 Good Morning Ladies,
Todays card is Pats trip down memory lane card,
it reminds her of her trip to Rome. I am hoping Pat will stop in later and enlighten us.
The lower pic is of the insert, which matches the front, it looks like Pat has used a script stamp for the background and a nice border stamp for the top bottom and sides.
I think it will do Pat good to have a trip down memory lane today.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you that has offered Pat your support, I know how touched she was to see all of you commenting and wish her well. We both had a lump in a our
throats.
I know I keep saying it and I am probably boring you all to death, but I just love how you all interact with each other and show such love and support for each other it just warms my heart!
Thank you all so very much.
Who has a favourite of Sue's dies so far?
there are quite and mix this time.
I wonder if the shows at the weekends will be sell outs? it seems that Sue is taking them to TV quite early in the launch this time, I know some people will be wanting to wait and see if they win in the draws before buying, mind you I don't think many of us will be paying C & C prices!
But I can't wait to see all the samples Sue will have made, I will be recording it for sure, don't want to miss all that inspiration!
Anyway I must go and have a shower, the girls are in the kitchen decorating cakes to take to school tomorrow, (oh I don't want to look at the mess)! Then we have promised to play one of their games
with them! yawn yawn!!
Tomorrow, I will be blogging from my bed!
Love and Hugs

  1. Morning Sandra,
I'm early once again in The Cafe, which I Love to return to and join in the fun etc, It would be great to have one of your Wall's in your Cafe with all the Beautiful Cards on, I believe Steph mentioned something like that yesterday Bless Her.
Well Pat What A Beautiful, Superb, Card, your so very Talented, and you like Stamping like myself.
When I look over my old cards I think gosh! so many things wrong Bows to large too many flowers, I think I'm getting better now but I'm extremely critical of myself!!
I Love the Stamp and how you've done your insert, do you mind me asking which Stamps you used!
I would like to say a huge hello to a couple of new people to The Cafe Craftynanna, and Jess I know you'll Love Sandra's Blog as much as I do.
Sandra it's so very strange I Purchashed the same Die as yourself
The Flags Die as I never get them right Sue used to laugh at me,
I didn't comment last night on the 4:00 o'clock showing as the other Die I Purchased was the Caribbean Background and I thought it would be so wrong of me to still be in the draw (not though I'd win) but I e-mailed Sue to tell her why and as always she totally understood.
Well my Friend I hope you have a good day in The Cafe, I hope the girls didn't make too much mess baking!!!

    1. Hi Sweetheart,
Thanks for calling in this morning, I hope you get time to call in for a catch up later.
My dies arrived yesterday and they are fab.
I like you can't bear to look back yo the cards of years ago without thinking omg what was I doing!
But craft fashions change and as we get more experienced we look at things differently.
We all gave different styles too I guess, I used to yes loads of peel offs, but now I don't really like them, they are handy for a quick fix, if I use them now I put them on the card then put a double sided stcky sheet over, peel off the backing and cover with micro beads or iced snow, it dies two things , firstly the peel off will never peel off and secondly it looks less like a cheap peel off behind the sticky sheet and frosty topping!
What do you think, should it add that as a top tip?
      Let me know!
I love having you stop by everyday Sam, thank you for supporting me and the others and also for being so welcoming to our new comers.
      Love & hugs
      Sandra xxxx

  3. Morning Sandra, Sam and barbie (Alison) and to all that visit our wonderful cafe. What can I say about Pat's card apart from really expensive and classie looking.
Im glad all our messages helped Pat a little, isn't that what friends do - virtual or in real life support each other ? So here we are, and will continue to do so.
The wonderful wall of craft in Sandra's coffee shop is looking spectacular, so many talanted friends enter here.
You're doing the right thing staying out the kitchen whilst the girls are 'having sisterly fun' together, hope they clean up after themselves LOL.
I applaud you Sam for having the manner's your parents instilled in you regarding the 4pm post yesterday, I know for sure we would do presisley that, but those free grabbers in the craft world just keep grabbing ! Anyway, I dont want to go through all that again, Im sure Ive made my point and always back Sam up on Sue's blog when her soap box is free LOL. Talking of which Sam I got the friend request last night then started 'liking' your fab cards, then... View 200+ more lol, so you will see that I 'liked' a few but couldn't get through the other 200 plus lol but they are all gorgeous, are you and Alison next for Sandra's wall ? PLEASE : )
Poor Theresa, boy oh boy has she been miss diagnosed with her shoulder, I was disgusted and no wonder she has been in total agony, Im sure she will tell you the complete story if she feels well enough poor sweetheart.
I'll wait until you've showered Sandra before I order, it may look a bit odd you making my drink in just a towel lol.
Be back later... Thank you for yesterday Alison, im so lucky to have such wonderful friends. Tina E.. Thinking of you SO much.
See ya later guys. Try and have a good day.
    Hugs.

