A tag card without a tag!

Good Morning Ladies

I hope that you are all well my lovelies, I know that we are all getting a bit sick of this terrible weather, we haven't gotten around to preparing the actual vegetable plot yet as we are waiting for the Purple Sprouting Broccoli to finish, the weeds around the Broccoli beds are out of control, they have shot up over the past 2 weeks, I swear that the grass looking weeds are virtually knee height! The good thing is that the ground is so soft that even the toughest weeds are just pulling out so easily that it won't take long to clear it.  Our strawberries are looking the best they ever have, we just need a little sunshine to ripen them!  We are going to net them this weekend so that the birds don't get them before we do.  Another job to add to Paul's list! Fingers crossed that if won't be pouring with rain.

Now on to today's card, I thought that I would make something to show that you don't necessarily need an actual 'Tag' die to create a Tag for your card.
I reached for one of my favourite Stampin Up! Stamps  Art Gallery (for today, I will have another favourite tomorrow)! I stamped the flowers and stem and die cut them to add to my tag (label), I used colours that feature in my background paper, Island Indigo and Pool Party. I popped foam pads behind the flower and stem and placed it on my tag, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with one of the dies that come in the Art Gallery die set, I took my base card 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches and matted and layered my patterned paper and a piece of the Island indigo card for contrast. I used the Island Indigo ink to colour some of the seam binding ribbon to tie through the tag with a piece of white too.
I hope that you like the card and that it gives you a little inspiration if you don't have a Tag die.

I hope that you all have an enjoyable day, fingers crossed for sunshine,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-what a beautiful card, I love the colours you have used.
We had very strong winds yesterday and rain in the morning although it was sunny when I eventually got out of work.

I’m hoping for a less chaotic day today and to be able to get out of work on time. Then my plan is to start my challenge card tonight.

    Lovely card and colours
Windy again here but bright. I’m meeting my friend for a coffee this afternoon. So apart from a walk that’s my plan for the day. I’ve just seen that my comment from yesterday popped up on your other blog Sandra. I just went to message Karen and noticed it. Very odd that, as I don’t very often look on that blog..
take care & stay safe everyone.

  4. Morning everyone.
Love the card Sandra, pool party is such a nice colour.

They had some beautiful strawberries at Frost for £ 3.99 a punnet, a bit pricey so didn't buy any but thinking of getting some for a pot on the patio. Going back tomorrow for breakfast so will have a look then :)

  5. Hi everyone
Love your gorgeous card today, and the colours are beautiful.
Just home after doing a few hours overtime at work and hopefully get some craft time in. Finished my card yesterday after deliberating what to do, I didn’t want to just leave what I’d already started and am quite pleased with how it turned out.
Have a good day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,

What a beautiful card Sandra love the colours you’ve used. At the moment this is my go to favourite go to stamp as well, so it will be no surprise that I just love everything about your card. xx

Went to Asda this morning with John and then we had a couple of tasks he wanted doing online so I completed those and sat down afterwards and that’s been me for the day, Like a lot of you I haven’t been sleeping well lately, I don’t know why I feel tired and then when I get into bed I can’t sleep, I’m trying not to sit down too much in daytime but some days you just have to give in to your body don’t you.

I will go and check the greenhouse now before starting dinner, not a lot to do, we are having spaghetti Bolognese just the vegetables and spaghetti to cook so it will not take long.
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
