Mixed Up Saturday Featuring Michele's Mag Review & Snooping

 Danni

Michele's Amazing Acheivement

Good Morning Ladies,

We have a shopping filled post today, lots of shopping from Ally Pally and more, we all bought a wide range of craft goodies, I have started to see some of the new things used on some of this weeks challenge cards.

First up today we have some really cute Easter Baskets that Danielle has made for her girls for Easter, they are so much nicer than just getting an egg, I love the papers that Danielle has used for her baskets, they look really Spring like.  I know that your Girls will absolutely adore them Danielle, thank you so much for allowing me to share them.

Michele reached a HUGE Milestone this month, she received her Emerald Award for making her 75th Blood Donation!!
Michele this is such an amazing achievement, you should be so very proud, just think about how many people your kindness has helped, I know I have received several blood transfusions over the many orthopaedic surgeries, so I am hugely grateful to you and anyone else that gives blood.
Wear your badge with pride my lovely XXX

Now we have our weekly feature...…..

Michele's Magazine Review

Hi Ladies

This week is Diecutting Essentials magazine. There’s a gorgeous die free this month and lots of inspiration inside the magazine using the free gift.

Here’s some extra ideas to get more out of the free gift.

Here’s just one of the features showing you what you can make with the free Dies.

There a great feature on Slider cards plus an absolutely brilliant feature on cards for men using Alphabet Dies which shows 7 very different cards.

For anyone who loves the look of the “pop up cards” but struggles to make them-look at the free gift next month!!!!!!

That’s all for now-Happy Crafting.

Love Michele .

Thank you so much Michele for another fantastic Magazine Review, I really like how many examples they have showing inspiration for the free gifts. I really appreciate the time you put into this feature each week. XXX

Didn't we all do buy some amazing things???, I was mainly shopping for different colouring mediums, I have wanted to have a play with Alcohol Inks and Yupo paper for a while, the Sheena Pens have been on my list for a while too, I love them already! The stamps were all from Honey Doo, I think that Brenda and I contributed heavily to their stand fee for Ally Pally, lol, we both love their stamps and so does Lynda, you wait until you see one of her Challenge cards tomorrow!
The Sue Wilson die was a last minute impulse buy from A crafty Place, the pearl swirls were reduced to an absolute bargain price so it would have been rude to leave them behind.
I have started playing with my alcohol inks and yupo paper, I now have to convince myself that the 'random/messy' look is OK, as there is no actual control with this medium, I have set my backgrounds to one side to see if I can get inspired to use them.

I can't wait to see what you all make with your new goodies, Lynda you got some lovely masks made by Leonie, they are really pretty.  Brenda was buying for her Sister Anne as well as herself, Anne is absolutely loving her new hobby and is already getting orders in for cards, it's such a therapeutic hobby and it will make her recovery a lot less tedious.  I can't wait to see some of her cards Brenda.
Thank you all for sharing your shopping with us, judging by that list we are going to have some incredible cards coming in for our weekly challenges. XXX

I hope that you all enjoy your weekend, hopefully you will all get to play with your new things.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Danielle-the Easter egg baskets are so cute, they’re lovely.

Great crafty shopping on display today-some gorgeous goodies.

I showed my colleagues my award & our IT manager has arranged for the hospital to do a feature on it/me in the next edition of Trust News which is our online newsletter. As much as I hate having my photo taken, I’m hoping this will promote giving blood.

We’re off out for lunch today-my brother & wife are on their way back from 2 weeks traveling round France in their Campervan and have suggested we meet up with Dad for lunch. Let’s hop the ferry crossing & the journey up is problem free.
