Something Floral For Friday

Insert

Good Morning Ladies,

what have you all got planned for this Holiday weekend? We are having a quiet weekend at home, doing more sorting out. Our car is waiting to have its front brakes done as they started grinding on the discs on Tuesday, so it's not really usable, luckily Becca has gone away for a few days so we have her car, bit of a shock though, it's a new VW Polo,  a bit sporty and has a very loud speaker system which Sophie and Lucy love!!  It's not so easy for me to get into as it's so low, but we aren't going far so it will be fine, it's so handy to have the spare car.

Today's Floral card was made using another of the Free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, this one is called "Amazing You" and comes with matching thinlit dies.
I stamped the flower three times in the top corner and once in the bottom, I also stamped them onto a sheet of Whisper White card and coloured them with the fantastic Stampin Blends, (alcohol pens), I used Dafodill Delight, Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie, I then fussy cut these coloured flowers out, I coloured the ones I stamped on my card too, I then decoupaged the coloured ones onto the matching ones on my card, I then die cut the "Amazing and You" in both black card and calypso coral and mounted one on top of each other and placed on the card base adding the "are simply" which was stamped onto some Daffodil Delight card and cut with the Banner  Punch, in the centre.  I added a few Irredescent Sequins to give some sparkle and swiped over everything with Wink of Stella sparkle pen.
I hope you like the card, oh I almost forgot, I stamped the insert to match the front of the card.

We stocked up on coal for this weekend, it's got a lot colder this past couple of days and we have Snow forecast for Monday. !
Keep warm wherever you are ladies.

I hope you all get at least a little bit of crafting time.

Sending love and hugs to all,

Sandra

    1. Hi Janet
Your weather sounds just like ours Janet. We have heavy rain here in Somerset. We have the radiator on in our room as it’s quite chilly.

Wow-what a beautiful card Sandra, the colour combination is lovely and perfect for spring.

Yesterday was crazy busy but we managed to finish almost on time and it’s nice to have 4 days off work. It’s rained overnight and looks very dulll so hopefully hubby will abandon the idea of gardening!!

    1. Hi Michele
Glad you finished what you had to do at work. Now you can rest easy on your 4 days off. Hope you didn’t have to do any gardening as the ground must be quite wet. No fun gardening wet and sticky ground, well so Pete tells me.

OH works all through the week end - it’s the nature of the job
Tilers are coming to finish off the kitchen so I’m decamping to my craft room - what a shame! I have a few things that need finishing and techniques I want to try eg shaving foam
    Hope JOHN is OK BRENDA

    1. Hi Karen
What a shame OH has to work over the weekend. Great that the timers are coming to finish up your kitchen. What a shame having to decamp into your craftroom. Enjoy 😊.

    1. Hi Margaret
Not a fan off hot cross buns, so I’ll pass on that. I’ll just have a Latte instead.

No it’s definately not a day for walking. Wouldn’t fancy spring cleaning either. Hope you managed to get a play in your craftroom though.

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the cafe'.
Hoping there are some hot cross buns left so I can have one with my mug of tea. Have spent the morning in town shopping for sofas and only hope now we bought the right ones to fit in our small lounge, of course the fireplace will take away a wall but I so wanted one for a long time and especially a day like today it will be lovely even if it's only a electric one. Will try to make the cc later, just need to warm the fingers a bit so they can move.
Have a lovely Easter whatever you are doing and stay warm. Many hugs to you all, Maria xxx

    1. Happy Easter to you Maria. Sounds like we’re all buying new stuff, as we bought two as well. Will need to wait for about 20 weeks for them though.

    2. Where did you get yours when you have to wait such a long time ? Ours arriving on the 2nd of May so we have time to decorate and get the fireplace in first. Have a nice Easter, hugs xx

  7. Hello Sandra,
Thank you so much everyone for your best wishes for John, I’m pleased to say he was allowed home late afternoon yesterday. Everything went well and he can carry on as normal, except no driving for a few days and no heavy lifting for six weeks. The only difficulty he has is sitting down and standing up or any movement that affects the tummy muscles. (We can all release to that can’t we Ladies)

Sandra lovely card today. I love all of the sentiments in this stamp set. Must check them out, that’s if the offer is still on, have lost track of the dates.

Take everyone, Love and hugs Brenda xxx

    1. Hi Brenda
Great to hear that Johns operation went ok and that he’s home 🏑. Hope he plays ball with no heavy lifting. If he’s like Pete he’ll be chomping at the bit to do something rather than resting. Gentle hugs coming your way.

  8. Hi Sandra and ladies
GreT Card today Sandra. Great that you’ve made an nest to match.
Thanks for the kind comments on my card yesterday. The writing wasn’t quite straight on it. But I’ll get there in the end.
Completely lost yesterday as we took Doreen shopping. Went out for lunch then went to the theatre with friends to see Mercury with friends at the Theatre 🎭 in Oxford.
After a horrendous journey we’re finally in Cricket St Thomas. What should have took just over 2hrs took 4 1/2hrs. Stonehenge was a complete nightmare.
