Beautiful Blossoming Basket

Good Morning Ladies,

Today's card is another Challenge card, I just love this 'TicTacToe', it's really versatile.
I went for another Spring theme card, they are just so bright and cheerful, a card to make you smile!

To make this card I used one of the Free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, this one is called
'Blossoming Baskets' and it comes with a 'Basketweave' embossing folder that has the deepest emboss I have ever seen!  It's a really thick folder, I think Sue was as amazed as I was at the depth of the embossing.
I stamped the Basket with Memento ink and coloured the image with my 'Stampin Blends', using Dafodill Delight for the flowers and Old Olive for the foliage, I coloured the basket with 'Crumb Cake' ink and a Blender Pen, I then fussy cut this image (without the overhanging foliage) and then stamped it again and decoupaged the fussy cut basket over the stamped one, giving the basket dimension. I matted this onto a square of Dafodill Delight card, layered my base card with Dafodill Delight and then added my basketweave embossed piece, I layered my basket topper onto the card front and added some 'Crushed Curry' Satin ribbon with a bow and my sentiment, which I stamped and die cut with a flag die, layered onto Daffodil Delight and Old olive flags.
I hope it makes you smile too! XXX

This challenge card uses categories Yellow/Dry Embossing/flowers

I can't wait to see what you all design!

Sue and I had a lovely day, lots of chatting and crafting Sue got on with her challenge card and made today's card. We covered an unbelievable range of topics from Bee's (Keeping and honey), holidays, microwaves and Jacket potatoes and that was in the first hour!  I am looking forward to the results of Sue and Margaret's Glue trials, they are trying different glues and making notes on them and they will let us know their findings.
I can report that Margaret really likes the Colall Glue and Sue wasn't keen on Tonic glue as it made every thing tacky, including Sue's fingers!

Pat is coming over today, so more crafty fun and chatting for me!!

Have a lovely day ladies,

Love and hugs,

Sandra

    1. Hi Janet
Great to hear that your house 🏡 is back to normal. Shame about the power though. Must be quite frustrating for you both.
Hope that your weather is a bit warmer than ours. Must be lovely to be back in your second home.

  2. Morning Ladies

Sandra-another gorgeous card, beautiful colours. This weeks Tic Tac Toe is a great one.

Sue & Margaret- looking forward to hearing about the Glue trials.

Work was much calmer yesterday so a much nicer day. Did my Tesco shopping as we’d run out of quite a few things and there’s no way I’d shop on the Thursday evening before Easter -far too busy.

    1. Hi Michele
Good to hear that yesterday was much calmer. Long may it continue, but knowing hospitals probably not. Not to sure why people go so mad for shopping at holiday times, as the shops are usually only shut for 1 day. I wonder how much of all that food gets thrown away.

    1. Hi Karen
Good to hear you gad a nice tour of the HOP. You don’t expect an MP to be a good tour guide.
Enjoy your visit to the V & A today. At least you’ll be inside so the rain won’t effect you.

    1. Thank you Margaret. Sorry I missed the soup today, it’s one of my favourite.
On the subject of glue - I almost always use Cosmic Shimmer it has never let me down and have used it around the house to stick items. xx

  5. Hi Sandra and ladies
Lovely card today. Great basket with flowers 💐 in it. A lovely free gift 🎁 from Stampin Up.
I only ever use Cosmic Shimmer glue. Somewhere I have some Crafters Companion glue but haven’t ever used it. If I ever find it, I might give it a go. As I’m off to Sandra’s I must find some 6x4 cards to put the backgrounds on that I did last week. I’m not to sure how many I have, but I must have a few somewhere in my craftroom.
Thinking of you today Brenda and John
Hope your feeling a bit more upbeat today Lilian.
A very grey day today and it’s pouring with rain. Unless I hear otherwise I’ll be off to Sandra’s.

  7. Hi all very pretty card Sandra. Enjoy your craft time with Pat
Like Pat, I only ever use Cosmic Shimmer. I've tried a lot of others but always go back to the same one. I won a small CS with a brush in it-ideal for quilling and those intricate little leaves and stems. The glue isn't quite as thick as normal CS but still does the job.
Olive had to have a blood test yesterday and the vet is ringing today to tell us the results.
Off to play crib today for the first time for weeks.
Beautiful sunny day here although a bit breezy.
BRENDA hope John gets on OK today.x
    Hugs to all especially Lilian.

    1. Thank you Val. I’m pleased to say he is now sitting down relaxing and reading the newspaper, I have been telling him if he doesn’t slow down he will end up with high blood pressure and they will not operate.
Hope the news about Olive is good. xx

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sorry I’m late I have been out today for lunch with friends it was lovely and lots of chat to catch up on, when I got home quite tired glad to sit down with a cup of tea . While I’ve been out John has kept himself busy. It was raining this morning but eased off this afternoon so he thought he would have a go at cleaning some of the moss etc. off the shed roof. It’s really a garage, but has only got a personal door so quite a sizeable area to clean. He just has to keep himself busy, not on for sitting down relaxing, His next job will be to pack his bag ready for an early start in the morning to the hospital. THANK YOU SO MUCH ladies for your best wishes they are really appreciated. XX

Sandra what a beautiful card, I really love this stamp and embossing folder, everything just works together even the vertical sentiment it’s all just perfect. Thank you for the inspiration XX

Take care everyone, Hugs Brenda xxx

  9. Hi Brenda
I’m glad you had a nice time today with your friends. I’m glad the rain eased up enough for John to do a few jobs. Petes been out in the garden the last couple of days. But it’s been to wet today. So he went to visit his friend and his wife. They both only ever see careers and Pete ( Petes friend ) wife is bedridden.
