Good Morning Ladies,

Well today is going to be a hard one, I hope and pray that Mum would be proud of what we have done to give her the best Funeral Service possible given the frustrating complications of the Covid Pandemic.  I spent most of Saturday allocating the 6 remaining spaces after Children and Grandchildren, so I hope that there are no upsets over places etc.  One thing that I didn't think about was that we will all be sitting 2 metres apart, I think that this is the one time I would like Paul and the girls at my side, this is their first funeral as they were too young when Dad died, I have done my best to talk them through the whole thing so that they know exactly what to expect, Matt and Becca came to Dad's funeral so they have a better idea, these are those moments when you want to wrap them up and protect them.  We still haven't made any final decisions on what we will do afterwards, we will play it by ear and see what the weather is doing.      One thing is for sure I will be making sure that my Brother and Sisters stay in touch, they have a habit of not bothering to contact one another for months at a time, which I think is so sad, in some respects we have nothing to return to Rowhedge for apart from visiting Mum at the Cemetery, so I will be encouraging them to come and stay with us as much as possible. It would be nice to have a nice family Christmas but I think that the Covid restrictions are still expected to be in place then so that won't work.  We have agreed to get together as a family for Mum as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

Today's card features the Flourish Filigree Stamp set.  All I have done is stamp that beautiful filigree stamp in the background with Versamark ink, add embossing powder and heat set, then do the same with the sentiment and punch that out with matching punch and pop it in the centre of the filigree stamped image.
I don't think it needs any other embellishments, just let that stunning stamp take all of the attention.

The measurements of the card are:

The Base card is 4 1/8 X 5 1/2 inches

The layers are 1/4 of an inch larger

Quite a quick an easy card, I love the simplicity though!

I hope you all have a good day your wonderful love and support will help me get through the day.

Love and extra hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  4. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sandra you are all in my thoughts and prayers, I am also surprised to wI’ll have be
2 meters from Paul and the girls. In churches and places of worship you are allowed to sit close to your immediate family. That’s unless it’s changed in the last couple of days. Sending love and prayers to you all. xxx
Wise idea to see how the day goes and play it by ear.

Beautiful tasteful and classy card today.

  8. Hi Sandra & ladies
Lovely cards today Sandra. Hope today went ok. Like Karen I was surprised you said you’d all have to sit 2 metres apart as your part of the same household. Well all apart from Becca & Matt of course.
Was fine this morning first thing and I managed to get a quick walk in before it started to rain. Yarnton nurseries fooled us when we went in as it’s been all changed in the restaurant. Different entrance & we needed to wait to be seated. All part of the new Covid rules but I didn’t think are rules had changed.
Take care & stay safe everyone.

  9. Hello, All, from a very wet Cornwall, many roads flooded this morning, but the sun is shining now.

Sandra thinking of you all today, remember to take some time to yourself when today is over.

Cards are lovely, perfect for those that are not friends and family, always difficult to do.
Still living in total chaos here, although I have a kitchen sink, and oven and microwave, but no hob yet.

    Sending hugs to all. Lilian

  10. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I hope that all went well today my lovely. I’m sure your Mum will have been so proud of all that you have done for her over the last few weeks. It will be difficult for Soph and Lucy but you have done the right thing by preparing them. You should have been able to sit with them and Paul as you all share the same home. You must take time to be gentle with yourself now as you will need it xx
It’s a horrid grey damp and chilly day here but I hope it’s nicer where the rest of you are. I have a card that must be finished by Friday and also one that needs to go in the post very soon..... wonder who they are for 😊 it’s always lovely to be making happy cards for special people.
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for SANDRA, Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
