A 'Simple' Challenge card.

Good Morning Ladies,

I eventually managed to get a challenge card made, just a quick and simple one but a challenge card all the same.

I used papers from the 6x6 In colours paper pad, this particular colour is 'Lovely Lipstick' this card was made with just one sheet of the 6x6 paper. I cut it to size and inked the edges with Lovely Lipstick Ink. I cut a base card 4 1/8 X 11 inch and scored it at 5 1/2 inch. (this way you get two cards out of 1 sheet of A4). It's folded at the top.
I used an offcut of the Lovely Lipstick base card to make a border piece, I added a piece of Silver foil edged ribbon, topped with a piece of Lovely Lipstick Ribbon.
I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin Up! 'Stitched All Round' stamp set in 'Lovely Lipstick' ink and die cut with the matching Framelits.
This is the set I used for this card.

I used the flowers from 'Dashing Deer' Suite and die used the Deers Antlers as the flourish to place the flowers upon.  To finish the card I added tiny crystal gems to the centres of each of the flowers and around the label die.

We had another small Riley Drama yesterday, not involving a cat this time though.
We were scheduled to have a landlords Inspection on Thursday this week, they are supposed to come in the first 3 months but this is our first one, although David (Sainsbury) pops round all the time.
Anyway, you know what we are like, I wanted everything perfect before they arrived, so being ill for the part of the week hasn't helped.  Anyway after our night at the cinema I was exhausted Wednesday morning, I clicked on to check that the blog had gone up and noticed that the date was 17th October and it rang a bell so I went to check the letter from the letting agent, guess what.....Yes thats right it was Wednesday they were coming, not Thursday.  I went into a blind panic, nobody was here but me, I had not idea what the upstairs was like as the girls were 'finishing' their rooms when that got back last night!   I felt like death warmed up and so I just called Paul, I asked him to call them and ask them to reschedule.  The thing that worried me was they had said in their letter that if nobody was home that they would let themselves in!  (which I don't think it right).  Luckily Paul contacted them in time and managed to reschedule. Phew drama over!
I am happy to report that I started to feel a lot more comfortable as the day went on. I even managed to make a card, albeit a simple one.!

I hope that you all have a lovely day, fingers crossed for a nice day weather wise.

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
though looking out the windows it still looks like it's night time. The sun is due to rise in about 15mins and I'm hoping that it will rise and be another lovely warm day as I have a pile of washing waiting to be hung out.

I lovely CC Sandra and I'm so pleased that you are back on the road to recovery. Good luck with the inspection though I'm sure everything will be a first class pass.

We are off to Chateau Chinon this morning to get one or two things like wine to bring back with us. It's only half an hour drive but through lovely rolling hills and vast clear views across the Bazois.

I'm having a wonderful time crafting but I still cannot get my head around not doing CCs Silly isn't it. It's only for three weeks.

The car has just got back up the lane so breakfast is here. Have a good day everyone. HUGE HUGS to all of you with loads of extras for Dear Friends in need.xxxx

  2. Morning Ladies

Sandra-what a lovely challenge card for us today. I’m so glad you’re starting to feel better & that Paul managed to alter the of date of the inspection.

I actually managed to get into my craft room yesterday evening & started a challenge card, it’s not quite what I planned but it’s a start! Our new tumble dryer is being delivered this afternoon (between 5-7pm) so Phil doesn’t have to rush home but I can still go to Tesco to do some shopping tonight.

I have 2 meetings this morning then I’m sorting out the Christmas leave with the Dispensary Manager this afternoon-think there will be a few disappointed staff as we can’t give everyone the days off they’ve asked for!

  3. Hi Sandra and ladies
Lovely card today Sandra. I’m glad to hear your feeling a bit better. It was lucky for you that Paul was able to reschedule. Lucky that they’re not doing random inspections. The council in Oxford used to do that many years ago. Not to sure if councils are allowed to do that now. Grrrr publish isn’t original again. I’ll just have to keep pressing and hope it goes.

  7. Hello All, dry and quite warm today. Dried loads of washing, just have to do the ironing now.

Sandra so glad you are feeling better, love your card today.

Joints playing up today, so not up to much.

I still have to clear my last hour in my history to be able to comment, don’t understand but at least it works, sometimes wish I didn’t do updates.

Have a good rest of the day, hugs to all Lilian