  4. Hi Sandra, Hi all in the café this morning I've come in out of the cold.
Pat how beautiful is your stamping. Gorgeous card classy and looks vintage. I love it.
Slept on the settee last night, I won't bore you all but as Steph says the hospital failed to spot the fact that I had a fractured shoulde. Had an ultrasound which shows when it fractured it tore the tendon from the bone and that has a tear in it. I now have bursitis and tendonitis. Am I furious no I'm disgusted as I have been screaming with the pain, they went to give me physio, cant imagine the damage that would have done.
Anyway, it's quite sunny out but freezing cold, Emma is leaving tomorrow for her new job and life in Bristol. So I'll call in later and place my order if you have any of your delights left.
I must admit I love the Caribbean collection and the Nobles.
Pat keep strong just call into this wonderful café of Sandras and you will find comfort.

No wonder you are screaming with it. Will keep my fingers crossed that you are seen to in the next few days. Haven't made up my mind as to what dies I'd really like ( the striplets look good ) but I am waiting to see those samples on her show. Hazel x

    3. So sorry to hear about this. Can sympathise with you as have first hand knowledge of this. Fell downstairs and dislocated my shoulder according to the initial X-Ray but then 2 Drs? In A&E decided to manipulate it back into place. They suddenly stopped and said we had better stop because of this lady's age she may have osteoporosis, next X-Ray showed it was broken. I was on Tramodol but couldn't take them. Hope you soon get sorted out at the hospital. Am thinking of you.

  5. Good morning Sandra and all the other lovely ladies that pop into the " coffee shop". I have to say I to enjoy joining in with all the chatter? Late start today and late coming in for my cup of tea. Been putting my post together on my blog, I have put up a rather photo heavy of a " Beer Cake"
Pat you are welcome to my support any day, for one I got a lot of support when I was having my treatment and it helped. Two to me it's just the thing to do. Your card today is gorgeous and like the others it's so expensive and classy. Look forward to seeing more, I think Sandra's coffee shop walls can take them. Steph where's yours!!! Come on can we have a LITTLE peak??? Had to laugh at your image of Sandra serving wearing just her towel? One thing we are all keeping your imaginations going, with coming into the cafe with all those cakes that are on hand, I am enjoying the calorie free ones. Well I'd better make a move Charlie and harris will be back from there walk and I will still be sitting here. I will be back later. Sandra don't please over do it, you have had a very busy week. Did the girls clean up I do hope so. Hazel x

You are right about Steph, I have seen one of her cards and it is the most Elegant Clean and Simple Card ever, perfect for it's occasion too, Steph had got everything spot on, but I won't ever show it without her consent, so think about it Steph, please.
I may never need to make another card at this rate! (Only joking) but it is nice to have a night off every now and then, also we have some amazingly talented crafters among us, all with completely different styles too.
Well I really must get a move on before those girls come home.

  6. Hi Sandra, beautiful card Pat has made, I hope all goes well for her.

I am looking forward to viewing the shows for Sue's fabulous new dies, aren't they lush? Yes the prices on C&C area bit extreme as I always buy mine form Icon.uk where you save at least £5 on each with no P&P. Sometimes though they do have a good deal on a whole collection its just having the money to pay for them lol! Like you I watch the shows for all the inspiration she gives us.

