Today's card is both my entry into this weeks Global Design Project weekly competition
GDP#158 and another TicTacToe Challenge card.
The categories used for this card are :  Trees/Christmas/Silver

I used the Stampin'Up! Stamp set 'Winter Woods' and its matching thinlits to make this card.
I cut a piece of 'Night Of Navy' card to 4 in X 5 1/4 , a piece of 'Galvanised' (matt silver metallic) card 1/4 inch bigger and then a 'Night Of Navy' Card base measuring 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 inches.
I used the 'twiggy tree' stamp from the Winter Woods set to create the background for my card, I stamped it twice across the card using Whisper White Ink and my Stamperatus Stamping tool, that way I could position the trees in the middle of the card and just move the plate down, which means the stamp is perfectly lined up everytime you stamp it, taking the guess work out and saving your precious cardstock.
I then took a white marker pen, pumped it a couple of times to get ink flowing and then held it above my stamped trees and tapped the end with a pokey tool, which sends a fine mist of ink down over your card, that looks like snow, I love this effect, as it's totally random just like snow fall would be.
Now, before I mounted my Night of Navy topper onto my 'Galvanised' matt I die cut my three twiggy trees from the middle of the card, so as not to waste that piece of card that wouldn't be seen anyway. I then cut three more trees and layered them up to make them 'pop' out from the background.
I then adhered the two layers together and wrapped a piece of Silver Ribbon around the card and added Dimensionals (foam pads) to the back of the Galvanised layer and stuck it to my card base.

My sentiment is from the 'Merry Christmas To All' stamp set and die cut with the matching 'Merry Christmas' thinlets.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark  onto Night of Navy card and added silver embossing powder and heat set. I die cut this with the label die from this set and cut it down and then placed this on Galvanised Label die cut, to die in with the background of the card.
I placed this over the ribbon border, I decided not to add a Bow to this card, it just didn't need one.
