaxed weekend.

 Margaret

Margaret has used the 'Lovely as a Tree' stamp set to create the background for this lovely Anniversary card that she made for Alan. That majestic owl is from a Stampin'Up! Stamp set called 'Still Night' and has a matching die set called 'Night Owl', you have to zoom in to see the amount of incredible detail that is in this stamped image.  This is an amazing card Margaret, I bet Alan loved it.
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday celebrating your anniversary. Not everyone gets a Firework display on their Anniversary! Wishing you many more happy years together.
Thank you so much for sharing your special card with us.

 Michele

Michele has made 4 cards for Karen's Animal Challenge, the first three cards were made using Little Claire Toppers, they are so cute and as always Michele has got the very best out of every image with her meticulous matting and layering, you have picked perfect colours to get the very best out of every image.  The last and cutest card is my favourite, that Hedgehog family is just adorable, its a printed image that Michele has simply matted the image onto a perfectly matched piece of card that really draws your eye in.
Thank you so much for making 4 amazing cards Michele.

 Val

Val has used an absolutely adorable image of a Kitten for her 'Animal' Challenge card this week, the background is so pretty too, with a pretty pale green floral paper at the bottom and that amazingly deep embossed top, is this one of the Apple Blossom embossing folders Val??
Val has then die cut a scalloped circle in perfectly matching green card and added a beautifully delicate floral die cut to embellish.
Such a gorgeous card Val, Thank you so much for taking part.

Sue

Sue didn't make a Challenge card but made this super cute Rudolph Christmas Ornament instead, we saw something very similar in the Christmas Decoration section of the Range on our visit last week.

Here is Sue's description:

'' I had the Reindeer Die which is a Xcut Mini die,  which measures about 5cm x 5.5cm so I die cut the head our of Kraft card placed a disc of black card on the back for the eyes, the antlers are coloured with a Promarker and the eyes with a black one and used a melted red Pony bead as a shiny red nose.
(I melted Pony beads by spreading them about 1cm apart over  baking/greaseproof paper then put in the oven on gas mark 4 approx. for 20-30 mins. checking a few times)
The Reindeer head is then stuck onto a mini peg, so it can then be stick anywhere as a decoration.
My Beaver Scouts will be making their own versions for Christmas. ''

I absolutely love how it turned our Sue and I have to say that the Pony bead nose looks much better than the tiny pom pom, mostly because Rudolphs nose is supposed to shine.
Thank you so much for taking part.