I totally agree with you, I have in the old days when Sue used to demo for Spellbinders bought a huge collection because there was a huge saving, so sometimes you can save. Actually in some of the Creative Expressions shows Sue's embossing folders work out at 8.99 with club discount, which is an excellent price BUT then they go and spoil it all with 2.99 postage! Ok if you are buying loads, but not per item!
So we will watch and see!
      Huge hugs

  7. Good morning Sandra,
Hope you are having a lovely snuggly morning blogging from your bed, don't be tempted to do any crafting though, that glitter, like sand gets everywhere!!
Pat, your card is lovely. I don't do nearly enough stamping but your card has inspired me to get out my stamps and have a play. Hope you enjoyed a trip down memory lane to Rome.
Well ladies, as Sandra is blogging from her bed today we shall have to serve ourselves, just need to work out how to operate the coffee machine.
Now do you want the good news or the not so good...... Tomorrows presenters will be:- Nigel, Dave, and Leoni. Sunday...Leoni (not too bad) followed by J.J and last but not least DB yuk. But you never know your luck, they might change Sunday's presenters by then.
Enjoy your day Sandra and your lovely ladies.
    Hugs all round

    1. Hi Saba,
I am like you and don't do nearly enough stamping, I have been put off by stamping disasters in the past, but Pat is giving me the confidence to have a go, she very kindly bought all the elements to make her floral slider card from the other day and gave me a fantastic step by step tutorial, I am going to leave doing it until next week so that Sue and I can do it together, I may bribe the teacher with an apple though to say mine is best! Haha, I wish you were all closer as crafting together is such fun, we share our hints and tips and ideas constantly, it's definitely the highlight of my week!
Saba......oh no Sunday doesn't sound so good. I can tolerate Leonie because when she is on with someone like Sue she just watches and takes it all in, it's when she is with someone like that Carly from Joy crafts things did egg too silly, their voices were so high that I thought the tv screen would shatter! The last show is a bit of blow though, I have before watched Sue's face when she was on with DB and you could almost read her thoughts, I think Sue was doing her Hi low technique and DB was giving it the "I always do it like this" or "I have been using these for years" like she knows better than anyone! I remember when I used to watch get on QVC they had one of their craft day events and they had Tim Holtz popping in to do a demo, she had made our that they were best friends and that he consulted with get about his range of products etc (you know how she goes on) anyway when he came on, she was all over him, (imagine one of those models draping themselves over a car
bonnet), you could honestly see in his face that he had no idea who she was other than a presenter on QVC, it was so awkward! But a little funny too, she must have felt a right lemon! I shouldn't be so mean I am sure there is a nice, kind person in there somewhere!
She just needs to not go on about how amazing she is when after all if she was that good why isn't she demonstrating products rather than just presenting!
Well Sue may have a sell out on Saturday, I think the main problem is Sue is line family to us and she is on so rarely that we treasure her screen time greatly, so we our a little over protective!
Let's all bombard them with emails so that we can be sure that our friends are the ones to receive sue's fab cards.
      Love and hugs

  8. Hi Sandra
Thanks everyone for your kind words. The card is actually a trip down memory lane to Venice. We have been twice once in a cruise which Pete hated. The other time was when we went to Italy with Gt Rail holidays. No flights just trains all the way through. Anyway both these stamps are made by Kanban. I think they were called the Venice collection. The church one has the border as well and a few squiggle bits with it. The bridge of sighs also has the script with it. As Kanban don't put any names on their stamps, I'm only using my memory. I can't remember where I bought it either. The ink I used round the edges was Victorian Velvet. I'll go onto google and see if I can find anyone who is still selling it. Oh I forgot Sandra, mind would be a tea and coffee cake. Mind you, you made me drool yesterday telling me that the restaurant had Eton Mess and you could have as much as you want. Yummy yummy. My favourite dies are the Noble collection and I've sent for the first rectangle that Sue did a card for the blog, plus the Square one. I hope your giving the hospital what for Theresa. Fancy trying to give you physio. Anyway big hugs to all those in pain today. Hopefully some of us can meet at Ally Pally. I'm going to see a specialist on Tuesday regarding my hip. Sandra made me laugh yesterday. Just imagine Sandra pushing me in a wheelchair and Paul pushing Sandra in hers. We'll have a chain of wheelchairs. Poor Paul can you just imagine his face. Watch your legs girls, we could both be going in different directions. See you all later, hopefully I can find those stamps.

