Good Monday Morning Ladies,
Welcome to the start of a new week, crazy to think that tomorrow is the last day of June!
We had a really lovely day on the beach yesterday, we stayed until around 8pm, we thought it was going to be windy but it wasn't at all, I had a good hour or more in the sea which was heavenly, Paul and I were in for a while then all of us went in together, the sand got so hot though, I thought I had given myself actual burns on my feet, it hurt so much, luckily an hour in the med was the cure!
This is so true, there are days that I definitely don't have my life together! On such days you just have to cross your fingers and hope you make it to bed time unscathed! 🤣😂
Today I am sharing a clean and simple card that I made using bits of Alcohol lift ink that I did weeks ago.
For this I used the second from the right!
I cut the hexagons 'tuck in' die into the left corner of my card top layer, I then added a piece of that inky background behind the die cut area. I raised the top layer off of the background using foam tape for a bit of dimension.
I took my Gummiapan Dragonfly die and wanted to get a bit of that darker colour at the top, I managed to get it on one wing, as you can see in the close up!
I stamped my sentiment and embossed in Silver to match the body of the dragonfly.

We were going to go into Rome but would have mean an hour+ on train etc and temp set to rise to 36’C So we’re staying on our lovely air conditioned ship!
Cannot fault this ship at all and with 8 restaurants too It feels like we’re eating in the Savoy every meal time Service everywhere is exemplary

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are really relaxing now my lovely. Just what you all deserve. I hope you don’t burn your feet again. Cold water is the ideal treatment though. Rather you than me if the sea is cold. I’m happy just paddling looking for shells. Enjoy yourselves xx
It is much cooler here today only low 20’s 🤭
I had to put the cotton sheet over myself during the night, first time for a couple of weeks or thereabouts.
The last three days have gone by in a blur. Painters havent properly finished several places but left lots of paint where it shouldn’t be including every doors furniture, sockets and light switches amongst other places! And that is after I called them back on Friday to finish properly. I have left it in the hands of Checkatrade complaints department who have been very helpful. Thank goodness we have only paid a deposit at the moment! Banging stress headache since Saturday. Can’t wait for it all to be finished and to get back to normal- for us anyway 😏

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I love the background/ scrap bit that you have used. Also the dragonfly is very nice 🙂. So lovely for you all to spend time on the beach and the sea. Don't keen on the sand that goes everywhere but I prefer the sea to the pool.
I'm glad it was cooler today because we had to clean the house a bit for we have sister in law and her husband coming to us tomorrow. I'm so glad that she is able to come out more.