    1. Hi my lovely,
We could start a wheelchair formation dance team, mind you I am useless at my left and right, so could be dangerous, Pat I will get you to Ally Pally even if it means you have to sit on my knee!
Sue, you could leave your stick behind and lean on Pats wheelchair for support, or what about if they invented a double wheelchair like the pushchairs then Paul could push us both! Might be a bit of a nightmare around the craft stands though, we may get some sharp stares!
I am going to have a look at Pondskipper Crafts, that's a new one for me, I love looking at new craft websites.

Pat, I love your card, and thanks for the information on the stamps used. I do hope you are feeling brighter and more hopeful today. I had to laugh at the thought of a "wheelchair" train at Ally Pally, you'll have to get one of those whoo whoo horns to sound when people get in your way!!! xxx
Saba, who is JJ. Howard does my head in as he witters on and on an doesn't let the demonstrator do their job, but DB nooooooo!
Steph, the thought of you and Sam lugging soap boxes around is so funny, but I agree with everything you say.

sorry that you are feeling so done in but i know the feeling as my two LOVE board games as well and you really would rather them play that, than sit in front of a screen all the time. A good rest will do you the world of good and give you back some of your get up and go that has got up and went.
Pat, i love your beautiful card and i can see why it would remind you of times gone past in your life. What a cracker of a card to give either a man or woman as it is so prefect in style for anyone to love. I am sorry that your beloved OM is having a few mishaps the now and that you are so worried about him. Tell him i am sending him a big cuddle with orders to behave himself and get back on the better health path and not have our friend beside herself with worry. Sorry the cheeky Norah comes out now and again but i mean well for him, honest. I have everything crossed that i can for him and it be positive news and just a wee blip disrupting the apple cart the now.
Oh i am so happy that people know what a flea cemetery was as i know the youngsters up here go YEUK! What's that. Have you ever tried to explain something that you have only ever known by one name but it is out of commission nowadays. It's like i have bunkers in my kitchen but when i went looking for new ones trying to find the new word for them and the kids of today hadn't a clue what i was on about and kept directing me to coal bunkers. A back kitchen is now a utility room, but it will always be a back kitchen to me or the press in the kitchen which is now called a cupboard, all things that existed when i think a few of us were younger.
Ok, now that i have went back into the past again i will leave you all with the beauty of today.
Love and crafty hugs dear angels,
    Norah (Glenochil)
PS. the house 3 down from mine is up for sale at the moment but they have this crowd in to do repairs to it. I have a young man up a ladder stripped naked to the waist as he paints away at the house in the gawds awful green colour that the houses started out as, yeuck. It is a roasting day of 3 degrees now and the sights that you see but at least he is tall slim and quite handsome looking with no beer belly which i am thankful of small mercies as there is nothing worse than the local adonis showing off with a belly hanging over the shorts.

No offence meant, your comment about him just made me laugh, and that is always a good thing isn't it, making someone else smile:)) Names of things have changed haven't they? Younger people look at you like you are mad don't they! Take care x

      Delete
    2. Norah, you are drooling sweetie, pull yourself together, or how about imagining it is Campbell up that ladder, would you still have your eyes fixed!!! Hahahaha
You NEVER fail to make me laugh, with your stories, what is a bunker??
Where do these words have their origins, why would a cupboard be called a'press' or a 'press' be called a cupboard for that matter, I get back kitchen, that's quite easy to understand?
By the way we love the 'cheeky Norah' she us always welcome, alongside all the other Norahs, we love you however you are!
Sending you warm hugs, (although I imagine you need a cold shower) ,
      Love
      Sandra

PS you will wear a hole in that window if you keep polishing it!

    3. Oh Norah!
I've been in stitches laughing! The bunker is a new one on me! I'm from Ayrshire originally but haven't heard that one! My husband's uncle from the Moray Firth use to talk about going to his bunker! I thought the coal bunker was an odd place to sleep - turns out it was his bed. So bunker = bed, worktop , any more I wonder . The things we chat about!
      Lots of love, Myra xx

    4. Norah, can I come up to stay with you while the house 3 doors away is being decorated! On second thoughts, I'd better not - wouldn't do my blood pressure any good lol. xx

    5. Hi Norah you've given us all a lovely laugh, love the idea of you watching the young man up the ladder, my mum would've said - if you keep looking you'll sore eyes !!!!!

    6. Norah, here's one person, Who knows what you are on about, I was sat on our bunker when I was little to get washed. A good few years ago Tammy (daughter) myself went to view a flat with a young friend, the agent stood at the door saying it was a very big spacious flat, well you couldn't swing a hampster let alone a cat! Well this flat was two small rooms and a toilet. The sink and bunker were in the window, cooker was in the press ( yes cookers were often in there folks) anyway Alison the young lady looking for a flat lifted the lid of the bunker and said " oh well this should sleep a couple of children that will solve the sleeping problem". Well Tammy and I nearly wet ourselves with laughing as the look on the agents face was a picture. Silly women should have said "it's a bit small" then again after watching " houses under the hammer " in London it would have cost not the £15,000 but more like £300,000. I bet your windows are the cleanest in the road after all that polishing of them you have done today. Poor lad will suffer in his old age, and will wish he had kept his shirt on. Thank you Norah, I did say to Sue when I meet her last year that she should tell you to write your stories into a book, it would be a best seller. You bring back so many memories to us all. Hazel x

  18. Hi Sandra. Woud you believe it, I was all ready to comment this morning then thought I will just get some toast and a cuppa and bring them back to bed and comment. It is now 1.15pm , I am still not dressed and have only just sat down! I should have known better, I get sidetracked when I go downstairs and do this little job, then that one, feed the Beardies (we have 2 Bearded Dragons) one of which decided that he wantedto stay out and have lotsof cuddles today!
Anyway I am here now. Please can I have my cuppa and what ever you think I would like best, as long as it is chocolatey.
Pat, I hope you and Pete managed to get some sleep last night my lovely friend. This card is gorgeous, it shows off your fantastic stamping to a tee. I hope you have had a lovely wander down memory lane.
Sandra, I hope you are resting in bed after your hectic week my lovely. Sorry for the comment I put on Maureens post, couldn't resist teasing the ladies : )
I am off to look at Sues noon blog now to see what she has created for us.

    1. Hi Sue,
Do you want to come round for pyjama party! I am not dressed either, I saw girls off this morning, came back to rest my swollen knee for a bit, heard from one of the coffee shop regulars that there might be a new series you tube video from Sue, started to watch it, must have seen first five minutes, next thing I knew Paul woke me up for lunch !!!!!! How Lazy am I,all I can say is that I was clearly tired, mind you like you I have been topping up my morphine through the week to try to keep going and that does eventually catch up with you, as you discovered on Christmas Eve!
No sign of baby yet then? Bless her I bet she just wants him out now, you get to the point of trying anything don't you!
Well I had better get dressed and drag a comb through my hair before the girls come home!
See you in coffee shop late,
      Love you

Good Afternoon - As promised in my last post on yesterday's blog here I am for my first cup of coffee and to see what's on offer today. Pat I love love your card for today. Monochrome and pencil drawings are one of my very favourite themes. My Dad was a first class artist and pen/pencil/ink drawings was always he first choice of medium. So you have brought me many memories today.
Although I have left my thanks on yesterday's blog I want again to thank all of your for your fantastic comments and as I said I'm certainly not used to wonderful comments as I received yesterday. I have started to look for some pics of France and will send some on to Sandra when I have managed to chase some down. Oh please may I call again.

  20. Hi Ladies,
I am currently sat watching Create & Craft there is a sewing show on with the girl from The a Sewing Bee, she is a little OTT, coupled with the frustrating Jacquie! The fat quarters they are selling were in the Range for a lot less,
I love watching the sewing sided if it though, she has just shown us how to make a box pleat on a sleeve, she made it look easy! It's got my fingers itching to see! Paul bought me a new sewing machine 2 christmas's a go, that is sat gathering dust, she really has the knack of simplifying the instructions. I just wish the presenter would SHUT UP! The guest has to keep saying 'sorry to interrupt! Gggrrrr!
Sewing corner in the coffee shop?

  21. Good afternoon Sandra and all in the Coffee Shop, now, earlier or later.
Hope you are all well if not I am sending some (((((hugs))))) please help yourself.
Beautiful day here again, thick white frost this morning but it's all gone.
I really like today's card, absolutely stunning, so very different. Ooo!!! hubby would have loved that trip all the way by train. He's up in his "garret" playing with his "trains" . Now just in case some don't know what a "garret" is its the Attic.
Norah you are so funny with all your words, however I sometimes do call the worktop the bunker. Our first house had a "scullery" I have a utility room which is bigger than that scullery ever was.....changed days. Hope your eyes are not hurting too much watching that hunky workman!!.,
    Have a wonderful day,

    Patricia x

    1. Hi Patricia,
Another 'local' word "garret" , we call it the loft, Paul's dad had a fab train set up there. The children loved it, but the moved down to Brixham and didn't have the room for it sadly, he joined a scheme in Wales where you could go drive a steam train on weekends, he loved that! There is something romantic about steam trains!
I guess the beauty of a train holiday is that you have room to get up and move about and you can both enjoy the scenery, unlike driving or going by plane.
Coach holidays just don't appeal to me, not sure why, it woks depend on who else was on board!
I wouldn't mind being on a coach with you lot on route to Janet's craft retreat in Burgundy, be a noisy journey though.
      Hugs my lovely,

Can you just imagine NORAH sitting and drooling over her Adonis 3doors down. But is he mad, a warm 3 degrees and he has stripped off his shirt. Why do these youngsters never feel the cold. They trot off at night to clubs in the winter wearing next to nothing. Mind you its always colder up in Scotland Norah. Enjoy the view while you can. Thanks to everyone for your comments about my card. Hoping to see more guest designers. I do love watching all the different cards made with dies. Pity we don't have a virtual post, then we could all borrow each other's dies if we saw one that we liked. Look how much money we could save. We might only do a couple of cards with a particular die, so they will just sit in a box gathering dust. This is what Sandra and Paul would like to do, open a shop where we could borrow the dies we wanted to use. Anyone have assay a million pounds going spare, that should cover it. Thought not, must be a win on the lottery then. Hugs to you all. Pete's busy playing scrabble on the IPad and cursing it as it keeps going straight to the front screen, after he's had a go. Oh well, at least it's taking his mind off of hospitals. He keeps saying he won't be seeing christmas. Mind you he has been saying that since he had Bowel Cancer 10 yrs ago. He brings that out every time he has a setback. So nothing new there then.
Crafty hugs to all, not to sure if I'm repeating myself here.

  23. Hi Sandra ,
I hope you have had a good rest after your busy week. If the coffee shop is still open I'll have a cup of tea and custard slice please.
Pat, your card is lovely. Such an original idea too. If only I could stamp as well as you!
Thank you Sandra, for inviting me to showcase a card and I do appreciate it, but I am not confident just yet to go 'public' on the blog. I make cards to give to family and friends and any spare I give to a local Care Home to sell at their fete for the residents entertainment fund. Apparently they do all sell though I don't know what they charge for them. I haven't done much crafting lately, haven't had much time to myself and also my mojo has gone AWOL. Hoping for some inspiration from Sue.
I have stopped reading the comments on Sue's blog (sorry ladies) but I can't stomach the freeloaders. Although I followed the blog for many months before leaving a comment, it never entered my I head to blog just for the freebies. The gall of some people beggars belief!
Theresa I hope the hospital can help you with your pain relief soon. It is frightening as well as disgusting that the doctors failed to give the correct diagnosis. Doesn't give much faith in the hospital, does it?
Pat, Pete is a man after my own heart - I enjoy playing scrabble on the iPad and I often let out a few expletives!
Off to make a plum crumble now. I'll never be slim, I love puddings too much.
    Take care all

Is your scrabble playing up as well. Pete is not a happy bunny as his keeps dropping out. He said what's times tea as he loves a crumble. Pete's friend across the road from us died a few years ago. Pete always pops over on Friday afternoon to see if she wants any jobs doing. Mind you after he's done a few she always gets him a bottle of wine. He always grumbles as he keeps telling her he doesn't want anything as he's happy to help. Must read the rest of the bloggers before you, as I read some this morning but seemed to have missed something about meeting up. I'm up for driving us anywhere Sandra.

  27. Goodness me its crowded in here, is that someone in pj's ??! The smell of coffee and baking is just lush. Latte and custard slice for me please, im really hungry ( good job its virtual considering we eat in about an hour and a half) ! Spent the day busy chasing my tail, early start - 4.20 due to dog up chucking again !! 2nd morning in a trot (no its not early morning sickness) ! Had a wonderful suprise through the post, a dear friend of mine had sent me a suprise gift from JS.. Noble square Adorned die : 0 I was stunned, amazed, excited, and confused lol so called JS to ask if it was an error, then contacted my friend who admitted to spoiling me and I couldn't believe it, so I emailed our Sue and asked to re-draw or donate the die if my name is drawn out. It cuts like a dream thank goodness as was worried I would have a.repeat of one of Sue's other new USA dies. Then had an order through for 12 cards required for the 22nd !! All with specific requests... Rugby/ football/ grand prix/fudge (bleeping fudge ????!!!) anyone got a stamp to do with fudge lol jewellery/fashion/music bla bla blaaaaa so looks like its head's down but NOT until after Sue's show's.
Well latte drank, custard slice in a doggy bag to finish later and Im wilting, so see you all tomorrow, enjoy your weekend ladies.

  28. Hi Sandra
My word you did make me chuckle with your description of us both at Ally Pally with a double wheelchair. Like you I used be awkward with my left and right. I remember many moons ago taking my driving test. I remember going down Lime Walk in Headington. The instructor said when you get next junction turn ---. Well I turned right, so a bit down the road he asked me to pull in and switch off the engine. He then asked me if I knew my left from my right. I told him I did so he asked me which was which. So I held up my right hand then my left, and asked him why he wanted to know. He said, I asked you to turn left at the next junction and you turned right. Well I was mortified, he asked me to drive on. I then thought well he's never going to let me pass my test now. But I must have done everything else right because he passed me. Well I was over the moon.

  31. Hi everyone, sorry to have missed my coffee this morning, the reason being I am a member of a craft association and we have little shop in Grangemouth where members can sell their wares. Each member takes a turn at manning the shop and a Friday is my day, the shop is open from 10 til 4.30 Tuesday till Saturday. We sell jewellery, knitting, patchwork, art, mosaic, wood turning, photography, glitter glasses, small fimo figures, air dried porcelain
Flowers hand made cards. As you can see we have a diverse lot of crafters. We enjoy the banter of our customers and take commissions for anything we offer, everything is reasonably priced.
I will just have to have to have a wee nightcap instead of coffee today.
Norah, I love your outlook on life, enjoy looking at your young painter, I remember when one of my neighbours was getting their garden done by the guys brothers, they all took their shirts of and shouted 'it's diet coke time' what a laugh, some of them were needing to have some themselves!
I will certainly be in tomorrow for my morning cuppa.

    2. Ok Ladies please don't Lynch me, but I have met Dawn Bibby and she is a kind, generous and wonderful person. When her husband walked out on her she did what all women would do and go and see a trusted friend, Leonie. She was spotted by someone in QVC and was fired immediately and walked out of the studios, not even getting chance to say goodbye to her friends. QVC thought C&C were trying to poach her. I know we all like Sue to demonstrate the dies and that Dawn does not let her do that but I for one am sorry that she is leaving. Everyone feels differently about different presenters and I know that Dawn has been missing being a crafter.
      Hugs Theresa xx

    3. Dear Theresa, you are as entitled to your opinion as everyone else is my lovely, in fairness to Dawn she did get a lot of people started on their crafting journey, so she does deserve respect for that, I have heard a few stories regarding her departure from QVC, and the same about the gossip about her and Leonie's friendship, I always got the impression that it was her needing time off for medical reasons that inhibited her crafting on C&C, back in the days where I watched daily, she was advised medically to step back from the stress of designing etc was the announcement at the time!
I don't doubt she gave a lot up for her career on C&C, home, pets etc.
my personal irritation is her constant whining about her health or personal problems, also I cringe when she can blatantly ask for free things from craft guests! When there are a lot of people that are in a lot worse condition medically that don't constantly feel the need to tell everyone.
I want you to feel that you can express your opinion on absolutely anything my lovely!
It would make for a boring world if we all liked the same thing!
I am sorry if I upset you in any way, I certainly wouldn't want you to not feel comfortable or welcome in the 'coffee shop'
